Australian academic, who spent most of his career at Oxford University in England. He was an expert on the history of the constitutions of the British Commonwealth.
Very informative and helpful for understanding constitutionalism and polity around the globe. Though while reading it, I felt like it was too Anglo centric and Eurocentric in its approach, for example ignoring any trace of constitutional development in Japan. This book is child of its time and does justice with the topic at hand.
