I never said I was engaged to Alex Stone (a.k.a., the richest man in Eureka)… My douchey ex just assumed I was, and I didn’t correct him.
You see, I was having a moment. I was out of work, out of money, and Alex had just offered me a lifeline by hiring me to be his live-in nanny for a month.
So when Drake the douche started going on about what a hot mess I am at my best friend’s wedding, I kind of let him believe we were a thing. I never said the word fiancé, and I definitely never expected Alex to play along.
Alex Stone is one of those list-topping, billionaire businessmen-types. He’s controlled, formal, and never makes a bad decision. He’s also tall, dark, and brutally handsome, with smokey hazel eyes, wavy brown hair, and a bod that will melt your brain. (A detail I happen to know after accidentally catching him just out of the shower naked.)
The plan is he’ll secretly be my fake fiancé for the night, no harm done. But when the douche stays longer than the wedding, our “engagement” stops being a secret. And when Alex decides there are things we should know how to do if we’re engaged, like making out and sleeping together, my lie really gets out of control.
Because it’s one thing to be fake-engaged to the hottest, richest man in town, who also happens to be your live-in boss. It’s a little twist to find yourself falling in love with him.
(A LITTLE TWIST is a steamy small-town, single-dad/nanny romance with a fake engagement twist. No cheating. No cliffhangers.)

"Pop used to say everything happens in its time. I think he was talking about bourbon, but it fits." From the first time I read the previous book, A Little Taste, I said Alex would be my favorite. And I was right. Step right up if you’re looking for the small-town, he-falls-first, hero-pining-for-the-heroine, swooniest experience! I can assure you it’s totally worth it.
"It’s freakin’ Alex Stone. He’s the most controlled, distant, reserved of the Stone brothers. We are nothing alike." Alex should come as an example of swoony in Merriam-Webster. He’s the billionaire workaholic single dad, focused on keeping his family’s distillery working to make his grandpa proud. He likes to be in control and weigh his options and the pros and cons. Except for one thing—one person, really—Cassidy Dixon.
"The yellow lights cast a soft glow over her skin, and for a moment, I’m that fifteen-year-old boy, struck by her beauty and at a loss for words." Cassidy is the perfect balance between strong and sensitive. She’s been through so much in her life, and she doesn’t know where to go next because she’s afraid that following her dreams will have disastrous consequences. So she feels like she’s stuck… but not for long.
They’re opposites, and yet… they’re perfect.
"I have no reason to hold her, and I don’t want to be her friend. I never have. I want so much more." Alex and Cassidy have history. He was her first kiss, she was the first woman he ever saw naked. She thought he didn’t like her back then, he’s been trying to forget about her ever since. She’s sure he’d never go for someone like her… and he’s wondering how he can be the person she would want in her life. He’s been wondering that for a while now.
"I'm worried about my frosting. You're watching it like a hungry predator about to pounce." "What makes you think I'm watching your frosting? After seeing him naked for the first time (wowza!), the wedding between his brother and her best friend only pushes them closer together. Not only is she helping plan it at his distillery, but she’s also baking the wedding cake. They become closer, and the tension between them is through the roof. And then her ex shows up, assumes they’re together, and well, she doesn’t contradict that.
"I’m not your friend, because when it comes to us, the friend zone is not my lane." Of course Alex could just refuse to be part of this fake engagement scenario, but he sees two things: one, that her ex is an asshole (irrefutable) who never deserved her, and two, that this may be his chance to get closer to the one woman who’s taken up space in his mind since he was only fifteen. And let me tell you—he plans to make up for lost time.
"I have to have you." Besides pretending to be her fake fiancé, Alex also needs her to be Pinky’s nanny for a month. This will entail her living at his house with them, and that’s when the lines don’t only get blurry—they get totally pushed aside. What lines? There’s a chemistry that comes from years of pining, of longing that can no longer be denied, and I’m telling you—you’ll be there for all of it.
"One slim arm circles my waist, and I swear, I could hold her like this forever. I could never let her go." They’re amazing together. It’s not only the physical aspect (which is obviously hot!) but everything else. The way she is with Pinky—how she cares for her, sings to her, makes her feel loved and cherished—comes from years of neglect Cass herself has suffered, and she won’t allow this little girl to go through that. And soon she’s won the hearts of both father and daughter—and yours too.
