interesting for the historical perspective, but disappointingly narrow and necessarily out dated. it's not really a history of the company, but rather a history of the development of resistivity tools by the company and a few other major developments mentioned nearly as asides. the timeline jumps back and forth too much, names arrive in cascades and very few of the people get much detail at all.
so i guess it's the right choice if you want to learn how connie and marce developed the field of electrical measurement for oil exploration. i wanted something other than that.
