This book has been enlightening for me. Although I am not from the USA, I teach English as a Second Language and our English block is structured in a very different way, I could not stop highlighting ideas and taking notes.
It is an easy read, a book written by a teacher and for teachers. The author understands the struggles of teaching and has solid ideas to implement the strategies.

Bridget Spackman combines her knowledge as a teacher, podcaster, and entrepreneur to deliver a relatable and enjoyable read full of tips and tricks to make your literacy block more authentic for students and more fun to teach. After sharing her tips, I love how Bridget reminds readers that we all must adapt strategies to our own teaching style, students, state standards, school requirements, etc. She is very realistic with how she outlines her ideas, especially when she explains how she has implemented them in her classroom and how one could adapt the ideas to other classrooms. Bridget's book is very useful for both new and veteran teachers!
