good story

Wish I could give it more stars. The zepar storyline? So sad. Sev has been severely lacking any sort of emotional connection to the main character (in my opinion) for the last two books. Artemis seems like such a supporting character in this book as well. I feel like ignatious was pretty well developed in these books for storyline as well as an emotional connection. As for sin, what the truck?! No epilogue with him. No resolution with him. He just falls from the story before the epilogue. Should have definitely given some character resolution for that relationship because now Nyx’s story feels incomplete and the new storyline starts next book. Feels unfinished to me and lacked emotional connection with several MMC’s which is why I sadly only give this book 3 stars.

The book hangover from this one is going to be rough. I can't believe Nyx's story is over. This book was an emotional roller coaster. I am truly going to miss Nyx and her family but this ending did her justice. This is one of my favorite series.

The ending was a bit lackluster for me. There was a lot I wanted to happen with Nyx and her men to tie up the story, and I felt like we didn’t get all that goodness. I knew we would be getting Orina’s story soon so that ending didn’t surprise me one bit. I can’t wait to read Orina’s though because of the friends I feel like she’s the more difficult for me. I hope I like her.

In this one though Nyx is spending a lot of time trying to keep her siblings and men from following her to her death but it’s almost like she forgot how good they did and accomplished things together. They bucked tradition and laws that were meant to separate them you’d think she’d figure out that they were stronger together and needed to be together to accomplish this difficult task.

I disliked that the end of the entity situation went right into the epilogue. We didn’t really get to see anything that happened and I was wishing for more. We also hear about a ceremony but don’t actually get to see it? Why? You already alluded to it and it’s the epilogue play out the whole thing. Not just a section of it.

Still enjoyed this series by Debbie Cassidy.

This series has been filled with twists and turns from the start and it was almost hard to imagine that at some point the series would end. I think the author could have gone on and on and I'm pretty sure we'd never be bored. The world is complex and interesting. The characters each have their own story to tell. And it's one of the first reverse harem books I've encountered where the harem isn't predictable. I was therefore very excited when my arc for this book came in.

Just like the previous books in the series, this book is filled with twists and turns. Even though it's the last book there's still new information to be revealed and finally we get all the information to connect all the pieces of the puzzle. I think this is the kind of series though that's best experienced when binging it. There is so much going in, there are so many characters, it's easy to forget details which makes it harder to get into every new book.

However, I'm glad that our heroine gets a little rest after this book (although it seems there's gonna be a spin-off and it's quite clear that our heroine will be sticking her nose in that story too, so she will not entirely get to enjoy her happily ever after). I'm also really glad that this book is not simply brushing off everything the guys did during the story. Some guys end up in the harem, some don't. Some doors are closed, some doors are left open. But they all get what they deserve.

I also love how this book is eventually about the opposite of how the series started. In the first book all the siblings had to fight each other. There was only one throne and the rules stated that the rest had to die. It already said a lot about our heroine that she managed to change the game, but I'm sure that everyone who reads this last book is even more relieved that she did everything she could to keep her siblings alive. Because in this book she very clearly needs them.

I can't wait to dive into the spin-off!

It's the final book in the Demons of Morningstar series and can I just say it was the perfect ending to an amazing series. Nyx's journey has been long and hard. She's loved and lost throughout the books but she's always come out stronger even when the situations have been heartbreaking. There is loss and betrayal, but as always Nyx's siblings will stick by here through thick and thin.

Nyx and her family need to find a way to close the rip, of course, Sin has a plan that he decides not to let everyone else know about until it's too late to come up with another one. But that doesn't stop Nyx's siblings from trying to find a way. The entire book left me on the edge of my seat and we find out some interesting truths along the way.

I was also more than happy to see the maras finally get the justice they deserved, led by Sin (he's my favourite by the way). Also Chase!! What even!

It was a brilliant ending and the story wrapped everything up. I am a little sad that a certain character with a name beginning with L didn't get to come back, I didn't expect them to but I was definitely hoping.

Bring on the next spin-off in this collection of books.

Definitely pick up

I put off this series for awhile now. That was a mistake. This is an excellent story that is fresh and gives you good amount of action. This will be in my top choices for recommendations in the future.

Finally finished this series and soooo glad that sin wasn't instantly forgiven and accepted. Damn this book is good. Love the world building of this whole series. Love the characters. The found family. The relationships. Everything is chefs kiss. 🤌

Hopefully next year is also an amazing reading year.
Imma go read something else now.

