Tagged for Life by Aditya Nighhot is a contemporary romance fiction revolving around two people who come together only to drift apart. Their destinies cross paths but go in different directions. A love that germinates out of selflessness, a love that goes past all the obstacles, the one that culminates into a relationship of a lifetime.

It is the love story of Karan Malhotra, a famous filmmaker's son, and Ahana Mukherjee, a middle-class girl from Kolkata. Both of them meet at a college where they have come to pursue a course in film-making. Ahana is an aspiring author but has found no success so far. She also opposes the concept of love. And though Karan's life is full of riches, he is still not happy. But when he meets Ahana, he falls in love with her.

How would their story come full circle?

Exploring the themes of love, relationships, heartbreak, and growth, Tagged for Life pulls off the show with a dramatic storyline. While the plot does happen to be slightly predictable, Nighhot's writing is lucid and breezy, something a casual reader will certainly enjoy.

One gets to read a few poetic lines amidst the ups and downs in the lives of characters. It adds to the appeal of the book. And the end portrays how once love is born, it is there, for life!

If you are looking for a quick, easy, romantic read, pick this one.

I have no words. My heart is shattered and I just couldn't hold back my tears. I literally had to save the book so that I don't spoil it with my tears although I did end up dropping a few on some pages. I have no idea how I'm going to move on from this book. This book is so close to my heart and I love it so much! God knows how many rom-coms I will have to read to get over the hurt that this book has caused me. The author has taken control over words and used them in a really powerful manner–I'm stunned!
The entire tale waltzes around Karan Malhotra (MMC) – a famous filmaker's son and Ahana Mukherjee (FMC) – a middle class girl from Kolkata. Where on one hand Karan is not happy even after owning family riches, on the other hand Ahana wants to achieve something big in life! Both having dreams to fulfill, unexpectedly meet at a film-making course at FTII only to fall in love with each other but what can they do when their fates don't allow them to stay together?
I could relate to Ahana choosing her career over everything so much although now I'm scared. Karan's selfless love has made me reluctant to question–does love like this actually exist in this world? This book gave me an actual reality check! Crazy how the universe can turn the tables just like that!
Every human on this damn planet needs to read this book, may be then we humans can understand the true meaning of the beautiful four lettered word–LOVE in a better way!

A note to author :
I just need one answer from the author–WHY?! Why did you do that to us? Hell! How could you do that to your reader's tender hearts? I'm sobbing like anything and WHEN ARE YOU LAUNCHING YOUR NEXT BOOK?! I NEED TO READ IT even though I'm a HUGE sucker of happily ever afters and I know that I'm going to end up shattered yet again! I definitely need to dig in and read other books written by you.
P.S. Their wish under the Wisdom Tree didn't really come true entirely. :')
P.S.S. This book made me ugly cry and I ended up having a bad cold–TOTALLY WORTH IT.

Aditya Nighhot's Tagged for Life is a captivating love story that follows the lives of two young individuals from different backgrounds who fall in love while studying film-making in college.

While the writing style and narration are engaging and fast-paced, the characters could have been better developed in terms of personal growth.

The novel's theme is centered around the idea that true love can overcome any obstacle, and the plot is well-paced, making it a quick and easy read. While it may be predictable and not particularly moving, it will still appeal to readers who enjoy romance fiction, particularly those new to the genre.

"Tagged for Life" by Aditya Nighhot is a heartfelt love story that revolves around Karan Malhotra, a filmmaker's son, and Ahana Mukherjee, a middle-class girl pursuing her dreams of becoming an author. Set against the backdrop of a college film-making course, their paths intertwine, leading to a beautiful and tumultuous relationship.

The book explores the complexities of love, highlighting the challenges and sacrifices that can arise when careers and personal ambitions come into play. Nighhot's writing style is simple yet engaging, with short chapters that maintain a swift pace, making it an enjoyable read.

While the plot is good , somewhere I felt that the character sketches could have been more developed, enhancing the overall depth of the story. However, the book succeeds in evoking a range of emotions, captivating readers with its beautiful language and skillful storytelling.

The narrative cleverly weaves together past and present, culminating in a satisfying conclusion that ties all the loose ends together.

In conclusion, "Tagged for Life" is a poignant and engaging book that explores the intricacies of love and the pursuit of dreams. While it may not necessarily leave a profound impact, it serves as an enjoyable and heartfelt read, leaving readers with a sense of warmth and satisfaction.

This book took me back to days when I used to read romance books written by Ravinder Singh, Durjoy Dutta and Chetan Bhagat. It portrays the very Bollywood essence of a love story right from the beginning till the end.

Ahana being born and brought up in a middle-class family background strives hard to see herself succeeding in her passion as a director and renowned author. Karan on the other hand, is born with a silver spoon and brought up in a luxurious family, but he is determined to make a name of his own in the film industry as a director and film producer.

Both Ahana and Karan cross paths in college and become friends. Life happens and they both excel in their career and then cross paths again after 5 years.

The story is written in a simple language which makes this book an easy read. The ending is emotional and heartbreaking which I rarely like to read. But I loved the concept and elements of this book that revolved around growth, fame, career and friendship.

