In Manchester, New Hampshire, lawyer Dutch Francis is known for defending people accused of DWIs, not murder. But as a favor to a friend, he decides to take the case of a troubled young man accused of killing the local high school football star.Dutch is up for the challenge. The more he investigates, the more he is convinced of his client's innocence--and the more he gets played.
Decent book. A crime/ court case story that reminded me of some of the TV shows that are out now- lots of twists and turns. The ending left me sad but it was a good story
Excellent read. It gets down into the real methods behind preparing for the trial and gives you some insight into how the clues fit together to get to a conclusion. I found all the preparation very be interesting and informative as part of the case information. I did believe I had the end figured out and as it turned out, I did have the correct ending but the way the book got to that conclusion was different than the way I had figured out.
