Keepsake Verses

Rate this book
Truth and pleasure are united in these poems because of those memories which stand out in my life. They are velvet and homespun, cloudwalking and earthwalking. I could not still the little rhymes that kept popping in my head; I decided to put them down on paper. There is whimsey too; it kept creeping in so I let it stay because what is life without a little nonsense? Granted, they are not great lines but, if as has been said, 'poetry is a holiday of the mind' - then I've had a celebration. Take them; they are yours - a keepsake. Alice Mann
