ফেলুদা অমনিবাস
পাহাড়ে ফেলুদা
গোয়েন্দাগিরিতে ফেলুদার হাতেখড়ি পাহাড়ে। দার্জিলিঙের পটভূমিকায় লেখা স্বরণীয় সেই কাহিনীর নাম ‘ফেলুদার গোয়েন্দাগিরি’। তখনও জটায়ু আসেননি, তোপসে নিতান্ত বালক। তবু ফেলুদা একাই একশো। অসামান্য পর্যবেক্ষণ ক্ষমতা তাঁর, বিরল বিশ্লেষণী ক্ষমতা। সেই কাহিনী থেকেই ফেলুদা বাংলা সাহিত্যে চিরকালের এক গোয়েন্দাচরিত্র হয়ে থেকে গেলেন। এরপর অবশ্য পাহাড়ের পটভূমিকায় আরও বহু রহস্যের জট ছাড়িয়েছেন ফেলুদা। কখনও দার্জিলিঙে, কখনো গ্যাংটকে, কখনও কাশ্মীরে, কখনো কাঠমুন্ডুতে, কখনো বা কেদারনাথে। প্রতিটি অ্যাডভেঞ্চার কাহিনী এক কথায় বলতে গেলে দুর্ধর্ষ। গোয়েন্দা ফেলুদার আবির্ভাবের তিরিশ বছর উপলক্ষ্যে আনন্দ পাবলিশার পাহাড়ে ফেলুদার সমুদয় অ্যাডভেঞ্চার কাহিনী এই বইয়ে প্রকাশ করেছে।

Ray was born in the city of Calcutta into a Bengali family prominent in the world of arts and literature. Starting his career as a commercial artist, Ray was drawn into independent filmmaking after meeting French filmmaker Jean Renoir and watching Vittorio De Sica's Italian neorealist 1948 film, Bicycle Thieves.
Ray directed 36 films, including feature films, documentaries and shorts. He was also a fiction writer, publisher, illustrator, calligrapher, graphic designer and film critic. He authored several short stories and novels, primarily aimed at children and adolescents.
Ray's first film, Pather Panchali (1955), won eleven international prizes, including Best Human Documentary at the Cannes Film Festival. This film, Aparajito (1956) and Apur Sansar (1959) form The Apu Trilogy. Ray did the scripting, casting, scoring, and editing, and designed his own credit titles and publicity material. Ray received many major awards in his career, including 32 Indian National Film Awards, a number of awards at international film festivals and award ceremonies, and an Academy Award in 1992. The Government of India honoured him with the Bharat Ratna in 1992.
Early Life and Background:
Ray's grandfather, Upendrakishore Ray Chowdhury was a writer, illustrator, philosopher, publisher, amateur astronomer and a leader of the Brahmo Samaj, a religious and social movement in nineteenth century Bengal. Sukumar Ray, Upendrakishore's son and father of Satyajit, was a pioneering Bengali author and poet of nonsense rhyme and children's literature, an illustrator and a critic. Ray was born to Sukumar and Suprabha Ray in Calcutta.
Ray completed his B.A. (Hons.) in Economics at Presidency College of the University of Calcutta, though his interest was always in Fine Arts. In 1940, he went to study in Santiniketan where Ray came to appreciate Oriental Art. In 1949, Ray married Bijoya Das and the couple had a son, Sandip ray, who is now a famous film director.
Literary Works:
Ray created two of the most famous fictional characters ever in Bengali children's literature—Feluda, a sleuth in Holmesian tradition, and Professor Shonku, a genius scientist. Ray also wrote many short stories mostly centered on Macabre, Thriller and Paranormal which were published as collections of 12 stories. Ray wrote an autobiography about his childhood years, Jakhan Choto Chilam (1982). He also wrote essays on film, published as the collections: Our Films, Their Films (1976), Bishoy Chalachchitra (1976), and Ekei Bole Shooting (1979).
Awards, Honors and Recognitions:
Ray received many awards, including 32 National Film Awards by the Government of India. At the Moscow Film Festival in 1979, he was awarded for the contribution to cinema. এসএসসি পরীক্ষার শেষের দিন আব্বু নিয়ে গেলেন বাজারে যা চাই কিনে দিতে। আমার পরীক্ষার সময় আমার পিতাজী পরীক্ষা হলে গার্ড দেননি, এমনকি যেদিন পরীক্ষা সেদিন হলের ধারে কাছেও আসেননি!। সেখানে গিয়ে পেলাম পাহাড়ে ফেলুদা, আমার অন্যতম প্রিয় লেখকের বই! দ্বিতীয়বার ভাবিনি, ওটা নিয়ে বাড়ি এসেই ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়েছি। তারপর বাঁকি সব ফেলুদা সংগ্রহ কেনা।
আহা! নস্টালজিয়া। ^_^

