Sherice Solomon, the serial killer known as Ice, is moving west.

Santa Maria, California police Detective Darcie Devonshire is sure Ice has made it to the central coast when a body turns up in a dumpster with the killer’s distinctive kill-slice across his throat.

With the discovery of the body, also comes the shock of Morgan Garrett, Darcie’s ex CIA partner and lover, standing beside the dead man.

Morgan stumbles upon the body while in a drunken stupor and has no memory of how he ended up in the alley. He is held briefly by the Santa Maria police and released. A decision to sober up takes him to Pacific Winds, a clinic for substance abusers.

At Pacific Winds, Sherice Solomon, has taken a position as a clinical psychologist. With her first encounter with Morgan, she decides he will join her on her hunts. A decision, Arahni, the soul in the shafra that speaks and guides Sherice, refuses to accept.

When Darcie and Morgan discover each other again old feelings ignite. This Sherice will not tolerate, there can be only one answer. Darcie must die.

Seldom are serial killers female. In this story, ICE is a female serial killer. I think I would have enjoyed it more if there wasn't the tired old "pretty woman gets men to do anything" concept in the story. It would have been nice if Sherice was more cunning and less stiletto heels. I found it a little surprising the police (Darcy) was so sure ICE was a man. Guess they didn't have police profiler. Sherice was certainly certifiably nuts and deadly. I felt the ending was a little disappointing and hoped the good vs evil would have been more of a battle. All in all, I thought it was a good book. I kept reading just to see how long it took for them to know who ICE really was. A shame they didn't manage it on their own.

It is well written with depth and details,The characters are engaging and easy to follow.This story in written in first person,from each of the main characters view. While, it has gory thoughts,it actually does not have gory scenes described in details. It is a fast paced,heart thumping,action packed story of a serial killer,who is I think a psychopath. With a psychopath serial killer on the loose,time is running out for Detective Darcie.Sherice,the serial killer known as ICE,decides she has found her perfect mate,Morgan,Darcie's ex-partner and lover.She soon learns that Darcie and Morgan have unfinished business.Sherice,who is guided by Arahni,the soul in the shafra that speaks to and guides her on her hunts,Arahni,doesn't want Morgan.But Sherice refuses to listen,and feels Morgan has betrayed her with Darcie.Sherice decides Darcie must die.She believes with Darcie's death that Morgan will come on the hunt with her.If you enjoy a great crime fiction full of death,sexual intent,than "ICE" is the story for you.While it does not have the actual details of the slut throats and such you get the picture clearly in the crime scenes.This book was received for the purpose of review from the author and details can be found at Books We Love Publishing Partners and My Book Addiction and More.

Ice explores the evil mind of serial killer, Sherice Solomon, as she plans her murders. Will her next victim be exCIA agent, Morgan Garrett, or his old girl friend and partner, Detective Darcie Devonshire. Intersting characters, and a tinge of gore and sex mixed with a bit of romance kept me reading.