For book 6, it felt a little rushed. It spent a lot of time building up to the happy ending and it appeared at the very very end of the book. I would’ve like to see just a bit more of Nyx without her fighting for her life every second.

All in all a surprisingly good and captivating read, the entire series.
Nowhere near as predicatable as I initially feared and throught, both in regards to the characters and the plot. Refreshinggg

There is so much that happened at the end of Demon Wrath. Hallini had drugged Erinea and Artimus to find out where she could gain access to the abyss. She intended to open the portal and allow the sickness to purge the demon realm. Erinea managed to lock down the portal just in time, but she took a killing blow from Hallini in an attempt to save Artimus. Unfortunately, Hallini’s little minion managed to stab Artimus multiple times before help arrived. We were left hanging on whether or not he would survive. At the same time, Lynal is watching as the rift between the daimon realm and the abyss is breaking open.
Nyx is about to lose Artimus. He isn’t healing, and he’s too far gone to force-feed him her blood. Thankfully, Theo has information that could save his life. Will they be able to in time? Either way, Nyx needs to focus on the other issues. The main problem is the rift, and they don’t know where Zepar is to stop whatever he is planning. Time is running out. They have their mission: close the rift no matter what. Will they all make it out of this alive?
The final installment of the Demons of Morningstar series is even more suspenseful than the others. It keeps you on your toes with one event after another. Once I picked this book up, I didn’t put it down until I finished it. Debbie Cassidy is remarkable at writing a suspenseful story. There’s so much I want to say about the events of the book, but I don’t want to give away any spoilers. For as short as this book is, 272 pages on Kindle Unlimited, there is so much that happens. The alternating perspectives help a lot with everything that is going down. It’s a great tool to build suspense. It’s similar to watching a soap opera. When something crazy happens, they switch to another part of the story happening at the same time that isn’t as intense.
All in all, this was a great series to read. You can tell that Debbie Cassidy put their heart and soul into this series. The editing was top-notch. The character development was incredible. The Demons of Morningstar series is well worth the read, especially once the spice hits.

It was a great story, it really was- but two of the FMCs guys “die.”

1) Zepar is actually corrupt and the FMC ends up having to kill him. Really kill him. There’s no magic coming back like I hoped… I was sobbing over his last line. They said they loved each other and had an established rapport I did not expect him to DIE die. She later sees him in Heaven and he asks her to stay, but she declines and that’s the last time they see each other.

2) Loke.. oh my god. The FMC gets more or less trapped in an alternate reality with him for what was THREE YEARS in that timeline. They were so in love, they closed the business they met at, was moving into the new home they built to live happily ever after together when Zepar’s now evil self shows up and basically blows Loke to pieces. The FMC reverses time and saves Loke- but then they have to erase all his memories and send him to another world no one else can ever reach. She says she’s sorry he’ll forget her but he’ll always feel her love in his heart. And then he’s GONE FOREVER.

There is also no resolution for Sin in the epilogue, he says he’s not worthy to be her consort yet and it just… ends that way.

I realize the focus of the series was more plot than romance but I’m actually heartbroken over these characters. I don’t really consider it a true HEA, honestly. I’ll probably have this sad bitter taste in my mouth for months.

SIX. BOOKS. Only to end it feeling sad, and not in a book hangover way. Just so sad.

Thank you! Captivating, intriguing & brilliantly written, a series now in my top 10 favourites.

Review for books 1-6 of the Demons of Morningstar series…

I have been looking for a book series that has pulled me fully into the story for so long, allowing me to feel like I am there with each of the characters, experiencing and sharing in their feelings, thoughts and actions, seeing each scene as it unfolds. Thank you Debbie.

Nyx, what can I say, she is the kind of heroine all authors should try to adopt. She is strong willed, has a confidence yet finds herself doubting her worth, love to give aplenty. She has several love interests so yes there are many sex scenes over the series but the main story still holds me captivated (I have, over many months, read book series where the authors ruin the storyline by adding way too many sex scenes, and I’m no prude, I have actually not finished some of those series I’m ashamed to say). Ignatius, Artimus, Sev, Loke, Zepar & Sin are beautifully written love interests (fans at the ready ladies 😉).

The characters are so very well written that it is easy to like, love and in some cases vehemently dislike. Each character is made up of many layers which the author shows us over the series. Each domain gives us something new and unique to focus on for each of the main male leads, again with several layers to each. I have chuckled, cried, been so angry 😡 , scared and happy reading these books.