Even when Pinky’s mom comes back, no one can take the place of "Mama Cass". Ever.
“"Dammit, Cass, the only message I ever want you to receive is you belong with me." For all his swoony ways, something happens in the story that broke me and made me want to throttle Alex. There was a specific moment where Cass was so relatable that I wanted to reach out and enter the book to tell her to slash his tires, tell him to fuck off, and move on. But then… damn it, Alex makes it hard to hold on to a grudge.
"You’re everything to me. You’re the wind and the sea when I’m the rocks and the sand. You’re the calm, the soothing. You quiet the storm and make me whole. You’re the song in my head I never want to stop hearing." You get the small-town vibes and the whole Stone family. You get Cass’ friends—and I love them together so much. You get banter and hilarious bumper stickers. And you get the usual Tia Louise steam, but it came out more emotional for me this time. Maybe because you know there are feelings there from the get-go.
"Thank you for loving me," I once read somewhere that saying “I love you” is easy, but thanking someone for loving you is not. It means acknowledging that someone loves you fully and doesn’t care—or welcomes—whatever shortcomings you have. That you’re worthy of being loved. And that's the ultimate twist.
I had so much fun with the banter between Cass and Alex. Every interaction was laced with underlying passion just waiting for the moment to boil up and over. With every turn of the page I fell harder in love with this couple.
The fake engagement hooked me but Pinky reeled me in. This author always writes children characters that win me over but Pinky is definitely my top favorite. While she stole every scene she was written into, her character highlighted some of the great qualities of both Cass and Alex.
Overall, this is a feel good story that's relatively low on angst but off the charts with steam. This is the perfect "sit back and just let the story carry you away" read.

really cute single dad x nanny, small town, fake engagement romance.
cass kind of floats from job to job so when she runs into her ex at a wedding, she wishes she had something more substantial to say she’s done with her life. luckily, he thinks she’s engaged to alex, a billionaire single dad, and she goes along with it. alex agrees to pretend but also needs his own favor, for cass to fill in as nanny while his mom is away.
this was a really cute, light read. i loved cass’ relationship with his daughter and how she tried to do what was best for her based on her own experiences with her mom. alex was alwayssss down so bad for cass and i was obsessed with him.

Book info: - Novella - Second chance-ish - Single dad - No cheating, omd, - With owd, third act breakup - HFN
Notes: - OWD. The baby mama comes back, saying she wants to know more about her daughter and for them to be a family. But Alex isn't interested, and he knows she's a flight risk. - They were separated for 3 days, I think. Cass left them because, in her mind, Pinky (the kid) won't get to know her mom if she's around. Also, Alex kind of shut her out after the baby mama came. - Pinky (4) is a result of Alex ONS, and the baby mama left her when she was just six weeks old. - I'm side eyeing the author because Cass never had an O before Alex. Said he was the first man she never had to fake an O with. I mean, wth is this???
Cass and Alex have known each other since they were teenagers (15/13) and Alex had a huge crush on her way back then. Well, he's still crushing on her so hard up to the present time even though years have passed. They said they always missed their chance or timing; it's either she's dating someone else or he is.
Then Cass is in need of a job, and Alex is in need of a nanny, so he offered the job to her, and she accepted it. They didn't even last a week before the tension between them snapped. The steamy scenes here are hot, ngl, but honestly, these scenes are a bit too much for my taste.
Anyway, they had a good thing going until the egg donor came back. Alex was blindsided by this, and he's the kind of person who likes to plan and control everything. So when the baby mama came, he offered one of the rooms in his house to be her temporary place. Around this time too, he didn't talk to Cass because he was thinking of ways to protect Pinky from the truth. I know he didn't want to hurt Cass, but a little reassurance from him would help her navigate their situation.
Cass had enough of Alex's avoidance, and she also thinks she's preventing Pinky from knowing her mother if she continue to stay in that house. So she left, but she talked to Pinky before leaving.
According to Alex, he's only giving her space, but he will never give up on her. After a few days, he went to her apartment, got down on his knees, and asked for her forgiveness. I mean, where can I find a guy who would drop to his knees without hesitation when he knew he fucked up?? Anyway, after seeing his sincerity, Cass forgave him, and all is well again between them.
