I get that it’s a textbook, so it won’t be light, riveting reading. At the same time, in my humble opinion, a textbook’s one job is to explain concepts in a way that you can understand and learn them.
That being said, this was an extremely poorly written textbook. I’m not sure if it’s just poorly translated (assuming it could be translated, even if only from the author’s notes) or if it’s the fault of the author himself, but I read every page several times before I could understand it (and sometimes even only in part).
Grateful to have a wealth of lecture notes and slides to study from to supplement where this textbook feel short.