If you're looking for an easy romance read that can be completed in 2-3 days, then you should pick this up.

Chetan Bhagat's "2 States" or a Durjoy Dutta title would be cheaper and a doubtlessly better investment. The 5-star reviews here are probably fake, because it definitely does not deserve it.

Karan, is born to a rich dad who is a successful film producer. He had everything which he wanted from his childhood but he always felt like something is missing in his life. He lives with his dad, stepmom and stepbrother. He wishes to be a film director who makes good movies without the back support of his dad and his production house.

Ahana, is born in a middle class family in Kolkata. She is an unsuccessful author who aspires to be a film director. She wants to be professionally successful, financially independent and to make her own fame. She always stood away from relationships as she thought that it will take her away from her dreams and career.

The Mumbai boy and Bengali girl meets each other as classmates at FTII, Pune during their pursuit of learning direction. They becomes friends and gradually starts to feel something special between them but never opens up. After finishing the course she decides to move to US to pursue her dreams of being an author and director. Karan tries to stop her by proposing her but gets rejected. Will they ever be able to reunite? To know about that you need to read "TAGGED FOR LIFE: WILL YOU BE MY WIFE".

MY VIEWS
‌I absolutely loved the characterization in the novel. Each character had their own unique personalities. The theme of career vs love is wonderfully portrayed by the author. The plot development and the ups and downs were just perfect. From the beginning to end I thoroughly enjoyed everything.

‌The novel has two narrators. One is Karan and the other is Ahana. So the readers can understand their views and feelings completely and can genuinely connect to it.

‌I felt like Ahana's character a bit selfish from the beginning. But in the last few chapters she seems as a matured selfless lady. I can't explain why because I don't want this review to be a spoiler.

‌There are a lot of quotes throughout the novel which I loved. Some verses in Hindi language are used in between to express the feelings of Karan and Ahana which was the cherry on the top of the sweet dessert.

FAVOURITE CHARACTER
Offcourse, I like Karan and Ahana. But my favourite character is Rahul, who selflessly keeps supporting and cheering Ahana even after getting rejected by her.

FAVOURITE CHAPTER
Chapter - 38 It is the shortest chapter in the novel full of Karan's thoughts. He shares everything in his mind to God which was highly relatable to me.

FAVOURITE SCENE
In chapter 16, we see Karan, Ahana and their team shoots a short film. Karan chooses a greenary filled mountain and a natural waterfall to shoot a proposal scene using drone. A rainbow appears while the shooting is on, adding to it's beauty. I know, it's weird that my favourite scene have no connection with the main story. But I think that's fine.

FAVOURITE QUOTE
"Marriage is just a destination;
but love is a never-ending journey!"

SUM UP
It was really a great read. I'll say you guys also have to give it a try and trust me you'll never regret about picking this book. I will share the link to purchase it online. Just grab a cup of tea or coffee put some music on and enjoy the book.

 Tagged for life review:
∞ Karan Malhotra x Ahana Mukherjee

 “Are you sure that all dreams come true?” She questioned me.
“Most of them come true if wished in the proper way.” I replied.
 "Sometimes Love can happen at the first instance, one need not spend ages to get connected"
 "He and me are two spirits, one heart, We may remain away, but never apart, Our story is like a never ending tale, I'll never be able to love anyone like this again."
This book is my very first reading by the author Aditya Nighhot. Aditya Nighhot’s writing is very simple & easy to understand. It’ll captivate you from its very end. I was very intrigued by reading the blurb & started reading it.
The blurb initially set the stage for what seemed like a classic Bollywood movie plot. Karan Malhotra, the son of a renowned filmmaker, encounters Ahana Mukherjee, a determined middle-class girl with aspirations of independence and success. Ahana's scepticism towards love contrasts sharply with Karan's upbringing, where he yearns for affection in the midst of opulence, owning luxurious sports cars that others can only dream of.
The story of Karan and Ahana in this book is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, with many ups and downs, twists and turns, and moments of separation and reunion.
What is love for you? Do you believe it?
For me, yes I do believe in love, that “janmo janmo ka pyaar”. This book will take you through it. And this books talk exactly about that kind of love. The first love. The love that makes you want to change. For better or for worse, is upto for you to decide.
This one portrays the very Bollywood essence of a love story right from the beginning till the end. The elements? Trying to shatter Patriarchy with a strong female character, street food competitions, college romance and projects, supportive best friends, rich and middle-class conflict and my favourite- Airport scene.
The story revolves around two individuals from contrasting backgrounds, each carrying their own set of dreams, aspirations, and beliefs. Ahana, an aspiring author, is struggling to find success in her writing career while harbouring a deep-rooted opposition to the concept of love. On the other hand, Karan, despite his life of wealth and privilege, feels a void within himself and yearns for true happiness.
With time, their love started to blossom. While Karan had been smitten with her from the beginning, Ahana, too, found her heart leaning towards him. However, life's twists took an unexpected turn when, during their farewell, Karan gathered the courage to confess his feelings, only to learn that Ahana had received an offer from a foreign publishing house, asking her to move to New York. It was painful decision but, she chose her career over their love, causing their story to pause.
Five years later, destiny intervened, bringing them face to face once again. But would this couple find their way back to each other? Would they finally attain their happily ever after? Or did fate have different plans in store? A must read!