Overall, I liked it. This is a 3 or 4 ⭐ read, but I'll settle for 3.5. I loved Pinky and Cass's relationship, and it's really adorable whenever she calls her "Mama Cass." I also like that Alex is a good father; he's perfect for this role, and his love for his daughter is so sweet to read. I liked them as individuals, but I liked them even more as a couple. They were good together, and the openness between them is so nice to read. (i'm going to forget the reason for their breakup 😂) But what I loved the most is how Alex was so down baaaad for Cass and that he knew she'll be his wife and the mother of his kids.
Anyway, this is a good read and quite enjoyable, despite the owd and third-act breakup.

Oh, I can say that I liked this book, but the first one is still my favorite by far!!! This story like the previous one has that light touch, a touch that allows you to read the book with a fluidity that when you least expect it is already finished.
The story of Alex and Cassidy I liked, when it starts they tell us how they met as kids but only spoke to each other that one time, we go on to when they are planning Aiden and Britt's wedding and Cass is the one planning everything, here she feels like she has no direction and feels like a failure even though she has been good at many of the jobs she has had she just hasn't found her calling and while she is in this dilemma Alex hires her to be his daughter's nanny (who is a wonderful girl) and that is where this whole story starts.
The relationship of these two had its tension from the beginning and at the wedding something happens that they have to pretend to be engaged and there all the tension and barriers they put up are broken and oh God I loved it, the moments of these two were spectacular, you could see the love they had for each other even when they said they didn't feel anything plus the beautiful relationship that Cassidy formed with Pinky was one of the best I could read.
It left me wanting to know a little more about all the commotion with the properties of the town, but I hope they resolve the doubts in the next book, other than that it was a good read that is read in one sitting because of how good and catchy it is.
Thanks to the author & the author agency for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review!!

3.5 stars! Was a cute read and I absolutely adore single dad x nanny romances but this one fell a bit flat. The relationship between Alex and Cass was rushed over the course of a month and they somehow convinced their closest friends and siblings they were engaged? their first kiss as children/ Alex’s first time seeing Cass naked was mentioned wayyy too many times. Like we get it, she lives rent free in your head even though you don’t talk. The addition of Drake and Jessica, (ex’s/Pinky’s bio mom) was pretty annoying too.
I loved this possibly even more than the first one. The chemistry and tension between Alex and Cas was so well done. I read this in one day because I was so sucked in. As with the first one, I was so happy that this was not a dragged out slow burn. These two can’t stop themselves with each other. The sex scenes were so good—they were intense and passionate but also emotional and intimate.
This book is still filled with tension even after they are hooking up. I loved Cas’s connection with Pinky (Alex’s daughter). She was star of this book. I totally agree with another reviewer who stated that Tia Louise writes children so well. I couldn’t get enough of her—she was so adorable and hilarious!
SPOILERS…..
My only minor complaint would be that I would have liked a little more drama when Jessica (Pinky’s mother) shows up. I was expecting her to try harder to sink her claws into Alex. He wanted nothing to do with her, but it does cause a separation between him and Cas because he simply can’t communicate. Anyway… there is a brief separation (a week) and the scene where he chases her down in the rain and pours his heart out is the reason why I read these books!! I just loved that scene so freakin much!!
When I finished this, I missed these characters so much, that I purchased both books (I read them on KU), so I can revisit them and this town again and again😝.
Every single time I read Tia Louise's books, I am left speechless. I literally loved "A little taste" and when "A little twist" landed on my Kindle, I dived straight into it.
Alex and Cass met for the first time when they were teenagers. They liked each other straight away, and Cass thought they could be friends. It turns out that being friends with Cass wasn't on Alex's mind. Even though he was still young, he wanted something more.
Well, the romance between them bloomed years later, when he was a single dad and forced by circumstances, she became his fake fiancee/nanny for his adorable little girl. One thing is for sure...The attraction between them was still there and it was getting stronger every time they were in each other's presence.
The feelings between them were still there, which helped them fall in love with each other very quickly. It was inevitable.
What I loved about Alex was, even with his daughter being his priority, he knew that sooner or later Cass would be his and they would have a future together - she was the one. Cass needed a little bit more time to decide what she really wanted from life and where she was headed. She was definitely in love with him, but she wasn't sure if what they got was only a fling or a true love. Well, Alex wasn't giving up on her and he showed her that she deserved happiness and they must certainly be together forever.
