Kat's Tale is an exciting, romantic, paranormal roller coaster ride. The vivid descriptions of Kat's steamy encounters with Caleb will leave you breathless. The tug of war between Kat, Caleb and Gavin is what I wanted Twilight to be. Kat's issues with vampires will come full circle with Caleb and Gavin and just when you think you've seen it all the twist at the end will totally surprise you. Can't wait for to read the next book in the Undying Love series.

The first installment of the Undying Love Series, Kat's Tale gripped me from the beginning. Teresa Mummert has a writing style that grips you from the beginning and leaves you wanting more. I am looking forward to reading the second book in the series.

I love the plot and the unexpected twist in this story. Caleb is to die for and Kat is strong not your typical damsel in distress. I cannot wait for to finish 9lives. I can see this becoming just as popular as the sookie stackhouse mysteries and richelle mead's vampire academy!

I picked this up as a Kindle freebie. And boy, I’m glad it was free. The book description is a little misleading because everyone already knows about the vampires, it isn’t discovered in the book. The main character is jaded because her brother was “killed” by vampires so she has an utter distain for them. She has an ex boyfriend who is so childish. It’s crazy really. He stomps off in a huff every time she shoots him down or says something he doesn’t like. He’s so childish it’s almost unbelievable. I don’t care for the Kat/Caleb match up. Yes, they seem really attracted to each other but the appearance of their connection gets a huge tub of cold water splashed on it when you find out he is controlling/influencing her emotions. In my personal opinion, the most desirable thing about human/vamp couples is that they are attracted to each other without and assistance from supernatural influence. In this case, it was like their whole relationship was fake and forced by Caleb. That’s not sexy. That part was a bit of a letdown and totally changed how I saw them as a couple. After Kat discovered he was a vampire, even his personality changed…or maybe it was that he wasn’t influencing her as much.

Even with me not caring for some of the characters or how the relationships developed, seriously, this book has tons of potential. I really started getting into it then at the point where the action really gets started then book abruptly ends. No resolution for anything. That was disappointing. I honestly thought maybe it was an error on my Kindle version, because I swear, it was like the end of a chapter, not the end of the book. I kept swiping looking for the next page…but there was none. I can’t believe an author would end a book this way, even for a book in a series. Yes, there is always a cliff hanger, but also there are some things that get resolved. Not in this case. I was utterly displeased with the ending.