"To call somebody your life partner it is important to love selflessly, not marry." ❤️♾️

TAGGED FOR LIFE : WILL YOU BE MY WIFE? ~ By Aditya Nighhot 🙌🏻🥺✨🥀

Book Review💌:- (5/5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐)
I've always been a fan of Indian romance novels, and It's been some time that I've not read any heart touching love story & then I read this, I don't know what to say about this book, but I finished this book yesterday in just two sittings & since then my mind isn't working, I couldn't sleep properly last night after reading it, I cried a lot last night, idk why my tears aren't stopping (till now). I'm completely shattered right now, I just don't have the right words to pour it out. 🥀

The story revolves around two individuals from contrasting backgrounds, each carrying their own set of dreams, aspirations, & beliefs. Ahana, an aspiring author, is struggling to find success in her writing career while nurturing a deep-rooted opposition to the concept of love. On the other hand: Karan, the son of a famous & rich Bollywood director. Despite his life of wealth and privilege, feels a void within himself & yearns for true happiness. They both joins in the same university & later they get close and with time, their love started to bloom & blossom. While Karan had been smitten with her from the beginning. But this wasn't a one sided love. Ahana, too, found her heart leaning towards him. Karan helps her in her writing career. He wanted love & Ahana was career oriented.
However, life's twists took an unexpected turn when, during their farewell, Karan gathered the courage to confess his feelings, only to learn that Ahana had received an offer from a foreign publishing house, asking her to move to New York. Now what do you think? What would she choose her career or love??? What has destiny planned for them. Well, their story pauses for five years. And after that their destiny intervened, bringing them face to face once again. They didn't wanted to face each other, but we can't deny anything from the destiny, it's already written right? So, they meets again. 🥀
But would they find their way back to each other? Would they finally attain their happily ever after? Or did fate have different plans in store? Was true love written on their destiny? Was a happy ending written in their story??? Well, you must find out these all and read the book.

Overall this is a must read! For the ones who loves to enjoy roller coaster rides (Love Stories) of these with all the kinds of emotions. Grab this book (with some tissues) if you want to cry your heart out. It's also a must read for the ones who are compromising between both career & love. You would find the characters relatable & as well as the book written in a very easy language. This book is going to make you laugh, blush, giggle, feel loved, angry, disappointed, cry and would shatter your heart into million pieces.
You must read this book if you love sad love stories, & also if you want to embark on a twisted journey. This was my first time reading a book of this author & I'm already a fan of his writing. I'm looking forward to read more of his works.

Thank you and Happy Reading. ☺️📖

Do you love reading a tale of love with heart wrenching plot but not a monotonous love story ?

"Marriage is just a destination, but love is never ending journey!"

Here is a selfless love that experiences ups and downs, twists and turns and mind games that each relationship brings in.

A gripping story in no doubt of keeping you in the edge of the seat, and leaves you distraught at the end.

This book had left me distraught, for I hardly knew that this book would shatter me into pieces, and load my tender heart with so much of pain !

I just got traumatic when I came to an actual ending of the story. This left me to really check the reality whether such of kind of love exists?

Ahana being born and brought up in a middle class family background, strives hard to see herself succeeding in her passion as well as in her life, always pays extra attention of not to be like her father, who had chosen love over his career, which made him to regret later. So Ahana keeps herself distanced from Love.

Karan on the other hand, is an unselfish man, who longs for selfless love and care. Karan been born with silver spoon and brought up in a luxurious family background, he still lacks the love in his life. He strives hard to have a remarkable identity on his own, and heads towards his passion in film industry to be a director and film producer.

This is where the fate spins the game, Karan and Ahana meets and comes into a strong bong of friendship, but deep inside they knew that it's more than that but never confession it to each other.

• What happens when career crosses the paths with love ?
Karan's life is full of riches but still he is not happy, he longs for love. When he meets Ahana he falls in love with her.

• Will Ahana's career force her to forget her love ? Or will Karan's love keep him from pursuing a successful career?
Though Ahana has also developed a strong love over Karan, she has insecurities of not to take any descisions like her father, and to regret for it later. This made her to choose her career on top of Karan's confession of love to her, and flies to the states to pursue her dream job.

• Will Ahana and Karan get united ?

Aditya R. Nighhot has used simple terms and language, which makes the plot fast moving and the narration seems quite clear, that would make the reader not to drop the book in the midst of the story.

But one thing still remains unbearable that why did the author do this to the readers? Why did he do this to his readers, leaving them in heart wrenching state ? Damn I still couldn't get over the plot.

Title: "Will You Be My Wife" - A Captivating Journey of Love and Discovery

Book by Aditya Nighhot

Finished this book in single sitting really heart touching story.

"Will You Be My Wife" by Aditya Nighhot is a heartwarming tale that delves into the complexities of love, relationships, and the power of destiny. With its engaging narrative and relatable characters, the book takes readers on a rollercoaster ride filled with emotions, surprises, and self-discovery.

