The sight of her happily mated brothers has Vera biting her nails in frustration. When the opportunity arises for her to get away from it all she takes it—with one catch—Jackson Marsh. Jackson Marsh has been a pain in her butt from the moment she laid eyes on him. And now to repair his broken trust with her brother Rome, Jackson has agreed to protect Vera as she goes into enemy territory to negotiate with the vampires.
However the change of scenery doesn’t do anything to help Vera’s mood for there was one thing she didn’t think about when she came up with her brilliant plan—seeing her ex vampire lover. Now with her ex vying for her affections again and Jackson sending her body and heart through a loop, Vera must decide what to do with her heart, which has never fully healed itself from the past. In the midst of all the chaos, a vampire clan is threatening to take Kategan land. Together Vera and Jackson must fight to save Kategan land while trying to save each other from falling in love.

Better than book 2. I am actually a fan of T.A. Grey. And enjoy her storytelling. If you like paranormal & eroticism you will enjoy this book as long as you Don't have high expectations. There are problems that take away from each book.
Holy crap! Did this make my toes curl! WOOT WOOT! GO JACKS! So far, my favorite of the series. Vera and Jacks are awesome together! The heat is intense! Sparks fly in all directions! I swear, some hit me in the head. LOL Seriously tho, this is a great serious. If you want to read a great story with some bow chicka wow wow mixed in. Go get this book....this series!! It will not disappoint!
It's really rare for me to find a series that I can continue this far with, and I'm glad to say that this is one of them. After reading Dark Awakening I had thought I had found my new favorite book, but I'm wrong again. This is totally my new favorite, for now at least.
Wicked Desires really stole my heart and made me realize why I love T.A. Grey's writing. Grey never fails to create relatable characters that feel so real even when they aren't.
In The Mating Cycle I first met Vera. She was the spunky, outspoken, sister of Vane, and I really didn't care for her too much to be honest. However, my opinion of her has now changed completely. Upon reading you really get to know her. She's controlling and guarded, but that's only because that she had been hurt.
When I found out that Vera's love interest was Jackson Marsh I have to say I was a little surprised. I mean there weren't any other original characters to choose from, but I was still surprised. In a good way though. Jackson is different being that he is human and not a werewolf, however he and Vera share common issues. Which is why I think that they are perfect for each other.
Another thing I really liked was the newly introduced supernatural creatures. There are vampires now! Not to mention the fact that Vera's previous lover was a vampire. I love the integration of new types of characters.
All in all I can say Im very happy with this book. I feel like with each book they get more and more immersive. Yeah there were a few typos, but I think those are going to be fixed across all books. T.A. Grey seems to have been revamping all of her books lately. I definitely plan on continuing this series, because I'm emotionally invested in it at this point.
Oh my! Vera is the baby sister to the Kategan alphas and so over watching them drool over their new mates when she doesn’t even have a boyfriend to speak of. In walks the bane of her existence, her brothers good friend Jackson. Dripping with muscles and attitude. It’s time to renew the treaty with the local vamps. Vera will be representing the Kategans due to all of her brothers being otherwise involved. The pack alpha, and oldest brother, Vane assigned Jackson to be her personal bodyguard, and that’s when the excitement begins. I enjoyed this book as much as the first book. Very hard to put down.
Em.. I did really like Jackson and I liked Vera too. But there wasn't much action or suspence in this. It's good how Jacks breaks down her high walls and makes her give up her very restrained control. He is a sexy Alpha, even if he is human. But like most of this author's stories, the writing has problems with spelling mistakes and wrong wording, grammatical errors etc. There is a bit of heat and some action and this is mostly an easy read with appealing characters but it's no going to blow you away.
I have read book one to three and 3 quarter's of the book is sex which I think was overrated. I read the books for the story, which I think could have been way way way better. Hence how quickly I finished the book. I will finish the series just because I am a bit O.C.D. when reading and not because the books are good.
I am a bit confused as to what the kategan's and their pack is suppose to be because I keep reading that they are lykaen and I read mention of pack and the female going through her breeding cycle. Yet not once in all three books have I read anyone making the transformation to a werewolf or any animal. I read also of his or her animal taking over or pushing for control but each time they still remained in their human form. So what are they? Even when Rome went to rescue Allison he drove and they fought with weapons. So a clarification is needed as so what they are.