I can't stop thinking about the smut, the heat and the kinky scenes with them 🥵🥵🥵. They weren't only hot, they were explosive 🌶️🌶️🌶️. This is what I loooove with the books I read.
Overall, I really really loved this book and its main characters and I can't wait for the next book from the series ♥️♥️♥️.
***I received an ARC from Grey's Promo and this is my honest opinion.***
Cass is at that crossroads in life, trying to find her true calling without sacrificing her passions. Her friends push her towards childcare, and when she lends a hand to single dad Alex, little did she know it would lead to a captivating adventure. A white lie about their relationship spirals into a fake fiancé arrangement, and soon reality blurs with fiction in the most heartwarming way.
I'm utterly captivated by this book! It's an enchanting blend of millionaires, nannies, fake relationships, and the irresistible charm of single parenthood. From adorable children to unexpected connections, this story has it all. I'm eagerly anticipating more from Tia Louise, as she has skillfully crafted a world I can't get enough of. 💫📖❤️
🔥Small Town 🔥Single Dad 🔥Nanny 🔥Fake Engagement 🔥He Falls First 🔥Close Proximity 🔥Billionaire
A small town, fake fiancé, nanny/single dad, spicy as heck type of book.
This is exactly the type of book that I need, it has the character depth along with the spice to keep the reader enthralled throughout every single chapter.
The book comes in at under 300 pages, so it’s quick & refreshing.
Cass & Alex have chemistry from day dot and can barely keep their hands off each other. But Cass’ love for Alex’s daughter Penelope is what absolutely made my heart clench.
A Little Twist is a small town, single dad, nanny romance with a fake engagement twist.
Alex and Cass pretend to be engaged to get her ex off her back. But they have a lot of chemistry and feelings for each other. Alex’s daughter Pinky was the cutest and I fell in love with her from the beginning. I absolutely loved the bond Pinky and Cass have. This was such a great read.
Thank you Tia Louise and The Author Agency for the ARC.
4.25 stars!! Single dad x nanny romance but he’s been in love with her since they were kids 🤌🏻 I LOVED THIS!
It was low drama, low angst, high spice, lots of swoon and the cutest little girl ever. Cass & Alex we’re perfect for each other and ugh it was so sweet!!
Firstly, huge thank you to Tia for the ARC. Alex & Cass... swoon. I adored this book. The way Alex was always ready to defend Cass. His relationship with Aiden & Adam and with Pinky! Pinky was just the cutest, most feisty fireball. Her and Cass' relationship was the sweetest. Loved the small town vibes. I detested Drake & Jessica both with an absolute passion. Would've liked to know what happened to Cass' sister as well. Overall a great read!
read if you like: ♡ single dad x nanny ♡ small town ♡ fake dating ♡ forced proximity ♡ " it's always been you "
Tia really said, "Give me all of your favorite tropes, I'm going to throw them all in one book!" Ok, so not really, but I feel like that's what happened. This book literally had all my favorite things!
What is not to love?! I really liked the first book in this series, but I LOVE LOVE LOVED this book. There was just something about the dynamic between Alex & Cass that really stood out to me. Not to mention the relationship between Alex's daughter, Pinky and Cass... It was just so freaking precious. I loved this little family so much. I can't wait for the next book in this series so I can see glimpses of them again!
I think this book was fine, but nothing really pulled me in to make me keep reading. The characters were likable enough, but there just was something missing that I can’t really put my finger on. I did like the part when Jessica got flustered and dipped out, mostly because it gave me Parent Trap vibes. The spice was there, but it wasn’t exciting and took up a lot of the time. Overall, wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great.
TROPES: ♡ Small Town ♡ Single Dad x Nanny ♡ Forced Proximity ♡ Fake Engagement ♡ “It’s Always Been You”
So for the most part, I quite enjoyed this small town romance. I am sucker for a fake engagement plot line and even more so for a single-parent romance. I'm not crazy about the nanny trope personally but it's fine. I really enjoyed the beginning of this relationship when they were kids. I think there was a lot of groundwork that was laid there but I kinda figured early on that our FMC in here has a habit of running away from situations, coming to her own conclusions about things, and pair that with an MMC who is not the most forthcoming with what is on his mind either... I predicted very early on that this was going to lead to some major miscommunications...
