Criticism: I rated this book 10 + because is very easy to read. It also has some pictures of Oprah, so it’s kind of targeted towards younger aged people. It definitely was not the best book I’ve ever read because it didn’t have anything to do with Adam Lambert, Clay Aiken, Lady Gaga, or Justin Bieber, my favorite celebrities. But since Oprah is one of my favorite talk show hosts, I decided to read this book. It’s pretty good. It talks about Oprah’s life as a child and how she was very popular. It also talked about how she was elected president of the school government. So if you want to know some facts about Oprah, but you don’t wan to read a huge 300-page book, then you could dread this because it’s pretty short. It tells you about the TV. Show she used to host, and how it was once a half-hour, then it was extended to an hour. So, this book gives you a lot of really important facts about Oprah. If you are a fan of hers, then you might want to read this so you could learn stuff about her. I don’t really know if I would ever read this book more than once but I think it deserves to be read at least once. Overall, it was alright.
I worked at Harpo on the series "The Women of Brewster's Place" & found Ms. Winfrey to be one of the most generous people I've ever met. Loved reading the bio, much of it rang true to my own experience with her during shooting.
i have not yet read it but i have a feeling that it is off the hook, anything that has got oprah winfrey on it is on my good side.i am loving it already.i just hope that those who have the guts to write unauthorised biographies could learn a bit of appreciation........
