Their next mission is guaranteed to be a cluster.
Alice Luck and the rest of DeepService Team One just met their next client, and he's a nightmare. Too bad they're forced to drag him along on their mission to match his insufferable species with unsuspecting mates.
In their quest to find a flashy suitor, the crew heads to Britannica, where American culture has a stranglehold on the inhabitants, audition-based TV shows reign supreme, and the death rate is as big as Texas.
But after a second mysterious assassination attempt, the crew's search for answers leads them through the infamous containment barrier of Star Cluster B, an area of the universe most people are too smart to mess with. And DeepService Team One's discovery could tear the crew apart...
Cluster Luck is the second book of the Alice Luck Space Adventures comedy series. If you like high-brow science humor, low-brow double-entendres, and a whole heap of recklessness, you'll love this space comedy series from H. Claire Taylor.

Reader, PMS survivor, Texan, satirist, author of the Jessica Christ series and the Kilhaven Police series, podcaster, blogger and oversharer.

Send me book recommendations for humor, psychology/sociology (criminal is the most fun), indie publishing, artificial intelligence (not too technical; I'm an English major FFS), or marketing. Bonus points if you recommend something that's all of the above.

I read fantasy, sci-fi, and lit fic unless someone pushes it on me, at which point I rebel and make sure to never read that title. I don't understand it either.

The utterly brilliant writing continues from book one.

I always enjoy books that make me laugh and H Claire Taylor delivers on that every single time.

The story, the jokes and puns and the characters are just superb. A great escape from reality.

I'm just about to finish book 3 and have a five month wait for book 4. It's gonna be a long summer.

Not as funny as the first book. I’ve had high hopes, but even had hard time finishing. Will give the third book a go, hope it’s more like the first in the series…

H. Claire picks up right where she left off! The characters continued a solid development with each adding a new layer to who they are, especially Alice. Her growing confidence as a leader, despite her flaws, is fun to experience. I feel that as the characters have grown, so has the universe they get to explore and I thought this allowed the crew to come together to form a better unit. As with many of Taylor's books, the characters have no problem speaking their minds often with colorful language. Without giving too much away, I don't think I would mind having an Alluara 4000.