The story follows the life of the protagonist, Karan, a young man who is on a quest to find his soulmate. His journey begins with casual encounters and blossoms into a deep connection with a woman named Ahana. As their relationship evolves, the author brilliantly captures the joys and challenges of being in love.

One of the book's greatest strengths lies in Nighhot's ability to create vibrant and three-dimensional characters. Karan and Ahana are flawed yet endearing, and readers can't help but root for their love to conquer all obstacles. The author's attention to character development makes it easy to emotionally invest in their journey.

Furthermore, Nighhot's writing style is simple, yet evocative, allowing readers to vividly imagine the scenes and feel the characters' emotions. The pacing of the story is well-balanced, with tension building up at just the right moments to keep readers on the edge of their seats.

What sets "Will You Be My Wife" apart is the author's exploration of deeper themes. Through karan and Ahana’s relationship, Nighhot delves into the complexities of commitment, trust, and sacrifice. The story also touches on societal expectations and the power of following one's heart, offering valuable life lessons along the way.

However, there were a few instances where the plot felt predictable, and certain moments could have been further explored to add more depth to the story. Additionally, some readers may find certain aspects of the book to be slightly cliché, but the overall charm and emotional impact outweigh any minor flaws.

In conclusion, "Will You Be My Wife" is a captivating and delightful read that will resonate with readers who enjoy contemporary romance novels. Aditya Nighhot's storytelling prowess shines through, making this book a worthy addition to any romance enthusiast's collection. It's a tale that reminds us of the power of love, destiny, and the beauty of finding our perfect match.

⏩ Any love story that made you emotional.

💟 Tagged For Life by Aditya Nighhot is a read that is emotional, rollercoaster and filled with love.

💟 I have heard about this book for quite a long time, so yes, my expectations were high at the time of starting this book, and this book doesn't disappoint me at all.

💟 Before i go with the review, i really want to appriciate the simplicity of the author's writing because the simplicity made the book more beautiful as well as made the layers unfold according to its flow.

💟 The book revolves around Ahana and Karan completely belongs to different world.

💟 Karan being son of one of the most reputed and rich producers – where people around him treat him like a star, where having costly cars is ordinary thing.

💟 Ahana – coming from a middle-class family, published author of two books, but struggling with high ambitions, that neither matched with her parents.

💟 While Karan never wants to hqve the luxurious life, he has his own dream to get fame by himself. For Ahana, that life is like a dream.

💟 Both of them are off to new destination to archive their dream. Will their path cross? How will they become one ?

💟 The one thing I love about Ahana and Karan is, that both of them, despite of coming from a different world, have their own ambitions and guts to risk for their dream. That makes the connection the most.

💟 They both connect because of the passion towards their dream.

💟 While i was giggling with the love blossom, i was not expecting the ending at all. The ending really broke my heart.

💟 It was a simple story, if we looked at it, but this story taught me a lot of things that are lacking in these days in love-stories.

✅Pure Love
✅Sacrifice
✅Priority of other's well-being
✅Respecting your partner's passion and dream
✅Understanding and supporting their ambitions.

💟 While at some points I found Ahana a little bit of selfish or too practical, but at the end her character was executed well, to understand her point of view too.

💟 It also shades light on some real politics going in the film industry or in any industry.

💟 There are some dirty behind the scenes going, which I witnessed with the help of Ahana's character.

💟 Abhay's character was on point as supporting character for the story.

💟 Overall, love this one! If i want to start more of the romance genre, i would like to read more stories like this.

⭐️⭐️.5 Recently, I ordered this book, and after sharing several posts and reels about it, I’d like to share my thoughts.

Things I liked:

1. Short chapters
2. Understandable writing pattern, though not exceptional
3. Fresh thought process

Things I disliked:

1. The characters: I found the female character particularly unlikable. Her actions towards the end felt predictable and self-serving.
2. Aahana often acted in ways that felt unrealistic and irksome.
3. Karan seemed like a braggart, constantly trying to prove otherwise until about chapter 15 or 20.
4. Initially, I thought it would be a typical happy-ending love story, with characters from different states studying together.
5. Aahana appeared immature, especially given her age and life experiences.

Spoilers ahead:

The book lacked realism on several fronts:

1. Aahana is described as a bestselling author in both India and the US, as well as an assistant director of a major production company, yet she can’t afford a car or a TV. This seemed implausible.
2. Karan, a producer’s son and a producer himself, oddly resorts to taking paracetamol instead of his own medications when he’s very sick.
3. Aahana’s opportunistic behavior was off-putting. She took advantage of her friend Rahul and conveniently remembered him only when she needed help.
4. She didn’t try to reconnect with Karan after moving to the US, but suddenly fell deeply in love with him when she thought he could help her.
5. Karan was naive to believe in Aahana’s love, while Abhay, who seemed logical and smart, was portrayed negatively.
6. The story lacked a solid basis for why characters stopped communicating and what led them to reconnect.
7. The last few chapters were sensitive, but the book’s beginning was so drawn out that it lost its impact.
8. The author tried to present it as a real story from the Indian film industry, but it felt more like fiction.
9. The book seemed to forget that we live in a world dominated by social media. A bestselling author could easily use social media to seek justice rather than packing up and coming home. It was as if the author suddenly remembered this fact and added a poorly placed sentence: “I should have blocked him but just unfollowed him.”

