What happens when a hunter becomes the hunted?
Suzy and her daughter are on a bus, heading for London and safety. She knows her partner will be hunting them down. It's what he does for a living. He hunts people. This is a good start for the second book in the Preacher series. There are three action streams from the beginning that are sure to cross paths in the future. The reader will not be disappointed.
Even through there is a quagmire of violence and ill intent, seeping through this writing, there is a balance of hope pushing through the cracks created by the Preacher.
All the streams come together, some for the better and some for the worse. The Preacher is always there when needed. His body is his weapon, his mind is hope for others.
It is frightening to know that evil like this exists in the world. It is comforting to know that there are those who will stand up for the weaker.
This number two in this series is better than the first. Congratulations Mr Burrows for a job well done. GR readers … this is your chance to read some very worthwhile material while riding the roller coaster of excitement. Enjoy the ride.

I am really enjoying this series. The story is edgy and held my interest. I am slightly disappointed the author chose not to allow the reader to know what started the main character on what is called a vigilante journey. Otherwise another great book by Nathan Burrows.

The Preacher series book 2
I absolutely Love this series. Caleb is traveling on a bus, but some robbers knock
Out the driver and procede to rob the travelers on the bus. A mother and daughter on the bus are running from a very evil man. Caleb helps the Mother and little girl, but hiding from someone thats connected to law enforcement is difficult.
The author does a great job writing about characters that i want to punch in the throat.

The Preacher returns, this time in England.
4 action-packed stars. ***Mild spoilers!***
Caleb ("The Preacher" from book 1) has a new mission. In this book he lands in England to carry out God's justice, even though he has no idea what his target is or where. A random bus robbery (a bus he and a woman and young child are also on), inadvertently delivers Caleb his mission.
But soon, the antagonist, Vincent, who works for the British Secret Service and has innumerable technical and human resources at his beck and call, is determinedly on the trail of the three escapees of the bus robbery. He needs the girl to complete his main source of income...human trafficking.
Along the way, everyone Caleb receives assistance from ends up dead. He soon catches the interest of the police. In custody, he meets Naomi, a solicitor (lawyer) who manages to have Caleb released for lack of evidence.
Together, they begin to search for the little girl, who Vincent has by now delivered to her new "parents" after finding and killing her mother and the manager of the shelter she was being housed before being moved to another safe house further away.
With plenty of action, danger and Caleb's tactical skills, the chase is on to find the girl.
I could not give this book a higher rating due to numerous editing errors, mainly punctuation mistakes. Plus with the plot set in England, many words and phrases were unfamiliar to me which made some areas of the story difficult to understand. A glossary in the back, plus a map where the story primarily occurred, would have assisted immensely! (For future reference, Mr. Burrows.)
The dialogue was heavily British, except for Caleb's Texan vibe. The world building was very sharp, particularly the Estate where a majority of the story occurs. But unfortunately, editing brought the flow of this read down heavily.
And soon, it's on the book three!!

So, you know how you see those warning signs in amusement parks that say don't ride this ride if you have heart issues, back problems, or are pregnant, etc.? Well, this book should carry the same type of warning except - be sure your heart and/or blood pressure medications are up to date before beginning this book. I'm telling you, this is one more intense, captivating, crazy, thrilling ride of a read! There are all types of characters here: ones you really like from the beginning; the ones that seem to be really 'bad guys' but turn out to be 'good guys' in the end, and then there's the 'bad guy' who's so bad he gives bad guys a bad name. That's Vince in this story. It is really a good thing he is a fictional character or I might find myself out looking for him! The action is fast-paced, almost to the point of leaving the reader breathless at times, extremely intense, and non-stop.
If you haven't read the Preacher series I highly recommend you fix that deficit in your life. But be sure you have a block of time set out for reading because you aren't going to want to stop once you start.

The second book in the preacher series starts out with a bus robbery and connects multiple people in a difficult situation: A woman with her daughter running away from evil, a teenage boy who is robbing the bus to prove his worth to be initiated in a gang, a young solicitor who even though has so many talents needs protection from an ex-lover, and of course our hero, The Preacher, who is directed by God to be at the right place at the right time. The story is very intriguing and the characters are well developed, however the action in this story is lacking some of the panache that was in the debut. The author is trying to give a different twist to the Jack Reacher books, but those shoes are hard to fill.

I actually liked this one better than the first. The mysterious intrigue of Caleb's past really heightens the suspense. The more I get to know him, the more I want to know what happened to him...the events and experiences, as a child and a young soldier, that resulted in the controlled, unassuming killing machine he's become.
I'm entertained by the fact the he's a Christian Mac...with women throwing themselves at him wherever he goes...and as a consummate gentleman, he's loathed to refuse them...!
I'm looking forward to getting into Book 3 and as compelling the first two were with good character development, I hope the stories don't become too formulaic.
Overall, a good start to a promising series.

What a great followup to The Preacher. Caleb is such an intriguing character, absolutely facinating. A traveller who goes where his faith takes him, knowing that there is a job to do before he can move on. Someone needs his help, and so he goes not knowing what or who he will encounter. I so very much enjoyed this book, just as much as its predecessor ... The Preacher. Wonderful , wonderful story telling. So hard to wait for book 3 (there cannot NOT be a book 3)

Very realistic and interesting characters. Fast-paced plot that kept me thoroughly engaged throughout. Suspenseful and thrilling! Enjoyed every page of it!

This second book is even better than the first!
Nathan Burrows is my new favorite author! I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in The Preacher series and book two is even better! This book kept me reading long into the night. I literally couldn’t put it down!

Caleb, No Last Name Required….
Because he’s known as “The Preacher”.
Another very good read! Caleb follows a young lady and her daughter, as they flee a bus that has been robbed, because having the police find them was more dangerous than the unknown.
Where did they go? What was their plan? A great read to find out, another “well done” by Nathan Burrows!

My second of this series to read and while I enjoyed it, I found it dragged a little more than the first one. There is a good storyline and plot but I found the pace at times a little slow. However I am enjoying the series and will continue.

Caleb, the preacher, is traveling on a bus. He helps Suzy and Leanne escape a pedophile. Caleb says he was put there by God to help people in trouble. I was so sorry that so many innocent people were killed. Caleb was the hammer of Injustice. I hope to find what happened to Leon.

Another good read...
Caleb is an interesting character. I like the way the author keeps the reader guessing as to who Caleb is. I am anxious to find out about his history. This tactic makes these novels easy reads with enough suspense and mystery to keep the reader engaged.

Book 2 Perfection
Just like the first book, this one held my attention completely all the way through. The characters were great. I couldn't help but wonder, though, if a person with that much security knowledge would be able to do what Vince did so freely.

Very easy to read and follow. Tells the exacting story of Suzy and Leanne trying to escape the thresh hold of Vince. Hard to put down once I started reading. Very interesting series centered around Caleb, The Preacher.

In a continuation of the first book in the series, the mysterious Caleb becomes entangled in the lives of a woman and her daughter. As the ladies run away from a controlling and abusive Secret Service agent, there is high danger when the man’s real motives are revealed.
