A single mom struggles to find the strength to forgive, when she can never forget. A heart-warming story about redemption, family, and second chances. Angelina fled from Martha’s Vineyard as a teen and tried to leave her painful past behind. But when she comes back to help her mother, she’s forced to deal with her ex, the father of her daughter, who after all these years, suddenly wants to be in Penny’s life. The only thing worse than her ex is his family. His mother had ruined Angelina's life as a teen, and now she’s out to do it again. When a handsome doctor takes an interest in Angelina's art, and in her, she thinks she may have finally found some happiness. But, when she notices that her ex is now walking a different path, her feelings become conflicted.
Ellen lives in a small town in New England, between the Atlantic Ocean and the White Mountains. She lives with her husband, two sons, and one very spoiled puppy princess.
Ellen writes in the early morning hours before her family wakes up. When she's not writing, you can find her spending time with her family, gardening with her puppy and chickens, or headed to the beach. She loves summer and flip-flops, running on a dirt country road, and a sweet love song.
All of her stories are clean romances where families are close, neighbors are nosy, and the couples are destined for each other.

I was so excited to return to Half Moon Harbor to read this final book in the series. There was something about the DeLuca family, Martha's Vineyard, Angelina's art, and the ocean that spoke to my heart and pulled me into the story. This was a beautiful story of family, romance, and love.
I really liked Angelina and her strength. It really stood out with everything she had been through and especially what Barbara Morse put her through sixteen years ago and still put her through today. I liked how her family was there to support her through everything. I was also glad that she would not play a victim and she could open her heart to what she knew all along. It was a fun, romantic story. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I had very high expectations of "Half Moon Harbor" by Ellen Joy and once again - the incredible writing, heart, and soul this author books into each book...it did not disappoint. The Deluca family has been a refreshing addition to the Cliffside Point cast of characters with the previous book setting the stage for Angelina and Sebastian's story and the many layers of heartbreak they have each endured throughout the years. Ellen did a fantastic job continuing their story and providing the backstory in a way that tugs at your heartstrings. It was a story of healing and finding the strength to find the happiness you deserve regardless of the obstacles in your way. This series is going on my favorites shelf in my book collection and is one that I know I will read again and again when I need a little chicken soup for the soul! I highly recommend adding it to your collection as well. Happy Reading...enjoy!
I love Ellen Joy's books. They are beautifully written with such authentic characters. I started the book in the evening, read past 50%, at 01.00 I forced myself to switch the light off. Couldn't wait to start reading the next morning. This book has all the "feels". Sebastion and Angelina are such a great couple, and their story is precious. They started dating when they were very young. Sebastion's parents, especially his mother, are not nice people. They didn't want their son to be with Angelina as she didn't match what they wanted for their son. Thankfully the day came when he stood up against his parents, and for the woman he loves. A clean romance and a lovely HEA. I don't want to say anymore as it would spoil the book for the reader. I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
I started the series and liked the setting & characters. All have problems and all in need of friendship. My issue is with the editing. There are several glaring (to me) mistakes. How is it when someone has pursed their lips can she keep calling it pierced (which means to put a hole through) ? And no one can ‘pawn’ over a map but they can pore over one. Several times across the books the characters names are used in the wrong place. I feel that these authors with romance series use a format and just plug in the new characters in each book. Women lifting other women up is always a good way to write
When it came down to this story I wasn't sure what would happen. Angelina has many issues and Sebastian was not one of my favorite characters. This one has to be have all the moving parts fall into place. With the wicked witch of Martha's vineyard played by Sebastian 's mother an ever present problem the chances of this having a positive outcome was small. I have to read slower because this wonderful series is almost to an end. Love summer reading, one book a day. Enjoy!
Ellen writes wonderful books, and this is another winner. I feel like I know these characters and they feel like family. Each book shares a glimpse into the lives of these characters, and I can't say enough good things about the storyline and the people whose lives we are lucky to experience. Keep writing Ellen. I can't wait for the next one.
I didn't love this book as much as the others but I did really like it. I think it was the main character's hard heartedness and anger that got to me. I really felt like Sebastian was getting a raw deal way too much - especially from his daughter. I realize she's a teenager and they are full of angst. I'm glad for the way things turned out.
This series has been about so many interesting people at Martha's Vineyard, not perfect people but people that have suffered loss, illness, harassment and so much more. This books are emotional and heartwarming, entertaining and very enjoyable.
A bit underwhelming. Not very exciting. The only part mildly intriguing was when the mother of Angelina’s ex served her papers. But the lawsuit was revoked so again not much drama there. That happened in chapter like 28 soooo. i was bored.

Another wonderful story by a awesome author who never fails to capture, explore and bring to life each character . Their trials and tribulations, finding themselves. I wish the series would continue, with Penny's life growing up. I was left wondering what became of Sebastian parents, especially his mother. Does she grew a heart , experience true happiness, like Sonya did? Does ann