July 13, 2021আমার পড়া ফেলুদার প্রথম বই। পাহারের সাথে ফেলুদার এক অন্ন রকম সম্পর্ক। সেগুলার মধ্যেই ৩তি গল্প এখানে স্থান পেয়েছে। পাঠকরা এই বই পড়ে যেমন ফেলুদার গোয়েন্দাগিরি উপভোগ করতে পারবেন, তেমনি পাহাড়ের বর্ণনা শুনে এক অন্যরকম জগতে চলে যাবেন।

ফেলুদা মানেই শৈশবের দিনগুলোতে ফিরে যাওয়া। জীবনের অনেকটুকু জুড়েই সে সময় ছিল ফেলুদা, তোপসে আর জটায়ুর এই অমর জুটিখানি।
আমি সৌভাগ্যবান যে ইন্টারনেটের Distraction বাঁচিয়ে আমি কৈশোর অবধি সুন্দর সময়টুকু ফেলুদার সাথে কাটাতে পেরেছি। এমনকি এখনও আছি। এই ত্রয়ীর সাথে আমার সম্পর্ক নিসন্দেহে পৃথিবীর শেষ দিন অবধি অটুট থাকবে।
ফেলুদাই ছিল, আমার ওই যাকে বলে ' আইকন '। ফেলুদার মতো হতে চাওয়ার একটা সুপ্ত বাসনা আমার আশৈশব । "পাহাড়ে ফেলুদা" সংকলনটা পড়ে আবারও বিশেষ রকম ভালো লাগলো। পাহাড় বরাবরই রহস্যময়। তাই বোধ করি, পাহাড়ে ফেলুদাকে যে যে রহস্যগুলোর সম্মুখীন হতে হয়েছে সেগুলো যে আরও অধিক রহস্যময় মনে নয় পাঠকের কাছে । দার্জিলিং জয়জমাট গল্পের রোমাঞ্চ কি ভীষণ ঘোরতর তা ফেলুদা’র পাঠক মাত্র এক বাক্যে স্বীকার করবেন। কি আর বলব, যারা ফেলুদার বই পড়েন না তারা হয় অবাঙালি, নয়তো বাংলার বাইরে থাকেন। যদি আপনি এ দুটোর কোনোটাই না হয়ে থাকেন তাহলে বলব, শীঘ্র ফেলুদার বই সংগ্রহ করুন, পড়ুন, তারপরে আমাদেরকে জানান কেমন লাগলো। ফেলুদার গোয়েন্দারাগিরির প্রথম দুপাতা পড়লেই আশা করি টের পেয়ে যাবেন, এতদিন কত উপাদেয় একটা বস্তু আপনারা অবহেলা করে যাচ্ছিলেন!🙂

I recently visited Gangtok and wanted to re-read Gangtok-e-gondogol to relive my trip. Ray had such a penchant for making these detective stories moonlight as travelogues! I ended up re-reading (have lost count now!) all the stories in this collection and immensely enjoyed them as usual! It is amazing how timeless and ageless these stories are! Highly recommended to everyone (translations are good too- though of course not as enjoyable as the originals!)

Feluda was originally written by Satyajit Ray for the children’s magazine ‘Sandesh’. The popularity of the series was such that Ray went on to include a few adult themes in the later stories when he realized that even adults were enjoying the series.
I actually read Feluda before Agatha Christie and as such Feluda was my introduction to detective fiction. The best part of the stories is the evergreen manner of Ray’s narrative. I remember reading ‘Baadhshahi Angti’ which was written in 1960s and when I visited Lucknow in 1990s, I could still recognize the places described in the book. The other thing that I loved about the series was that in every story we learned something new – be it about geometry or about telepathy.
Absolutely and irrevocably in love with Feluda and his adventures – forever a fan.

No doubt that Feluda is the best detectiv creation of India, So the legend Satyajit's 6 Masterpieces Feluda story happens in mountain contains here. Each with its majesty & charm & the iconic feluda's style.
