It’s been three years since I’ve last seen her She better have kept her promise or else. Jinx has been mine since I first noticed her. Being her stepbrother only adds to the factor. I’ve been waiting a long time to get her back, and I’m not letting anyone or anything come between us again. The only ones that can have her are Ashton and Maddox. She won’t get a say Nor do I care. I’ve waited, and I need to have a taste.
C.L. Easton took everything I love about dark romances and put it into Atticus. This is the first book in Ravenwood Academy series. Get ready for a wild crazy coaster ride.
I am so jealous of Jinx. I so want to be Atticus's Little Grim, Ashton's Little Swan, and Maddox's Baby. Jinx drives me nuts with the hot and cold attitude towards these men. Girl, I know you have the hots for them. The scene at swim practice said it all when she is drooling over Atticus's tattoo body and Ashton's sculpture body.
Each man brings something alive in Jinx. Atticus brings out the bad girl, Ashton brings out the soft side, and Maddox brings out the protectiveness in her.
Jinx will have her hands full with three possessive alpha males, the solo in the orchestra, and throw in a mystery stalker. She is going to have a crazy last year in the academy.
It was ok but I’m so tired of these women not knowing how to say the word no. Where’s the backbone? Jinx had the worst case of bbs (look it up) and it was hard to read. The only likeable guy in the book was her friend, none of her harem were remotely interesting. I wish she gets with her friend and leaves these guys.
I cannot wait to see what we have in store for book 2.
•Who choose college (dark academia setting) romance •Twin step brothers plus their best friend 😩 •Cinderella inspired •Stalker/Mystery •ends on such a good cliffhanger leaving you ready for book 2.
I love Atticus, Ashton, and Maddox so much and how they are alike yet so completely different (although I love the mystery vibe but also caring vibe Maddox gives off) Definitely a must read! 🖤🔥🫠
•I read this as an arc and I’m voluntarily leaving this review•
What i would do to live in CL Eastons head for a day she comes up with these hot asf men that are just everyone’s wet dreams 🤣
Of course she has done it again and completely rocked this book! Mystery, step siblings what more could a reader want! I love the connection they all have its a pull like a magnet she tries to stay away but eventually caves and its so hot they are wild rough and drool worthy 😏
DNF (did not finish). What made the book unfinishable in your opinion? I wanted to get into this world, but for some reason, the story just did not hook me. I felt like the plot was a little all over the place. I liked the gothic atmosphere and the fact that her characters were not stereotypical clichés. Like for example, the main character's best friend is a nerd who likes to throw down into a fight. Supposedly the main character owes Atticus a favor for getting her cello back. And his favor is for him to own her and take her virginity. I get that the main character doesn't like her step-brothers and his friend, but it's not entirely clear why she hates them so much. I mean she was the one dumb enough to make a promise with them but not brave enough to keep it. Also, it doesn't make sense for these boys to go from a community school to an elite school after they got kicked out for setting it on fire. There are just a lot of plot holes that don't entirely make sense and the scenes kind of jump from one to another. Add into the mix a stalker that shows up conveniently when the boys transfer schools for added drama. Overall, I kind of lost interest in the beginning part of the book. Because I didn't read it all the way through I'm going to give this an average rating.
AHHHH CL you've done it again!! I'm in love with fictional characters that I can't have.
Atticus follows our FMC Jinx along with her stepbrothers Atticus and Ashton and their best friend Maddox. I love the mystery surrounding these men and why they are so broken. Especially Maddox and Ashton. My heart hurts for them the more I read, because we get glimpse of their past and it's not pretty. I have a bad feeling that when it gets fully revealed its going to be heartbreaking. But also, Jinx is badass. She's strong, determined and doesn't back down. I love how much she's built a life for herself. She knew she wanted to escape and attend Ravenwood Acadamy to be the best of the best. When she's with her cello it's like the rest of the world fades away.
The bond between these 4 is going to be tough to break. Even though Jinx only lived with them for a year you can feel the chemistry between them and feel how determined the guys are to make Jinx theirs. Atticus doesn't like sharing, but he will share her with only Ashton and Maddox. I'm interested to see where this relationship will go though because it's not fully a RH yet but it's building up to it. Only time will tell.
An emo-goth girl, her twin stepbrothers and their best friend, her best friend, a couple of jock bulls and a stalker meet at her dad's academy... Spice it up with an evil stepmother and voila, you have the best recipe for a successful Dark Academy Why Choose series. I love Jinx and her best friend Spencer. He is the best. Atticus, Ashton, and Maddox are all very intense and will draw you in right away. The world building at Ravenwood Academy is very good. You get lost in the story. The mystery of the stalker keeps you on your toes. I am on the edge of my seat for the rest of the story.
Atticus is oh so delicious! Knows what he wants and that is Jinx!
The spice and intrigue in this book is the best! Each of the main characters have their issues but they are working through them and they will help one another in that journey.
Ends on a cliffhanger but its a good cliffhanger (is that a thing??? haha ) heightens the intrigue in my opinion.
There is a crow, intrigue, spice, delicious men, sassiness and banter. so so good!
This was just okay. I know it’s a series but I really feel like we didn’t get enough in book one. The book was called Atticus so I would have thought he would be a slightly higher focus than the other boys but I liked him the least and we never really got the like fall in love connection between them or why he wanted her so bad besides that she “owed him”. If I remember when it comes out I’ll probably read Ashton’s book but I’m not on the edge of my seat for it

I absolutely love this book, and im so upset with myself it took me this long to get around to reading it.
I can't say no to a why choose romance, add in the forbidden twin step brothers and thier best friend and include a stalker, some spice and mystery what more can you ask for!!
The cliffhanger 😯 can't wait to read Ashton. i feel it's going to be wild.
Plot: 2.5/5 • Smut: 3/5 —————> This goes by fast, but for some reason it didn’t sit well with me. I was bored through most of it. She goes to college to escape her step brothers and their best friend. After two years, they come to the same school. She starts getting unknown text messages from someone stalking her. She won’t initially tell the guys. Smut is okay.
Great read with plenty of drama, spice, family and much more. I liked seeing everything go down and how these four came back together and I loved all the big twists and can’t wait to see what comes next
Good book, story kept my attention. There were a bunch of typos though. This is a reverse harem that has twin stepbrother and their best friend. Twins! Her step mom is a piece of work!
A different take in the usual college rh romance, not quite a bully, some CNC, lots of spice, step brother twins and their best friend, plus a stalker and a douchey guy.
This was alright. I think the plot was good but the writing of it was bad. Wasn't sure about whether or not to read the sequel but I don't think I'm going to.
