This book was a short read, with spice.
The characters are intriguing and I’m looking forward to learning more about them, however, there were a few spelling mistakes.
Heavy heavy importance on the trigger warnings, this book does not pull its punches, and I had to step away from it a couple of times and do some self care before continuing to read. Sometimes the jump between the FMC’s trauma and what was happening in the book was very jarring, like a real panic attack, there’s minimal comfort and coping mechanisms for the main FMC.
Athena girlie needs therapy ♥️.
It isn’t a book to read if you aren’t in a good headspace or are having a day where you get triggered easily.
I highly recommend having a box of tissues nearby and maybe some comfort snacks and a warm drink. You probably should not read this while you’re ovulating because I did cry and it would have been MUCH worse had I been on my period.
But, trigger warnings aside, I did enjoy the book. The spice was breath taking, there’s AMAB nonbinary representation, haunting backstories, touch her and 💀 trope, VAMPIRES.
This is the book for all the people who wanted Klaus to unalive Damon after what he did to Caroline, and for the Twilight vampires to be less Mormon.
I am VERY curious to find out more about who Archer is, and if Athena’s grandma is going to show up again, but I do think I need a palate cleanser cause those trigger warnings are no joke y’all, seriously.
Take care of yourselves and read with caution.