After all this, I would say the book isn’t worth your time or money. However, you might want to explore other books by this author and let me know if they are worth reading.

The prologue begins in a luxurious way and it insists us to dive into the story straight away. The introduction of the two main protagonists was well done and impressive to delve into their lives. The beginning of the story with the characteristics expressed along with their introduction is really too good which will make the audience go deep into them. But once the story begins in the meeting of the two characters, the love and the chemistry between them is lagging as they are from two different aspects of life. The genuine feeling of Karan was easily understandable but it is not expressed or described realistically in words. The author might have considered the point to add still more emotional feelings around them to feel by the readers perfectly.

And the flow of the story goes on an average as their career begins. Though they are totally opposite characters, the author stands perfectly in the female protagonist character as she is always pursuing her dream in first priority. Likewise the author portrays the male protagonist in a strong way that he is always seeking for love as his mom left him soon and his dad's behavior and luxurious life.

The love emerges between them who are from two different backgrounds but at the same time that they are very clear in what they want in their life which is actually realistic and the emotions between the love and the career is easily understandable in a practical way that it is the actual reality in life. It's all practical that once we achieve what we like the most, then our emotions will come out to seek for the love part of what we really want in our life to live the remaining life. That is what happened in Ahana's life too. But at that time Karan's heart was broken for her decision which is actually true. When we please, it won't be accepted and when the other person pleases us, we won't accept it. That is what happened exactly in their life too.

Finally when all is on track, destiny does not favor. The emotional ride of both the two beautiful young people who wanted to shine in their career by their own way lost their real life. This is such a story of heart warming in the beginning and heart wrenching in the end.

This is a truly enjoyable love life story with easy vocabulary. The plot is average, the title is a perfect choice and the cover is designed nicely. The conversations, diary notes, inner feelings, poems, letters, and the regional language usage along with translations are an added value to the book to connect with the readers without any obstruction. The book looks rich both in appearance and also in storyline.

Recommended to have a light and refreshing read during a long journey to delve into the emotions of the characters. Happy reading !

Book : Tagged for Life: Will You Be My Wife?
Author : Aditya Nighhot

Well There's something about Aditya Nighhot’s novel you just can't keep calm unless you finish it. Is it because of beautiful writing style, or proper handling of emotions, or detailed characters or something else, I don't know. But it is intriguing for sure.

I used the holiday to read the book. Post lunch I picked up the book thinking I would finish one chapter and go off to sleep! The first chapter took me off my feet and I landed back only when I completed all of them by evening. It was a 6-hour roller-coaster ride of emotions. The characters are still ringing in my head! This story was almost like watching a movie. Every scene was running inside my mind. The author's writing skill was the obvious reason behind this.

I picked up a romantic novel after a long time as I was mostly engrossed with other genres. This book brought a smile to my face because of its sweetness and simplicity. Karan Malhotra and Ahana Mukherjee are here the protagonists of the book. This love story is a story between a rich man and a middle class girl. Karan Malhotra and Ahana Mukherjee are pursuing a film making course at FTII. While Karan belongs to a rich famous family, Ahana belongs to a middle class family. One thing is common in both of them that to do something big in life and prove themselves. During their stay at FTII, their friendship deepens and they secretly fall in love with each other. But their paths diverge when Ahana has to choose between love and career. Read on to know whether love will win over career or career will win over love.

Oh, what a book! If you just buy one book this year, make it this! It appears as if someone is sitting next to you and narrating these stories. Each of the characters are so strong that they bind you with their personalities, and force you to remember them long after you have read the stories. The Author has described each scene in the book in detail and with accuracy. He has used interesting words that portray the scene brilliantly. The Author has described everything perfectly. The language of the book is brilliant. Leave all specification just grab the book & give it a try.

Aditya Nighhot's poignant romance fiction "Tagged for Life'' circles around Karan and Ahana.
Karan Malhotra is the son of a director, and Ahana Mukherjee is an aspiring middle-class woman. Both want to be movie directors in Bollywood, so they decide to take courses in a renowned college where their paths cross. During this time, they become so fond of each other that a romance starts to bud between them.

However, their story takes several twists and turns, which leaves the reader in an uneasy state. For example, while reading it, I couldn’t help but criticise their decisions, as they seemed immature and irrational to me (in other words, I was completely engaged in the book while reading and it kept me hooked). Due to these decisions, they develop a communication gap. However, after some time they do look back, and regret their decisions wanting to start again. But would they be able to? Or is it too late?

Through Ahana and Karan, the book delves into the intricacies of romantic relationships, emphasizing the difficulties and compromises that may occur when professional and personal goals collide. Nighhot writes in a straightforward but captivating language with short chapters that move quickly, making it a fun book to read.

The character sketches may have been further expanded, adding to the overall complexity of the novel, as well as making it easier for the reader to connect with them. Especially, the story of Ahana’s dad, as it was deeply connected with Ahana’s life choices (which I don’t criticize BTW, only think that she should’ve handled the situation better).