I suggest stating with Quinn’s story. I’m off to find Orina’s story now 😊

The final book in the Demons of Morningstar series was nothing but perfect. Nyx's journey has been long and hard, but she’s not only survived, she’s thrived. She has been through some hard trials and has lost loved ones, but she continues to come out stronger even when anyone else would have already given up. Nyx's siblings and mates stick with her through thick and thin and she’s lucky to have them. She wouldn’t have made it far without them.

The rip has opened again. It’s up to her to close it with help from her mates, friends, and family. Of course Sin has a plan. A plan that he keeps to himself until it's too late to come up with another one. One that wouldn’t put Nix at risk. Does that stop Nyx's siblings from trying to find a better way? No. Truths come out, for better or worse. Sin admits to how he really feels about Nix, Chase shows us what he really is, who he really is. Nix finds out who her “mother” is and gets to meet her. The maras finally get the justice they deserve. We finally find out what happened with Zephyr and he makes amends. Got a little teary on that part, not gonna lie. Our wonderful “throne” becomes her own person to save our beloved Nix… We don’t hear from Loke again, which is definitely a bummer…. Nix and her men finally get to be together and Sun is working on making himself worthy of Nix. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending, even though I’m so sad it did end!

I can’t wait to read the next big thing from our wonderful author!!!

The end

Last book in this series this was season two, Quinn was season one and Nyxs was season two just one person left orina three girls who are not related but have been best friends from a young age made a pack bond of sisterhood to jump to action if they needed each other.Funny thing is they make cameos in each other's story but other commitments stops them being there for the big battles I think the author made it so because they have there own seasons and fate I guess with a different set of people, I think we can guess some of orinas love interests we seen hints. This series tyes up all lose end but ends with a letter for nyxs about her friend orina making it clear she will investigate if she is ok.

I like the storylines very interesting and action pack made me feel like taking notes at one point very complex.I did feel there was to much sex and very lust driven details was not necessary.I'm also not a fan of RH but was already into the story in season one with Quinn so have continued I have read better RH this did feel all over the place one minute they are alphas not wanting to share then there is foursomes? Yes RH is not for me but I have read many (most of the time accident) and some are more classy done and tidy delivered.
The storyline in this was very good and very sad well written heart Breaking moments to.

This final installment of Nyx's story tears your heart out over and over again. I can't remember the last time I cried this much reading a book. Even in the face of all the things she has lost over the course of this series, Nyx never lets go of the love she has for her family and her men. While the romance she has with her guys is fire, the relationship that is really the shining star of this whole series is the one she has with her siblings and that finishes strong. I love all of them and Tristeene, I am praying that that girl gets her own spin off because she proved that she is just as tough as any of her siblings and will go to any length to help them. There are a lot of surprises in this last book, some good and some bad. The series does end in a happy ending, although a bit bittersweet, as some of the characters I loved didn't make I to the finish line....I was really hoping for a surprise return of the one who was sent away but it wasn't meant to be. I loved everything about this series and Nyx's series is right at the top of my favorites list. I am also super excited to see that we won't be completely leaving Nyx behind, and I can't wait to see what happens for Orina.

Epic battles and emotional farewells...

Riveting end of days, final battle filled with emotional farewells and defiance.
I wish I could articulate the emotional damage this book brought. For 4 books, you learn to love and care for these vivid characters only to spend an entire book saying farewells. The tears I shed are unaccountable.
Nyx faces the reason she was made for. The end. To save her family and lovers. After surviving insurmountable trials and turbulations, she's a lamb to the slaughter. But the hardest thing she refuses to face is that she needs help. At every obstacle, there is someone pulling her up, yet she refuses to allow the help. The fiercely loyal family does not head her wishes. They face the world destroyer with her.
Tropes:
Found family. Survival. Final battle. Belated love epiphany. Emotional.
Quotes:
“We’re connected, Qalbi. I can help. Expel my efreet power and—”“That won’t save her,” Sin said. “You’ll both die.”“Then so be it,” Ignatius growled, his gaze locked with mine. “There is nothing left for me in this world without my twin flame.”

“I won’t let her die alone. We go into death together. Together as we have always been.”

I loved the conclusion of the Demons of Morningstar series. I was in tears for much of this book but our girl got her HEA. Although there seems to be an opening in this series as it seems that Sin is a bit of a holdout in the end.

Zepar does finally find peace and we find out what had really happened to him, Chase isn't quite what he seems to be, Babs is naughty and has been fiddling with things for much longer than we originally thought, and all of Sin's lies and secrets come out to roost in this series ender. But Debbie does make sure that we know, it takes the power of love, family, friends, and lovers to make us stronger and that the third time's a charm for our newly appointed Satan. I can't wait to see what happens next in this world as we are left with a well-rounded HEA (almost see the comment about Sin at the beginning) but a cliffhanger that leads us into Orina's story.

