I really appreciate the message that boys and girls are different, and not one is more or less. However, the rhyming scheme was poorly executed, and a number of the lines and stanzas fell super flat and even repeated because the writer and editor couldn't work out something better. The illustrations are very bright, and while they are well drawn I don't love them because of the oversaturated colors.

I think a different book could better convey the message that boys and girls are different and special in his or her own way.

- this book is not even good at being supportive of gender roles which it was supposed to be conservative and weird and they even failed at that.