However, the plot is solid and the novel succeeds in eliciting a wide spectrum of emotions, engrossing readers with its beautiful language and skilled storytelling.

Furthermore, the story deftly weaves together past and present, ending in a satisfying finale that ties all of the loose ends together.

In conclusion, "Tagged for Life" is a moving and interesting book about the complexities of love and the pursuit of aspirations. While it may not necessarily leave a lasting influence, it serves as an entertaining and sincere read, leaving readers with a feeling of warmth and contentment.

So, if you want a fast, simple, and romantic read, choose this one.

Thanks for reading <3

It is a heartwarming tale that delves into the lives of Karan Malhotra, the son of a famous filmmaker, and Ahana Mukherjee, a middle-class girl from Kolkata. Set against the backdrop of their time at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), this book takes readers on a journey of love, self-discovery, and the pursuit of dreams.

The story revolves around two individuals from contrasting backgrounds, each carrying their own set of dreams, aspirations, and beliefs. Ahana, an aspiring author, is struggling to find success in her writing career while harboring a deep-rooted opposition to the concept of love. On the other hand, Karan, despite his life of wealth and privilege, feels a void within himself and yearns for true happiness.

When Karan and Ahana cross paths at FTII, their lives take an unexpected turn. Despite their differences, a deep connection forms between them, and Karan finds himself falling head over heels in love with Ahana. Their journey together becomes a beautiful exploration of love, the pursuit of creative dreams, and the transformation of two souls who find solace in each other's presence.

Aditya Nighhot skillfully captures the essence of the characters, portraying their individual struggles, growth, and the evolution of their relationship with authenticity and depth. The emotional depth of the story allows readers to connect with the characters on a profound level, making their journey all the more captivating and relatable.

Tagged for Life is the story of Ahana Mukhrejee and Karan Malhotra who in a filmy fashion come from humble background and a rich family respectively. While Ahana comes from Kolkata, Karan Malhotra is born in a film family from the swanky city of mumbai. What binds them together is there determination to make a name for themselves on their own. While Ahana doesnt want to miss any opportunity, Karan on the other hand wants to make his name without his father’s money. They both cross paths in every filmmaker’s dream institution i.e. FTII. Ahana and Karan quickly develop a friendship and though to the world they are friends, deep down they felt while working and studying together there IS more, there CAN be more. But does love conquer all? Read Ahana and Karan’s story that takes you on an emotional ride and shows you a reality that you never want to see for people you truly love.

So Tagged For Life is a beautifully heartbreaking story because it talks about the curveballs life throws at you,the chances you get and the chances you miss and yet there is this feeling, this person that is tagging along knowingly or unknowingly. The book is written in simple language, the backstory of both the characters goes through the phases of teenage to adulthood where the author has also shown us the ugly side of bollywood which exists and who goes under the bus in the struggle of seeking justice.

There are places in the narrative that one wouldn’t understand why Karan is thinking like this and the emotional turmoil of both the characters and the way they express themselves is completely different.

The story starts from the young 18 year olds to 25 years old adults where the story ends in a place where the reader will be in a perplexed situation where to go from here but what made me keeps invested in the story and the characters is the beautiful confrontation, friendship, country, laws and the powerful that exist beyond the story of just Ahana and Karan.

A dramatic end which made you feel like you were in a movie and also a new author for me that was enjoyable. Those who have started reading romance, should definitely go for it.

"Tagged for Life" by Aditya Nighot is a captivating tale that seamlessly weaves the romantic journey of Karan and Ahana. The story opens with Ahana's attention-grabbing introduction in her first class, setting the stage for a Bollywood-style romance that embraces both the predictable and the heartwarming.

In the tradition of renowned authors like Chetan Bhagat and Durjoy Datta, Nighot skillfully brings to life the emotional intricacies of love and ambition. The narrative unfolds in a familiar yet endearing manner, reminiscent of the captivating narratives these authors are known for. The ease with which the story progresses allows readers to connect with the characters on a profound level.

The inclusion of Hindi shayaris adds a delightful Desi Romance feel to the novel, infusing emotional depth into pivotal moments. These poetic interludes elevate the narrative, offering readers a window into the characters' souls.

Karan and Ahana, hailing from different backgrounds, embody the essence of Bollywood romance. Karan's journey, as the son of a popular film producer, mirrors the struggle to carve his own identity, reminiscent of the relatable characters in Durjoy Datta's novels. Meanwhile, Ahana's rejection of societal norms and her commitment to her career path draw parallels with the strong, career-oriented heroines found in both Bhagat and Datta's stories.

The beauty of "Tagged for Life" lies in its simplicity, carefully balancing predictability with the genuine turmoils and folds of a love story. The characters, much like those in Bhagat and Datta's creations, are multifaceted, leaving readers torn between resonating with Karan's aspirations and becoming steadfast supporters of Ahana's journey.

In conclusion, "Tagged for Life" not only offers a delightful Desi Romance experience but also stands as a testament to the emotional and practical complexities of love and ambition. Aditya Nighot's storytelling prowess, reminiscent of the greats in Indian contemporary literature, ensures that this novel is not just a read but a heartfelt exploration of the human experience.