Now we just need to wait for the new set of books from this world by Debbie and I honestly can't wait!

Intelligent and Intense

‘A sense of calm settled over me like a shroud. Everything fell into place and made sense. All the twists and turns in my life. Fighting fate. Making new paths. It had all been to avoid this destiny. This death. And it had all been for nothing because no matter how much I might want to, I couldn’t walk away from this. If I did, I’d be dooming not only the demon realm, but the mortal one too.’

Debbie Cassidy pulls your hearts in the last book in her Demons of Morningstar series, Demon Reborn!

Nyx has been through it all, over these six amazing books, and each one has led us over a precipice, thinking that her life will end-and if you’ve read the first five books in the series you will understand why our hearts are in our throats, waiting to see just how she is treated in this finale.

Creatively written, with scenes that make you feel the physicality of Nyx and her mates, her siblings, and her enemies. We cheer her on and hope that fate will step in to say this heroine!

The final book in Nyx' story is a complete rollercoaster of drama, loss, love, loyalty, action, and total madness. The Rift is open, the infection spreading, the political games among the courts are on the top, and some threats are just now materializing... yet the biggest bomb is Nyx' true nature and purpose, the games of the fate, and all the secrets that are coming to the surface, adding the last puzzle pieces to the whole picture.
Let me just say this story was AMAZING. This book and the whole series. The complexity of the world building, attention to detail, and the brilliance with which it is brought to life is simply mind blowing and it sucks the reader into the world almost physically. I loved the characters, all the twists and turns in the plot, the unpredictability of the events, the shocking revelations (and the sheer amount of surprises too!). The relationships have never stopped to develop, same as the characters, and I also very much enjoyed the ending. Hopefully we haven't seen the last of Nyx yet!

have a bottle of wine while you read this one

Spice: 2.5/5 - good scenes but this is far more action packed than smut

YALL! I spent this entire book on the edge of my seat. I’m at home sick with a high fever and completely unable to rest because I NEEDED TO FINISH THIS!

This final book was packed full of action, fighting for their lives and the safety of the world. We found out what Sin was hiding all along and honestly, hate him for it but he gets redeemed. Just be ready to have emotions flying everywhere.

I’m so heartbroken for all Nyx had to go through to get to this ending. A beautiful and fitting ending, but it was hard work. Like why couldn’t we have Loke in the end. Seriously? There could’ve been a work around where he was there. She got 3 beautiful years with him but I needed more. And poor Zepar. Like a crap guy for 1/2 this series, but in the end all I feel is pity for him.

Her 3 consorts and 1 sorta in the end fit her perfectly. All bringing her a little something to her life. The ending was beautiful, but I’ll miss all of them.

This series was highly recommended by a book influencer that I follow and being a RH paranormal romance I had to dive straight in.
I really enjoyed this series with it's vivid world building, engaging characters, found family, various paranormal 'species', banter, romance and spice. There were a few twists and turns that I didn't see coming which is always great. The FMC was strong and feisty, and I loved the way she brought her family together with the varying personalities. The MMCs were charismatic, engaging and sexy. There were a couple of things that bugged me though... I wish there had been more romance (and spice), it seemed that area suffered to fit in all the plot points and action. To me it seemed like most of the romance was with one MMC in particular, and yet another MMC was left in the 'wings' for ages. I would have loved if they were together as a group earlier with more romance peppered throughout t he story. Overall, however, I did really enjoy this series and will be checking out more books by this author.

Whoa this book!! It’s like fireworks finale type of ending for the set where you are so hyped the entire show and at the end you think wow what an experience! You definitely need to clear some time for this one because there is no down time!! We get sucked in and ripped apart just to be put back together and ripped apart again. This author definitely knows how to make us feel all the feels and pull us through a rollercoaster of oh my god what is happening now moments! And the power of family - just a beautiful thing!! And Tristeene! What an unexpected twist and I love her action moments!! I loved how everything came full circle and we get the classic breadcrumbs that make you want to do an immediate reread of the entire series to see what else you might pick up. If you love action, heart wrenching moments, heart melting moments, surprises and twists, and a finale so explosive you’ll be shocked and shook - this is definitely the book for you!!

