a how-to about integrating making art into one’s spiritual practice, in the same vein as Natalie Goldberg, but for visual artists. I liked the basic outline of what she was proposing—a daily journal for visual art, don’t worry about whether it’s good, just keep making art—but her meditations and guided exercises drove me crazy. They didn’t click with how I work. Which is fine. I read them. I went off on my own to figure out what works for me.
