The Radical Self Love Workbook for Adults: A mindfulness Guide with Daily CBT Exercises to Break Free From Self-Criticism, Doubt and Social Anxiety is an excellent workbook for those looking to find… well… self love.

The author doesn't hold themself out to be a learned counselor, therapist or medical practitioner, rather they are just like those who are reading the book: someone who, after years of not understanding their self worth, had an incident that made them realize that they had to do better, to be better, to love more.

The author asks you to make a commitment to yourself before you start the exercises. Reading this book and working through the exercises requires a commitment to self that many who seek this type of book have been asked to do. As you work through the exercises, the reader will find that the exercises are clear, concise and not hard, in and of themselves, the harder part is the amount of self reflection and introspection being required if you are going to make a good go of the work. The book itself is an easy read, the personal investment, not so much.

Heavily based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques (CBT), I would recommend this book for anyone looking to get in touch with who they are, anyone looking to quell anxiety, or anyone wanting to make improvements in their life.

A WONDERFUL SOURCE OF INSPIRATION AND ADVICE. This wonderful book begins by explaining what is meant by the term "self-love" and how to practice it. Unconditionally. It then explores other topics, like vision-creation and goal-setting, things that only people with a certain level of self-love tend to do. At every stage of this book, the author offers practical advice, examples, and exercises for readers to embed self-love and fulfillment into their lives. For anyone who is re-assessing their life, and wanting to reshape it, this book is the place to start. As someone who has extensively researched the positive impact that creativity has on human life, and published the "Inspiration & Creativity" series, I was delighted to see the author of this book make the same point.

I guess this is okay if you are just starting your life. I am at the end of mine, so long term planning is not a goal for me. I'm retired from a paying job, I've been married for years, and I have a pretty high self-esteem. But I'm a sucker for free kindle books, so I read this. It does have some helpful hints and exercises for loving yourself before you begin to love others. Good luck to those of you just starting out. I hope you learn to love yourselves!
