You never know what could be right in front of you that you’ve overlooked. Someone special that you’ve known since childhood. We all have that special friend, but what if you started seeing that friend in a different light?
These books are good but not great to me. The female characters are shy and seem to be a little needy in the relationship department. Although the characters are smart and independent, they are shy and timid around the men they have known their whole lives. I just feel like the women need to be stronger. Might be a good read for a young girl going through that awkward stage of not being sure of herself. The characters are grown but to me, they act like they are in middle school.
This book delves further into the lives of the sisters, Marty and Darla. Marty, the quieter sister, has the chance to reconnect with her old friend Wyatt, who has relocated to Whale Harbor after his divorce. The story focuses on the differences between Marty and Wyatt. An adventurous man, Wyatt is captivated by Marty, a discreet, sweet woman. For the burgeoning relationship to succeed, each person must be willing to change a little. The development of this story line is very endearing. Love is an adventure.
Story of love left for years to simmer before maturity brings the lovers together. She is an interior designer with a schedule she keeps every day. He is a free spirit that races and repairs quads. They have known each other since childhood hood and are good friends but she’s had a crush for years. He opens a shop selling and repairing windows quads and invites her to a race.
Fiona Baker will keep you reading to the last word.
Life happens to bring romance and love sometimes when you least expect it. Two sisters who are totally different find their forever mates from past crushes they had in school. The relationships build over time. Will they get married time will tell.
Sappy, boring, and full of inconsistencies. So much effort into convincing us Marty is cautious and afraid of adventure that descriptions of her life give long passages to skip ahead, especially concerning the comings and goings of the cats! Hope the next book gets back some of the charm of the first one
I absolutely love this series! It was so good to follow the progression of Darla and Rick, and to see the new budding relationship of Marty and Wyatt. Definitely feels like catching up with friends over coffee...

I enjoyed reading as Wyatt and Marty learned about each other, made compromises, learned to communicate, and grew to love each other. It was great to catch up with Darla and Rick. I like how the characters become more real for me in each new book of the series.
I truly enjoyed watching Marty come out of her protective bubble. Watching Wyatt mature and grow. It was a wonderful story that kept me reading. I didn’t want the story to end. It was wonderful seeing our old friends from other books. Sweet lovely love story!
There's too much stomach rumbling, and there are too many adverbs. There are other ways to describe actions that wouldn't sound so overused and tiresome. I don't like sounding negative, but these things just jump off the page at me.
A really cute and romantic beach read for any season of the year! The characters are fun loving and real to life! Looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
Im an old fashioned girl and i just dont favor characters "moving" in together. I like when people keep a relationship, none of my business! I do not want to know about their personal desires.
This was such a joyous read! Just what I needed to settle myself. This series has been great. I really enjoy this family, especially these two sisters. I am going to check out the next in the series. Why stop at Book 2?
Now the sisters are happy, enjoyed reading more about them. Learning more about other people in the town and how they relate. Looking forward to more happy stories.
Can’t help but point out how many times the sunset at the beach is noted but Rhode Island is on the east coast and sees sunrises, not sunsets. The first book too
