Ummm. When you having been single for the most part is the longest standing joke amongst your friends, it's not uncommon to not expect such "gifts" from them. And so this book was a "gift", though what my friends aimed to achieve by gifting me this is not something I can understand. But hey, I thought, let me read it, you know, to humour them. And read it I did. It was...interesting. The "magic" and "witchcraft" part wasn't as overt as I had hoped expected it to be. I mean, I didn't expect Avada Kevdavra, but then again I didn't expect Ms. Dugan to tell me that the key is all in what my perfume smells like, either. Anyway, point being, I don't know how to rate this, so I hope my er...review does the trick.
Disclaimer: My friends bought me the book as a joke.
I am still reading this--it's ongoing. I pull it out when I have a question about presentation. She has some really good ideas about how to use fragrances and a rundown of fragrance families. It's mostly for entertainment. I strongly doubt these tricks will lure some unsuspecting male to you.
I actually got this book because I was hoping for so e self esteem boosters. Some things to make not only the outward me more attractive, but to make me feel more attractive to attract the good things in life. Unfortunately there wasn't much of that in this book.
I absolutely love Ellen Dugans writing style, but I think that this is one of the weaker books she has written. Still very much worth the read.
i thought that this was a interesting book and it had some interesting and fun ideas and spells that are not manipluative which i thought was a double bonus
