This book was a cute little story about how one family celebrates the Passover holiday. I am not Jewish, nor do I have a ton of knowledge of the holiday, but it did seem to touch on the basics of the traditions of the holiday. The family was loving and playful, and their celebration seemed like a good time. I wasn’t overly fond of the rhyme scheme, which seemed to be forced at times.

A pretty picture book that highlights the festivities and tradition of celebrating Passover.

What I liked about the book was the end where the author summarizes the importance of Passover and what the food symbolize.

This is a youthful book that lightly teaches youth about a Jewish holiday.

Passover is one family's celebration of the Jewish holiday. The story touches on the traditions on this holiday celebration, and explains to young children how much fun the holiday can be. There is a rhyming pattern that makes the book a very quick read and I suggest this for anyone looking to learn about the customs a jewish family might partake in during the holiday. The illustrations are very appropriate for the text.

Lesson Plan: I honestly would not use this book in a public school because the story is based off of a religious holiday. But if I had to I would use this story as a way to compare other religious holidays. I might use this for a poster presentation that showed different religious traditions.

Little Moe and his family prepare for Passover celebrations together, they clean the house, shine the dishes, prepare for Seder dinner, and hunt for the afikomen (matzah). Moe and his family reflect on this day, and appreciate the Jews being free and the celebration of Passover. This is a great descriptive book on the story of Passover!

Passover is an okay book. It is written for Jewish people specifically because it a non jew were to read it he or she would not understand the traditions mentioned. I would read this book around passover time because it's a fun book without many Jewish Passover facts.
