Fast paced thriller/suspense , a page turning all night read.
Pulp trash about a foul-mouthed but beautiful female cop and her Gucci partner trying to arrest a murderous psycho sexy nurse. Totally believable. No, really. I picked up this book in Kabul out of a donation pile sent to the troops by the American people because I needed something to read in the latrine. Which turned out to be the perfect setting. It's a good thing 80% of the Taliban are illiterate because if this book fell into their hands it would confirm every negative stereotype about America. I will admit that I read all of it though. It's going back in the pile today.
I enjoyed this book but found it a bit hard to follow as the chapters changed to different characters and their perspectives, it wasn't clear whose voice or story we were hearing and she did this for 6-8 characters. It bothers me to read a few paragraphs or even a few pages until I figure out who's perspective the story is being told from.
I ran across this one by accident and thoroughly enjoyed it. A great, fun and irreverent character. I'm looking forward to reading Jane Holleman's other books.
