Cool social history. Primitive accumulation in the Sudan. Illuminating on the general question of transition from slavery and serfdom to wage labor. Also goes into Sudanese jazz, and mentions that British war policies lead to famine in the Sudan as they did in Bengal.Pretty much an awesome little book.
