This was the best of these very short stories but lacked any true coherence. It’s like the author is making changes for thd publisher and then sending them out as complete. The story is just dangling with no real linkage amongst the stories. Only thd fact that isn’t about one family let’s you know they belong together. If the author had waited until she had the entire story together then submitted as a ful book this could have been really great and I would have gone with 5 stars instead of 3s and 4s.

Winter Demon is the 5th book in the series by Krysten Harlow. This story opens with the siblings Christmas shopping. Dad, James, seems a little bit off and Max has seen the Disney Princess from Hell….just a typical day for the demon hunters. I think the characters are well written and the siblings inner act like normal families. The family is hunting demons in the Qlippoth. I think this novella has lots of action. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.

Winter Demon continues with more interesting characters and the Disney Princess from Hell and her infatuation with Max and Priya. The family is hunting ice demons who seem to follow Max to deliver rune messages. What will the final message be? We will have to wait for the next installment to see if that will give us answers to all the lose ends.

This was the most exciting entry in the Damiano series yet! It was also the most cohesive story. It tied together everything from the beginning of the series until now. I love the direction this series is going and need the next book NOW!

I love this series and I love Max’s adventures and this latest one is a doozy. An action packed read with hunting demons and Christmas shopping for this family of demon hunters in this exciting and thrilling read. There seems to be a message being sent and it’s enthralling to see what is coming! Bring on the next book please.
