Such a dissappointment. As a fellow ASU alum who loves local fiction, I couldn't believe how irritating these stories were. They strike me as full of very basic characters, with an expectation that people will read and go "oooooohhhhh, so deep! So provoking!" even though there's nothing truly there. Two and a half stories in, I just couldn't waste another minute on this garbage when I have a bookshelf full of promise to explore. Next.

I'm not finished this book yet but I'm giving it five stars already (will come back for a proper review later). This guy can write.
