Rate this book

Five years later, they met again at nanatiling wala siyang alam sa pagkatao ng lalaki.

The bandits unftortunately ask Amanda to talk, para malaman kung taga-Maynila siya and it happened that this mystery guy on her side nag-amin na mag-asawa raw sila. And that was the start of this hide and seek romance.

After that accident, she went back to Manila and made a new life. But this new life she was expecting to be great ay naging basag na salamin. But this mystery guy 5 years ago, ay biglang nagbulaga sa kanyang boutique isang umaga at napakilalang Mitch. Hanggang nasangkot ulit siya sa isang gulo and their love is bigger than the tragic events that happened between them.

I am very distinct pagdating sa mga sex scenes, bulgaran na ito, at masasabi kong Martha Cecilia made impossible (the sex) into extraordinary. I don't mean that I did the regular guy thing while reading it, what I mean is, ito na talaga ang totoong masasabing hinahanap ng mga kababaihan sa Pilipinas. Last time I had a friend who asked me, 'may sex ba yang binabasa mo?' and I said, 'no.' Bigla na lang siyang tumawa and said, 'di interesting ang mga binabasa mo.' See, that's how sex works to most female.

I regard all the readers that Martha Cecilia always include that x-rated term, like every chapter she always indicate a specific place where characters can cling and do the thing. Well, it's normal for a romance novel to include this stuff and I think younger mind or the conservatives ay ito ang reason bakit ayaw nila sa pocketbooks. But pocketbooks also promote conservative one, yung mga patawa lang at simpleng love story.

Martha Cecilia can write complex stories in a very minimal page. She include action scenes, twists and not so stereotype kontrabidos in one hundred forty-four pages novella and my friend said to her review make sense. A story, even so short, ay dapat mabubusog ang mambabasa and that will always be in my first thing to do while writing romance novel.

In general, pocketbooks had this big problem regarding POVs. They had good stories to share but the POVs are quite confusing. Para bang maya maya binabasa mo ang perspective nang lalaki while kanina girl naman without indicating na iiba na. Not like the normal thick novels that we read, such as The Traveler's Wife and Before Ever After that they include dates or bar to indicate the turning point of POVs.

Mapapansin mo talaga kahit nakapikit ka pa at nakikinig sa nagbabasa, everything is a cylce and then recycling until it will be overused by the writers.

Yun nga lang, you have to use your wide imagination para maka kuha ng signal. Mas maganda pa to kasi di nakakasawa ang mga mukha ng tauhan, kaw bahala kung pangit man o ikaw mismo ang artista. The twist might add suspense in the story and sometimes nakakabanas basahin.
