Myra Nour grew up reading s/f, fantasy, and romance, so she was really thrilled when these elements were combined in Futuristic Romances. She enjoys writing within all these elements, whether the hero is a handsome man from another planet, or a tiny fairy from another dimension. Myra’s background is in counseling, and she likes using her knowledge to create believable characters. She also enjoys lively dialogue and, of course, using her imagination to create other worlds with lots of action/adventure, as well as romance. She uses her handsome husband as inspiration for her heroes - he is a body builder, a soldier, and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Magically Captivating!

What an awesome magical fantasy come true that captivated me with the down to earth smooth tone writing and its humorous Alien take on courting and bedding a woman after 10 dates. The story was sweet from the very beginning and had me glued to the pages and smiling from ear to ear.

With Amber being a normal American girl with standards of dating a guy for at least 10 days and then decides if she wants to take the next step to a sexual level she never in her wildest dreams would have ever thought her true mate would ever show up or even compare to her one time lover who was killed in the war.

After several attempts of set up dates from her friends it had become a joke that she should put an ad out for her dream man “Wanted: Handsome Alien Abductor” instead of relying on dates from her friends. When Amber’s best friend gives her a little magical secret on how to find her true mate, she hesitates but is curious and finds herself on a magical journey as she becomes the captive of her handsome alien.

Ryja, the sexy handsome alien is irresistible with the tight and muscle rippled body sure to make any woman’s panties melt, has only one agenda on his mind and that is finding a mate that loves to travel through time, love history, and has a great sexual appetite. With the guidance from his Xartor III (computer magical mind(worm)) he finds himself with the beautiful Amber as he ravages her body at the very beginning in a bondage situation that is sure to have the reader crossing their legs and curling their toes.

Amber finally realizing that her sexual fantasy wasn’t just a dream and she really is on a spaceship with a handsome Alien. Coming to her senses, she realizes she must hold up to her standards and not let that crazy one night stand go to her head and lose all control of herself so she tells Ryja they cannot have sex and that if he really wanted her he had to court her for at least 10 days.

Courting is something Ryja had never had to do but being high tech savvy he finally agrees to meet her standards and whisks her away on an imaginative date every night for the next 9 dates. Between the time travels to the dinosaur age to the humorous Viking age, the story had me so captivated and entrance from the alien experiences I just craved more in the ending.

The connection between the characters was a slow build up to a great climax at the ending. Each fun date brought them closer as one as they learned more about each other and fell in love. The world building of the universe and the technology of the spaceship and alien worlds was very creative. After learning all about this world it makes me want a handsome alien to take me for a ride along with the adventurous time traveling too.

Fun & Enjoyable Read!

Every Star Trek fan has wanted Scotty to "beam them up".

But Amber doesn't want an engineer, she wants an alpha male with the body of a Viking hero and the same interest in history that she has. In fact, when Amber puts her wish list together in Myra Nour's Wanted: Handsome Alien Abductor, the title pretty much sums up her perfect man.

Sounds like an impossible dream, and that's just what Amber figures it is, a dream. Especially when her best friend Sarah tells her that she found her husband by praying to some Goddess in the middle-of-nowhere South America.

But what does Amber have to lose? South America is a nice place to vacation. Isn't it?

So when she visits Sarah's Goddess, and makes her offering, she expects nothing. Still, she dreams up her ideal man. That alpha male explorer, space traveler, historian, and oh yeah, alien.

Then she has the best erotic dream she's ever had, and the star of the show is her perfect man. And is he ever perfect! In every possible way.

Then she wakes up. On his space ship. And discovers that her fantastic erotic dream--really happened.

Ryja travels the galaxy, and aboard his ship he has a time machine. He's come to Earth to study its history. He couldn't be a more ideal man for Amber, except for one major problem. His mission will only last for just a few short months, and then he'll be travelling on. Amber isn't looking for a fling, she's playing for keeps.

Can this intergalactic love match find happiness among the stars?

Escape Rating B-: This isn't so much science fiction romance as it is wish-fulfillment romance. Considered in that light, it is a blast of a good time. Amber dreams up a perfect man, and gets one perfect for her, with all the coolest toys imaginable.

I liked how the author dealt with the science fiction geek-speak, by not doing it. Ryja was not an engineer, so he didn't pretend. Most of us don't know how a TV works, we just click the remote. Most people wouldn't know the ins and outs of their technology, they'd just use it. This kept from drowning the reader in polysyllabic pseudoscientific mumbo-jumbo and went straight to the "good stuff".

And it was very good stuff.

Amber is looking for her perfect man. Only thing is, he's not out there. She had a perfectly good guy once upon a time but the fates were against her on that one. Desperate, and quite frankly not thinking it is real, Amber takes Sarah's offer to go on a journey to visit someone who can bring her the man of her dreams. When nothing happens, they head back to the hotel where Amber decides to take a quick nap. When she awakens, that's when the real fun happens.

Full of adventure, love, and sex appeal, Nour hit the nail on the head with this one. The story brings you into a world of mysticism that makes for a great read. Amber finds herself caught in another world completely when she finds herself in the bedroom of a viking when reall,y he is an alien. There aren't many stories out there with this type of story so it is refreshing to be able to read one. To be able to have some of the stuff from this book would be beyond awesome. I mean, what girl wouldn't want a machine that make whatever article of clothing you want the way you want it?????

And when I say adventure, it's not fight for your life on a pirate ship but for history buffs out there like me, we got to "jump" back in time to experience some of the Earth's past. It was a great little addition to the story. :)

Wanted: Handsome Alien Abductor is an enjoyable read. The sex scenes are hot when they happen, and development of the relationship with all the cultural differences is interesting. I liked the android Mica as well, and thought he was a nice touch to the story. I think the thing that was hard for me with this story and brought the rating down a bit was its predictability. I was able to guess the outcome early on without much trouble, and the whole ten dates thing I think was part of the problem. Despite this it is an enjoyable story and if you enjoy aliens hooking up with Earth women, then you should definitely check this one out!

I downloaded this book to read for book club,I found it was a easy read, with a different twist to
the usual hero.

I had previously finished a book which really connected emotionly,so it may have influence how I felt
slightly bored.

Maybe I will read again in the future and feel differently .

A women wishes for the ideal man who is an alien historian who looks like a viking!

This was such a let down, actually quite boring in places. The book is sold as a sexy romp with an alien abductor, the abduction is glossed over, the sex is few and far between and lacking when you get there. Overall this was a romantic story not an erotic one and just not what I expected, so I didn't find it as enjoyable.

Swayed by a nice cover and a cute title. Waste of time and money!

Really bad editing (if any) and frankly boring.

I usually love the alien plot but not this time. This book was slow and not engaging. Nothing orginal or compelling here. Too bad! These Nour is usually a fun read.