I liked the vampire aspect as they live amongst us as well as they can walk in sunlight and I enjoyed the mention of twilight and the reference to how they don't glitter like Edward Cullen. What I was not so accepting about was how quickly the transformation of turning a human into a vampire was done within minutes if not seconds.
Vera Kategan is getting this funny feeling in her stomach when she see's her brothers with their mates and needs a break. She decides that she needs to go and visit the vampires to go over some things. Her brother's decide that if she goes her brother's friend Jackson Marsh will go with her to be her guardian. She has mixed feelings about this but she agrees.
Jackson is trying to make up for letting his best friend down. He let Rome's mate get kidnapped while he was with another woman. He didn't know that it was a sit up but he will do what he can to get back to being friends with Rome again. He has some feelings for Vera but he knows that he isn't the right man for her. That starts changing when he sees Vera's ex.
I have really enjoyed reading this series and they just keep getting better and better. I am always trying to figure out what will happen in the next book and how the author can bring out the best in her characters. I can't wait to read the fourth book in this series.
Wicked Surrender continues with Vera Kategan the sister of the Kategan bothers. Jackson Marsh (Jacks) has been Vera's thorn since she first laid eyes on him. She looks forward in going to the treaty negotiations to represent the Kategan's. Along with a possible distraction in getting far away from Jacks and seeing see her ex lover which is a vampire. Until her bothers assign Jacks to be her guardian at the negotiations to protect her during her time away.
Now Vera's ex vying for her affections again and Jackson sending her body and heart through a loop, she must decide in protecting her heart which has not fully healed itself from the past. In addition a vampire clan is threatening to take Kategan land. Together Vera and Jackson must fight to save Kategan land while trying to protecting themselves their heart breaking from each other.
Better. I don't know if I'm getting used to her writing or if the stories are getting better. I like Jacks and Vera although the "I can't possibly believe in love" stuff that keeps popping up in these books is a bit much. Not that I want everything to be easy, easy is boring. This still has some editing/proofreading issues just as the others in the series have had. I hope she finds someone to proofread her newer books because I think her story telling is getting better. I stink at proofreading/typing/grammar and even I am a bit distracted by the errors. Overall I was happy with this story and will read the next.
Wow! I believe this series is getting better and better with each book. I loved Vera and Jackson's story. I knew there was something special about this 'human'. These two were perfect together. I was happy to see Vera find love and overcome the loneliness and longing she'd been battling. I'm anxious to start on Darien's story. His sadness really bothers me. Anxious to begin Eternal Temptation (#4 in the series)!
Where to start? Definitely not what I expected. Vera seemed so desperate. Hated that. I loved Jacks and Dmetri. Great taste in men. She was just so desperate. I expected the tough Vera. Of course I didn't expect her to totally dominate Jacks, thought they would be equals. I love that a war is coming. At least I hope so. I still like the series and am looking forward to the next book. I just hope there's more excitement.
Enjoyed this story. Lots of surprises in the plot kept me turning pages. Jackson is the best developed character, at least so far, in the series. Loved the humourous exchanges between Vera and Jacks. The lack of proof reading remains a significant issue, but I quite liked this story, so I decided to ignore the poor editing and rated it 3 stars.
Wicked Surrender is the third in the Kategan series and I have to say it was ok even decent... not sure that I understood the whole reason behind the plot, some background information would of been helpful and what was going on with the vampires. Then with Jacks, what the consequence are between him and Vera and what future they will have.
SO AMAZING, SO STEAMY, SO HOT, SO LOVELY, LOVED IT! Especially the end when Jackson said, "“Yeah, that’s it baby. Feel my cock owning you. I’m going to do this every single day for the rest of your life. You belong to me now.” He pounded into her quivering pussy muscles again and again, and amazingly..." I need new panties ;A;

decent....not sure that I understood the whole reason behind the plot, so this omes not in my top anything. wish I knew more of the story. like the history of the vampires at least it would make more since to me.
Yes this series is totally crazy. I don't know what it is but its flowing and I like how it's connecting. Well don't get me started on the S.E.X yep that alone is H.O.T. Damn Jackson and Vera steams up Book 3.
