Maybe I’m not used to autobiography kinds of books, but it wasn’t quite the book that I couldn’t put down. I love Jeremy Kyle and his show, but his book is no where near as exciting. The only reason I kept reading it was because I wanted to read my next book - I didn’t want to not complete a book. There were bits in the book that I enjoyed, for example when he spoke about people from his show, but throughout I felt like bits were repeated and it got a little boring. I would rate this 2 stars but i feel like I like Jeremy Kyle too much to do this.

It was worth reading to see another side of Jeremy Kyle. Although he likes to be seen as an ordinary 'man of the people' with 'working-class values of honesty, hard work and diligence', the reality is rather different.

The Kyle family were solidly middle-class with royal connections.

I still love his show but not sure I would read this book again!! He's not as down to earth and real as I thought!!

Jeremy Kyle should be our PM. He is being honest in this book. Very honest about the state of the UK. Alot of people will belive this is all being exaggerated but I'm betting most of those people will be on middle to high incomes and live in middle class areas. For the poor saps that actually have to live along side these wasters, most of the things described are common place. unfortunately the kind of people that would benefit from reading this book properly are unsure of what a book is so most of his advice will be wasted. I think alot of people will be disappointed with this book as they would have been expecting more of an autobiography and less of a lecture around the wrongs you see everyday. He does give some accounts of his life but not much and I would have liked to know what really was behind the 'Jeremy Kyle preyed on me when I was only 16' headlines. He seems to focus more on how he was feeling when that hit the press then if there was any truth behind it. Overall I enjoyed this book because I could do alot of 'yes! He is so right!' in my head but he did repeat himself at times and didn't give much away about himself.

I love Jeremy Kyle and believe his methods do work, the book was hard to read at times as it got very political, however, the gleans of information about Jeremy were well worth continuing reading the whole book and I am about to start his 2nd one!

His stance and take on Great Britain is honest and truthful and whilst I don't think he will make the changes he would like, it was inspiring to read what could be achieved if everyone put their head above the parapet like he has.

I really do think Jeremy kyle should run for PM, I would definitely vote for him as the values and principles he holds dear are close to my heart too.

If you buy this expecting it to be about Jeremy Kyle then don't bother but if, like me, you wanted to hear his story and his thoughts and feelings on the way this country is heading then definitely buy this book!

The all-important book review! What a pile of shit! If I had known when I was buying this, that I wasn't buying an Autobiography, but a self-help book of tripe, I wouldn't have spent my money on it! All he does is preach on about what's wrong with the country, and what we should do in his eyes to make it right. It's like The Bible, as written by Jeremy Kyle. I thought I was buying an Autobiography. Boy was I wrong. The only interesting things I found out was that he grew up down the road from me in Coley, Reading, and he stole sweets from Woolworths! I read about 2 Chapters, and didn't wanna read anymore after that. It was so bloody boring! It's like all the crap he says on his shows all roled into one boring book. Yawn fest! Don't waste your money folks! It really aint worth it!!!

I cannot figure out why so many people have given this book bad reviews. Most seem to hate it simply because they thought they were picking up an autobiography, but how is that a slight on the book? It's your own fault for not paying attention to what you're reading. I, personally, found this book very well-informed and thoroughly researched. Jeremy had done his research on all the topics he covered, from teen pregnancy to drug addiction. He made me laugh when talking about his once-owned greyhound, and he made me get teary-eyed when he spoke of the evils he has witnessed. It's a bit of a slower read since it's a very British style of writing and it's also more essay style than long plot. But I enjoyed it and that's all that matters.
