Quick Read on Leadership

This is a good little book on Leadership. I’m biased by the approach the author takes - pushing for more autonomy and a mentoring approach. The book has some practical advice and is a solid guide for the aspiring leader. Plenty of quotes and quotable moments.

Short read

Thus book was a shirt read, less then an hour. But while being short, it contained some much good information. I vary much enjoyed the chapter on leadership styles and how to avoid the micromanagement trap. I wouldn't have guessed n that there was so many different styles of leaders and that a good leader needs to use them all.

An outstanding book that can change the career of almost anyone by simply helping them understand what upper management is thinking. Straight foreword, straight talk approach. I wish I would have known this kind of information 20 years ago, but then again thats what experience is for. This book helps the new and or aspiring manager learn from the mistakes and successes of others who have created great organizations.

Great tone, conversational or mentor like message delivery that explains how to and why you should do what is being discussed in each chapter.