The blurb initially set the stage for what seemed like a classic Bollywood movie plot. Karan Malhotra, the son of a renowned filmmaker, encounters Ahana Mukherjee, a determined middle-class girl with aspirations of independence and success. Ahana's skepticism towards love contrasts sharply with Karan's upbringing, where he yearns for affection in the midst of opulence, owning luxurious sports cars that others can only dream of.

Yet, the narrative transcends these apparent stereotypes. As I delved into the story, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the seamless progression. Starting off, I barely noticed when I had breezed through 10 chapters. Soon enough, I was compelled to finish the entire book in one uninterrupted reading session. The pacing was impeccable, leaving me with a sense of satisfaction and immersion that I hadn't expected.

The characters emerged as the heart of the tale, each exquisitely portrayed in accordance with the demands of the narrative. Their personalities felt real, and I appreciated how their interactions were devoid of cheesy or repetitive dialogues that often plague romance novels. Instead, the dialogues were refreshing, lending authenticity to the emotions and relationships within the story.

What struck me most was the crisp and efficient storytelling. The narrative flowed effortlessly, a testament to skilled editing that maintained the book's momentum. This made the reading experience incredibly smooth and engaging, keeping me hooked from start to finish. The author's ability to tell a compelling story in a succinct yet impactful manner deserves applause.

Without a doubt, Aditya Nighhot shines as a premier romance author with an impressive roster of bestsellers. The narrative's allure, coupled with the author's lucid and accessible style, ensured that the book was nearly impossible to set aside. To fellow enthusiasts of the romance genre, I wholeheartedly recommend this book. Aditya Nighhot is undoubtedly a writer worth adding to your auto-buy list, a reliable source of heartwarming stories that captivate and resonate.

Tagged for Life by Aditya Nighot is a quintessential Filmy romance novel ! The story revolves around Karan and Ahana who take admission in the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). The story initiates with the curtain raiser catchy introduction Ahana gives in her first class which evidently grasps the attention of Karan. To know whethere they will finally be together? You’ll have to read the book..!

My Thoughts:

This book was a money for jam read. The story meanders around the charecter in a filmy manner, predictable yet nice. Writen in a very ' easy to understand ' style, the story is something romance readers will enjoy.

If I say the story and progression felt filmy, it would be giving vague idea. Calling it Bollywood romance style may deliver a clear idea! Catchy intro grabbing the guy's attention, the guy wanting to be friends, eventually falling in love. Some predictable yet relatable misunderstandings, all to gether a very engaging story.

One thing that's absolutely impressive includes some poetry mentioned in certain episodes. These are Hindi shayaris that adds a special Desi Romance feel.

Karan is a North Indian falling for a Bengali girl Ahana Mukherjee is predictably Bollywood hint. The BBA graduate Ahana is a sci-fi writer who's very much someone everyone wants to be with. So careerist bengali beauty rejected nearly rejected 49 men. She is from a middle class background while Karan is a popular film producer's son. One thing that's nice about this charecter is looking for creating a name for himself and not grabbing the opportunities laid in front of him.

Basically one thing that deserves specially mention is that one cannot be inclined towards one of the characters. In one episode I could resonate with Karan's vibe. While couldn't help becoming a stubborn supporter of Ahana on the other.

The simplicity of the story is amazing. There's predictability but balanced really well with turmoils and folds of the story. Over all a good Desi Romance.

Tagged For Life…Will you be my wife?
-Aditya Nighhot
“Are you sure that all dreams come true?” She questioned me.
“Most of them come true if wished in the proper way.” I replied.
Tagged for life..will you be my wife is a love story …yes a Romance novel by Aditya Nighhot. I had never read anything by him but the title of this book, theses cheesy titles bring back a memory for me that everything is fun and light, it takes me to that time of my life when I used to read Durjoy Datta and Sachin Garg and the likes one after the other. So this title grabbed my eye and also the Blurb was interesting too.
This one portrays the very Bollywood essence of a love story right from the beginning till the end. The elements? Trying to shatter Patriarchy with a strong female character, street food competitions, college romance and projects, supportive best friends, rich and middle class conflict and my favorite- Airport scene. I read this one in a whiff with bollywood songs in background and it took me time less than I take in finishing a web series TBH so you should also give this one a try if you crave some light romance.
It gets predictable more times than I wished it to but that comes to someone who reads a lot anyway. It also gets emotional at the end and there’s no Happily Ever After and I somehow like it. I like how the end changed my perception of this book as the end approached, the perception I had been holding since the start.
One suggestion would be to use Character names whose POV was being shared at the top of chapters as it often got me confused and I would only know whose side of the story was I engrossed in after I had read a full page. And for finals words…it took me back to my college days and would do that to you too, the storyline of characters over the years took me to adulting years as well and so this one makes it a whole experience keeping it simple and relatable.

