I have never heard of Kirsten McMurran but going through a stage of downloading free books, the synopsis of Stormbound: Seduced by the Neighbours and that it involved a threesome…seemed pretty good to me.
It’s a short read…I think it took me half an hour to finish it…I would have liked to know what would happen after the big seduction.
The story is about Connie, divorced and going thru a crisis of some sort who goes to her neighbours house , even though she doesn’t know the couple well, when a heavy storm blows out all the lights in her home.
Within a short time, Connie is being seduced by Pilar, the young and sexy, gorgeous wife whilst Hunter, the husband is getting the drinks. The love scene is pretty awesome, erotic, hot and steamy between the two women and gets even hotter when the husband joins them. It’s a really hot fantasy.
I thought that the story could have been longer…..wanted to find out where it would go next. Would they continue with the relationship or not?
But for a short story it certainly keep me turning the pages for more. I am also going to find more books from this author…checking out reviews of them soon.

Kirsten McCurran, Stormbound: Seduced by the Neighbors (Aphrodite Omnimedia, 2011)
I was going to start off this review by saying I had no idea what it was about Kirsten McCurran that caused me to download so much of her stuff with my last Amazon GC without knowing a thing about it, but I do know. There are some names that, to me, are just inherently sexy. Tara. Heather. Monica. Kirsten. You own one of those names and I'm already half in the bag before I know anything else about you. And yes, I know that every porn merchant in America from the coming of the pilgrims until today is using, has used, and will use in the future, a pen name. But I don't care. It's still Kirsten, and I still downloaded.
[note: yes, this DOES cause some discomfort when I'm watching Hellraiser.]
That aside, how's the story? I may be inclined, given the first paragraph, to allow this author a touch more leeway when reading, but I think even objectively this is a touch better than the majority of the Kindle porn I've consumed over the past month or so; the characters are closer to three-dimensional, if not all the way there, and some of the situations into which McCurran puts them are kind of inventive (and McCurran is a good enough writer to paint those situations well). Sure, the hot, sweaty monkey sex is nice, but this story is closer to a balance between the sex and the characters (though there is only the thinnest of plots as an excuse to get protagonist into the house of horny neighbors, but given the brevity of the story, do you need more?), and I like that. These characters are more than collections of measurements, and even were that the only thing distinguishing this story from others, it would be head and shoulders above the pack. But as I said, McCurran is also capable of writing a solid sentence, and that is a rare thing in porn, especially Kindle porn, as well. Looking forward to reading a novel-length piece. (Yes, I downloaded one of those, too, just haven't gotten 'round to it yet.) ***

I enjoyed this book, but it was very short. Glad it was free or I would've been upset. The author does a good enough job of setting up the characters so you don't question why things are happening. Pretty steamy. Left me wanting more!

A very sexy read, but far too short in my view. As Connie gets involved sexually with a married couple, it would have been preferrable to better understand the perspective of the married couple, not just Connie. The sex is very hot but the ending was rushed.

Connie is divorced, her kids are with the ex for the weekend, and she heads over to Hunter and Pilar’s house to have company when a storm from a weakening hurricane drenches the neighborhood. Thus we have “Stormbound: Seduced by the Neighbors” a title that makes promises, and Kirsten McCurran delivers on the subtitle. She wonderfully builds on the sexual tension. McCurran is one the erotica writers who ground her stories in everyday detail to create the illusion that these kinds of adventures can and do happen. Of course, the sex is more inventive and extended than such an encounter might actually be, but that’s why it’s classified as erotica. As wonderful and exciting as the storytelling is, I do have one quibble. When the naïve Connie falls into the adventure, I wish there had been some time spent to deepen her character at this point. Is there hesitation to do something new? Is she discovering this new capacity to accept adventure as it comes (and I don’t mean just sexual adventure)? Or has she always been this adventurous until 14 years of marriage took away those opportunities. Except for that one moment when I wish she’d slowed things down, McCurran has written an involving erotic story. She’s fast becoming my favorite writer in the genre.

This was an extremely hot story that was written really well! I was surprised how much Ms. McCurran was able to pack into such a small package!

A dangerous storm, all alone in a big house, and neighbors who have wanted to do you for awhile ... what more does a single mom need to get some much needed action? That is the "plot" of this short story. The idea is good, but it seems to be taken way over the top. The woman on woman portion was well written as you felt one woman's passion while also sensing the other's hesitation. Once they both let go, it is very sexy encounter.
However I felt the story lost something when the husband called his neighbor a MILF and a cougar while wanting to have sex with her in front of his wife. While I usually prefer the stories to have a little dialogue as well as the sex....this conversation would have been better left unsaid. The ending seemed rushed as well...maybe more about the feelings that had to be running in the neighbor's mind?
Not a bad read, the sex scenes are scorching and it is a good fantasy read. I just would have liked some better dialogue, especially from the man, to complete the story. Three and a half stars.

They get into some steamy lesbian sex which Connie was unsure what to do. Hunter had his own plans of rocking this housewife world, along with encouraging comments from Pilar Connie had the best sex of her life thanks to her sexy neighbors. Good book I thoroughly enjoyed this reading.

I was pleased by the story. A bit contrived at the start, even I would have put on a raincoat or even a plastic bag to venture out into the driving rain. That said, once the lights went out the story took off. I enjoyed it as a quick read. I think I might have enjoyed more of her feelings about making it with a woman for the first time, but overall I would recommend this as a quick fix for what ails you.

Not much to say. Pretty meh. Very quick read that gets right to the point. A few grammatical errors that pulled me out of the story as I had to reread a few sentences a couple of times. Reads like a letter to Penthouse if that's what you're looking for.

kinda rushed and there were a few too convenient plot elements. I didnt care for some of the descriptive words used. But this book didnt make me want to gouge my eyes out or forsake erotica for the rest of my life.

This was a free short story and it was pretty good compared to most of the freebies especially the erotica ones. If I come across something longer from this author in the freebies I will definitly give it a read but it will take more than this to convince me to buy something though.

Mmm hot! This is one of my favorite fantasies and Kirsten writes it so well, no corny porn cliches here. I bet she has fun writing it. I bet she identifies with one of the female characters, Connie I think. I bet Kirsten enjoys the same kind of fantasies I do.
