Minsky and his co-writer give a thorough look at the burlesque business in the 20s and 30s, before reformers shut them down - it's very readable, with some great anecdotes, and he does a nice job balancing stories of his family, the performers, the business of running the theaters, and the increasing pressure of the silly, dangerous guardians of public morality. It's fun, and interesting, and better than it needed to be.
