The Bedtime Book brings together 20 stories and poems about bedtime and nighttime that are perfect for reading aloud. The collection has a strong multicultural bent, and includes well-known writings in addition to traditional works from the Caribbean, Alaska, Japan, England, and Iceland. Warm, appealing illustrations accompany the sometimes lulling, sometimes lively, verbal descriptions of millions of stars, silvery moons, mischievous night creatures, things that go bump in the night, and little lost witches. As an added bonus helpful to parents, storytelling times are included for each story.
