Life-changing. If adulting was a sliding scale from 1 to 10, this just gave me a full point. I feel empowered on the business/legal side of filmmaking in a way I've never felt before.
Halfway through reading this I went on an excited fair use rant in class and I'm worried I'll never live it down
This book is essentially a textbook for people who need to know about copyright and other related legal issues when creating film and television. It's written by lawyers from a law firm that specializes in the subject. It is still a very digestible book for people who are not that familiar with the law. There are also lots of sample contracts included in the book. It seems like a great book for people who need a crash course in this area.