The book is a heart-wrenching love story of a middle-class girl, Ahana, who's a published author and dreams of becoming a good storyteller instead of categorizing herself as as a screenwriter or director, and a boy, Karan, who was born with a "silver spoon in his mouth" who wants to direct a film on his own without the financial support and the connections his father has in the industry, owning a production house himself. As luck would have it, both of them cleared the exam of FTII after two unsuccessful attempts. Initially, Ahana thought Karan to be a spoilt brat but her views changed after they started talking; on the other hand, Karan was impressed by Ahana after hearing her introduction on the first day in class. Gradually, both became each others' biggest supporters and cheerleaders. Ahana always lived a simple life and preferred streetside food over 5-star restaurants. Karan realized that happiness can be found even in the simplest of things.
But Ahana has rejected 49 boys before? Will Karan be the 50th? What will Ahana choose -career or love or is there a way to choose both? Or will ego come in between to take a toll and turn the tables of right and wrong?
The writing style is pretty good with simple language yet a gripping narrative. It presents to us both Ahana's and Karan's point of views in forms of short chapters, showcasing the emotions of both of them and building a better connection with the audience. The characters are well-written and realistic. The story keeps you hooked till the last word and stays on your mind even longer. The story is bound to make you emotional at certain sections and might even make you cry as well. The author has included 'shayaris' in Hindi, along with the translation in English, at certain sections which makes it more relatable to an Indian audience.
I really loved the book and would recommend it to everyone as well -it's a beautiful love story showcasing the difficulties one has to face in the path of love.

"Sometimes Love can happen at the first instance, one need not spend ages to get connected"
Karan, son of a famous fim producer meets an ambitious middle-class girl, Ahana. How they meet is in an interesting topic to talk about.
Inspite of having strong connections in Bollywood, Karan applies for admission in FTII Pune and gets it after his third attempt. On the other hand Ahana is also trying to get admission there as she always regrets the way her father left his sure shot job in US, just to be with his love.
They both get the admission at the same time even in the same course. Although their initial meet irks Ahana a lot as she had this perception of Karan being exhibitionist.
But somehow they get along and transform their relation into a lovely friendship, which somehow transforms into love by the end of course completion.
Then comes the intense part of the story, its farwell day and they(Karan and Ahana) both have something to tell each other.
And when they express it, their lives changes upside-down.
Should Ahana choose what she have decided for herself?
How Karan is gonna get affected by Ahana's decision?
Was Ahana able to comprehend what Karan just said?
There are several questions and those all are answered through the turn of events in this lovely story.

Verdict:
Although I'm not a romance fiction reader, but when i started reading this one then started getting interested as the story is quite captivating.
Characters are portrayed beautifully, with apt info provided realted to each character. And author have done complete justice with story, portrayal of characters and all the other elements related to it.
What really made me teary was the ending as i could relate with the characters emotionally. Its a must read of 2023 if you are looking for a romance read.

The story of Karan and Ahana in this book is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, with many ups and downs, twists and turns, and moments of separation and reunion. The author did an excellent job of crafting a well-written and engaging story that keeps readers hooked from beginning to end.

Karan, son of a film producer, and Ahana, from a middle-class family in Kolkata with a father who owns a website design and marketing business, are both ambitious and share a common goal of wanting to take admission in FTII located in Pune. Despite their different backgrounds, they share a deep connection and love for each other.

Ahana, a published author who has experienced the failure of three consecutive novels, writes on science fiction, and does not believe in love. Her skepticism towards love and the constant support of her friend Rahul add a unique dimension to the story. Ahana's decision to prioritize her career over her love life is understandable, as many people believe that having a successful career is crucial to their happiness and overall well-being.

On the other hand, Karan's best friend Abhay stands by him through thick and thin. The author does an excellent job of creating a well-rounded cast of characters that adds depth and complexity to the story.

The story takes the reader through a series of highs and lows, with moments of happiness and despair, as Karan and Ahana's relationship is put to the test. They reunite after a separation, but the reunion is short-lived, and they must part ways forever.

All-in-all, the writing style of the author is on point, and the story is well-crafted, making it a compelling read. The love story of Karan and Ahana is a beautiful and heart-wrenching tale that will leave a lasting impression on readers. If you're a fan of love stories, then this book is definitely worth a read.

Q: what comes to your mind when you think of the word True Love?

I'm sure many have different perspective of what exactly is true love. Some believe in it. Some probably doesn't. Me? I used to not believe in the idea of Love altogether. Not until, I fell in love.

And this books talk exactly about that kind of love. The first love. The love that makes you want to change. For better or for worse, is upto for you to decide.
Karan and Ahana met in the most typical circumstances. That first love many of us meet in college. They both have their own goals, their own certain expectations from life. But when they fell in love with eachother, it was beautiful experience to read about.
But things doesn't always goes our way, does it? I can see where Ahana was coming from. Not really telling Karan about how she really feels for him and suffering on her own. And I can also understand how devastating it must have been for Karan to let goof the love he desperately wanted to have. But that's life, isn't it?
The story was not very complex or something rocket science. It was in very easy language (if you are new into reading) and if you like light hearted romance story. It was very fast paced with not that much of character development if you ask my opinion. But I guess that's how it was supposed to be. Not all love stories are supposed to be intense or to have teach us something. It's just that. A live story.
If you are looking for something like light reading, I'll surely suggest this book to you. Do Ahana and Karan finally ends up together? That is for you to find out on your own after giving this books a shot.
