Jewel Cases: Five Classic Mysteries of Theft

Rate this book
Jewel Cases is a collection of mystery stories by such authors as Arthur Morrison and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. These five classic stories of varying styles all share a similar jewel theft. Elegant toys. Sparkling jewels. Baubles of the idle rich. Each story presents a case of stolen valuables and pits the wits of a clever jewel thief against those of a cunning, skillful detective who is always trying to stay one step ahead of the criminal. This JourneyForth classic is a light abridgement of the original stories.

Good, classic mystery stories. I followed four of the five stories pretty well. One author was Arthur Conan Doyle. I was glad that each story was fairly short, however - and was reminded that this was not my favorite genre. This would be a really good read, however, for someone who likes mystery and clean crime stories.
