A cute story with simple text for beginner readers, but especially fun for me because we just fostered a kitten just like Trouble! Every page was like revisiting my favorite moments as he grew up.

This is a nice book that I would recommend to use as a guided reading book for kindergarteners and first graders. This book offers large illustrations of a very lovable character that I think students would really enjoy. I think it would give the teacher a lot of opportunities to ask inferencing comprehension questions such as, "Why do you think this kitten's name is Trouble?" "Do you think that the kitten means to get into trouble?" This is one book of a series that would also allow students to continue to read these books and create a mini library for them in your room.

Better story and character than in your typical easy-reader. Our copy included two stories in one (Meet Trouble and Double Trouble).
