My wife Sarah is starting a bookkeeping business so I read this to get a better idea of what we're in for. The book gives a good general overview of the topic. A lot of the information can be applied to various business types. In Sarah's case, she is already a practicing CPA so the bookkeeping part was already known. This book gave us some good concepts to think about in starting the new business.
The overall value of the book is good and it is worth reading. Though it does seem to be a bit dated and could use to be updated. It speaks of technology as it as in the early 2000's and is really outdated. But aside from that it is a good book and I found it to be valuable in nature.
