BRIEF SUMMARY
Arcada is a slave on the planet of Ecryon. She has been Terenth's slave for twelve years on this planet. Terenth is the prince on Ecryon; when Arcada displeases him, he sends her to another planet as punishment. While Arcada is away, Terenth is being forced to marry by his father to someone he doesn't want. He needs to find Arcada because he has come to see her as more than a slave.

THOUGHTS
This was enjoyable as well as a little different. The book preview does not do this book justice. The book was packed with action with a good plot that kept your interested until the end. While the story is about Acrada and Terenth, the author gave us three different story lines that were all connected and blended well together. We also got characters like Zacrius, Seneca, and Seraph that added more spice to the read. Arcada was definitely a strong female, while Terenth was a strong Alpha male. This isn't your typical romance novel of boy meets girl; it surely had romance but I personally think it was added with a twist for readers. Everything about this book for me was done differently and that's what made it exciting and entertaining to read. Lets just say the love was spread around in this book and it was done in a very pleasing way. This was a good and detailed story. The book contains explicit sex, and may be a bit harsh for some that could or may find the read offensive. Once given the opportunity as a read I think the reader would love this story.

I definitely think if you are a reader who takes risk and is very adventurous with reading, this book will not disappoint. 4.5 stars for me but very close to a 5.

Story: GOOD
Intimacy: VERY GOOD

I'm between a 2 and 3 star rating on this book. I'd like to give the author kudos for writing a story that is rather unique, but, unfortunately, most of the uniqueness just didn't work for me.

To begin with there is a distinct feeling of being dropped in the middle of a story, although that feeling dissipates eventually, as the action starts. The story is fairly simple, Arcada is a slave who is being punished. She is sent to Earth, at a time somewhat like the Roman Empire, to complete a life threatening task. As the story progresses the reader is reminded that Arcada's life is in true danger, but I never felt that to be the case. The world she comes from gives her several rather convenient abilities and technological advances, that are alternately unavailable during the game, or used in the nick of time.

There were several humorous moments which I did like, the character of Seneca is involved in most of them. Seneca is Arcada's task and she is quite a refreshing change from the usual virgin captive. I'd best leave it at that and hope I haven't already spoiled anything. :)

In my opinion, the worst parts were the sex scenes - yes, I thought that was rather sad too, as it's an erotic sci/fi romance. The writing is so overwrought, the euphemisms used so cringe worthy (his enormous golden pole of velvet-wrapped iron, one of my favorites), that the sex scenes were more reminiscent of painful athletic events than arousing - at least for me. My reaction was generally several eyerolls and numerous "yeouch!"ies, I'm afraid.

I guess I liked this story well enough but it's by no means a masterpiece. I liked Arcada but I have a hard time understanding her "knee shaking, near passing out everytime I see him" relationship to Terenth. That is probably because even though they are the primary couple in this story we don't really see them together very much. We get a couple of flashbacks but until the very end of the story we don't really see them even have a conversation together. It's hard to understand their undying love for each other when they aren't together in the story. So, like I said I thought the book was decent but I didn't fully buy the relationship.

Arcada is a slave on ecryon she refuses to marry her master and lover terenth the future king of ecryon. As punishment brands her to earth to complete this task nothing specific just who ever is in charge of the planet or place she is gives her a task that she must fulfill then she can go back home. Terenth is the future king of ecryon he is being forced to marry a women he doesn't love so he goes to earth to find his slave that he has asked to marry him several times her punishment for saying no was being sent to earth. Will arcada fulfill her task? Will terenth get to arcada before he is to wed? Can he convince arcada to marry him? To answer these questions and more I strongly suggest buying the book. I love this book. I can't wait for the next book to come out. 5 gold stars.

I liked Arcada and Terenth's story. I liked how Arcada was definitely a strong woman (a warrior), but that she was a also a submissive to Terenth's supreme dominance.
The world building in this story was interesting and the relationships intricate.
I struggled with the head hopping and wished for some more dialog and showing.
I'd like to read the accompanying short story about how these two characters met.
I'd also like to read a story about secondary character Jaxx.

3.5 stars. Kick a** heroine. I almost wish she had stayed with Zacrius. Seneca should have ended up with Seraph - oh well. I had a few problems with the Hero. I did not fully understand why he sent her into these situations except that he was spoiled and selfish. He followed her on the last trial/game/punishment because he loved her but wouldn't admit it.

I thought it was okay. I wanted to finish it to see how it ended. I liked the strong heroine.

It has plot, so it gets 3 instead of 2 stars. Otherwise, eh. It's average smut.