This was one of Cassidy's wildest rides, with so much on the line not just in the sense of action, but the relationships and RH that Nyx had. I am amazed with how many story and plot lines have been started and suspended over the entire 6 book series, and somehow just about everything still is wrapped up by the end. Nyx had a shocking revelation to her parentage, a heartbreaking head to head with Zepar, confrontation with Sin, more solidifying of the sibling bonds, and an epic battle with their enemy coming to take over Morningstar. If you've made it this far into the series, you are well acquainted with the backstabbing drama of Morningstar, and how the intricate relationships and alliances can make or break anyone. All of that comes to a glorious head, and Nyx is finally given the information, revelations, and closure to have her happy ending. Yet in true Cassidy form, our ending is as much a beginning for someone else, as it is Nyx's ending.

This book brings us to the end of Nyx's story, but there's a hint we'll be seeing her in Orina's story which I'm already looking forward to.

So you're going to need to pay attention when you read this book, so much is going on, we jump from one POV to another as everything and everyone comes together to try and heal the rift. An amazing action-packed finale. There is no downtime at all and I had to stop myself from jumping ahead to try and find out what happens.

As always the world-building pulls you into the story, and the characters pull at your heartstrings. This series shows the power of family and working together as a team.

When I look back to the first book I can't believe how far and how much has happened.

After everything she's gone through Nyx gets the ending and the guys she deserves.

Demon Reborn is the last book in the Demons of Morningstar series of which I definitely loved reading it. It had me on an emotional rollercoaster ride all the way through .. I was laughing and crying all the way through.
Nyx and her siblings came through strong like a family always does all the way to the end. I loved the different P.O.V.'s of all the characters. They were very exciting and exhilarating with each detailed part and kept me on my toes.
I loved how all the mysteries and secrets were revealed and all the twist of things were unraveled and tied up perfectly in the end. I was taken on a wonderful adventure and loved every bit of the adventure. I'm looking forward to what Debbie has instore for us to magically pull out of her sleeves.
This book is definitely worth the 5 stars and more because it pulls you in and takes you for an exciting ride.

How do you say goodbye to a friend? To a world you’ve spent a REALLY long time with? In the most spectacular fashion possible! As readers are launched back into Nyx’s world, everything comes to a head. It’s time for old secrets to come screaming into the light, lost loves and loved ones to be found, and of course it’s time for Nyx to show everyone why she is the baddest chick in the land.

As Nyx and her family continue searching for the way to shut down the infection encroaching in the Abyss, time is running out. For literally everything. I was on tenterhooks the entire book as I waited to see what would happen. This series was completed in spectacular fashion, with arcs resolved, but it wouldn’t have been a book by this author without some huge bombs being dropped along the way. This was a roller coaster for sure, but one of the best I’ve been on!

Nyx's final installment is here!!! And wow, this one is a doozy! The action slams onto the page and keeps going.

We've known since book 1 that Nyx isn't to be messed with, her loyalty, once gifted, is unshakable, and that is put to the test here, in book 6. Family is the name of the game... which is a touch odd, all things considered. Not only does that display phenomenal character growth, but it also reverses how this all began and leads these souls we've come to love to an ending that feels hard-earned.

Secrets, twists, and pain - all hallmarks of a good Cassidy novel, and all very much present here. By the time I was finished, I felt satisfied, even if I do have some questions. It looks like the story will go on for a bit, at least in another iteration. Perhaps Nyx will have a cameo. Oh, who am I kidding - of course she'll have a cameo.

I read this series in 3 days, and I was really loving the story! The world-building is compelling, and the characters are great for the most part (except for Sin, Sin sucks). I like Debbie Cassidy's books; I've read a lot of them, and I always get really immersed in the story. The major problem with Debbie is that she has the too much gene. The world is always too much, and the MC is always too much... I love an OP character. I mean, who wants to read about a weak nobody who does nothing? But Debbie's MCs are too much, I feel. Too powerful, too unique, too special. This is a minor issue, though; it doesn't bother me that much. What does bother me is the fact that Debbie's series always feels unfinished. I don't think she knows how to wrap up a story and give it a proper ending, so the last books always left me feeling unsatisfied, which was the case with this book.

This book was an absolute emotional rollercoaster. I giggled, I cried and I swooned.

Spoiler alert, everything works out. It's just the journey to the HEA that will totally have you on the edge of your seat.

I read this in 2 days, which for me is fast, because I couldn't put it down.
This series as a whole is something I highly recommend.
I honestly love a nice long series that you can just immerse yourself in for awhile and you can completely do that with this.

This one has a good sprinkle of spice, especially at the end, but it's very plot heavy like the previous books.

Also every question throughout the series that hadn't been answered, gets answered. So it's wrapped up in a neat little bow, which I love.
