An incredibly riveting memoir of the first journalist in Vietnam to go into Viet Cong territory. The book takes you through the intimate moments of his life as a journalist on the front line. The book also covers his time in India. It is beautifully written and a must read.

Loved it.

Evocative memoir of a reporter's experiences in Southeast Asia in the early and mid 1970s. Includes riveting accounts if the author's brave forays into Vietcong territory and the collapse of Cambodia to the Khmer Rouge. Insights into the insecurity of the brave.
