This book is made up of mini-essays, ranging from four to about twenty pages, all about global sociocultural-economic issues. They are broken down into chapters by topic, which makes it easy to find exactly what you are looking for. Love the bite-sized information, love the diversity of articles covered in the work.
Beyond Borders by Paula S. Rothenberg has change my perception on the world. I have gained a broader more comprehensive awareness of social issues that I was not aware off. I really enjoy the way the book was broken down into topics and has many articles and essays written by activist, scholar and policy makers around the world. It gives you a wide variety and valuable information that gives you cultural and social awareness, I highly recommend this book.
I didn't read the whole book (yet) or from cover to cover. The format is really interesting. This is a collection of articles written by many people, each article is short and gets to the point. My classes read selected articles and they were all very good. This is a book that one day I will finish on my own!!!