But I'll save that for later in the review. I think Pinky, the MMC's daughter should be mentioned as she is one of the cornerstones of this love story. She was delightfully rambunctious and precocious but never crossed the line over towards being annoying or a hinderance to the progression of the story. She was great. As was the rest of the family members. They served as great supporting cast in this story as well.
Now address my personal gripe:
Connor Crais and Kirsten Leigh were both amazing in here! And despite the fact that I prefer listening to duet style narration as a personal preference, they both did such a great job bringing both MCs to life.
Overall: A very easy read. Likeable characters, cute shenanigans, meddling family members, quirky small town mysteries, and a very swoony love story.
Alex Stone wins the award for hot, smoldering brother between his siblings, but his four year old daughter stole the entire show with her overload of cuteness. 😍
Alex's daughter, Penelope or fondly known as Pinky was the absolute best part of this entire book. Sorry Cass and Alex, while I loved you as a couple, Pinky won my heart overall. She was adorable in every single moment throughout the book. However, I do give a ton of credit to Alex, his family, and Cass for all of those precious moments because, oh my heart, Pinky is the cutest child I think I've ever read.
Now, back to Cass and Alex...they are super hot and have a ton of chemistry. There isn't much to complain about when it comes to these two, except why didn't they become a couple sooner, but once you get to know Alex you realize he doesn't rush things and the good things in life are worth waiting for. I absolutely adored his words of wisdom that constantly flowed through his mind. He's a sweetheart.
Cass is more of a free spirit and her easy going life has added up to lots of life experiences that bring a sense of peace and calm to the Stone family. Where she always feels lost and chaotic, Alex feels at peace around her. Cass struggles with her sense of self, but she's a beautiful soul and just needs someone like Alex and Pinky to help it shine.
I loved returning to this small town and the feeling of belonging they all share. It's a community I'd want to live in, that's for sure and I can't wait to return for the next Stone brother.
This is my second time reading Tia Louise's books, and I am left speechless. When I read "A little taste" I love the book and characters soo much, but now when I read "A little twist I was obsessed from the very first page!!
Cass and Alex met for the first time when they were teenagers, and immediately liked each other straight away, but where Cass wanted to be friends with him,Alex turns out that being friends with Cass wasn't on his mind and wanted more. Now years later Alex is a single dad to one of the most adorable, and sweet sassy little girl. When some circumstances left Alex in search someone to watch his daughter for a month, what a better person for the role is Cass who is soo good with kids.
One thing is for sure..🤭.The attraction between them was still there and it was getting stronger every time they were in each other's company. For Alex his daughter was his priority, but in the same time he knews that sooner or later Cass would be his. Cass in other hand was a little scared and needed a little more time to decide what she really wanted from life and where she was headed. But overall they were sooo in love with each other and knews that would have a future together with little Pinky, who make me to in love with her 🥹🥹
The smut in this book was explosive with heat and the kinky scenes with them 🥵🥵🥵 damn i melt away little in every moment. I'm absolutely recommending this book to everyone who like single dad/nanny romance ,with lots of spicy in there!
Rating: 4.5 ⭐️ 3 🌶 ──────────────────────────────── Many thanks to Tia and Grey's Promotions P.R for providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. ──────────────────────────────── This story was so wholesome and adorable; filled with so many moments that had me smiling from ear to ear, giggling because of Pinky's cuteness and fanning myself because of Alex's mouth! I loved it even more because our FMC is in the teaching profession - just like myself, which made connecting to the story all the more easier. I also loved the fact that she was almost 30 with no idea what to do with her life and no steady plan. She tried out a few things, noted what worked as well as what didn't and tried out some more interests.
Society has pressured us to think that we need to constantly have our life in order and every move planned out after the next, it's so shameful for those who are in their 30s and still finding out their likes and dislikes in terms of careers as well as having no apartment or sense of "independence" for themselves. The stigmas, dirty looks and constant comparisons to other "successful" friends/family has been a canon event for people like Cass.
Tia cemented the fact that you don't have to have all your shit together in order to be happy. Every little job that Cass did was done whole heartedly and with a good intention and in doing so, she noted what worked. Tia also touched base with a lot of controversial topics; single parenting. It seemed like every time I was introduced to a new character, their kid shortly followed after. I think normalizing this in books is such a good thing, especially due to the fact that some families may be "unorthodox" but they are still a family regardless.
Ofcourse found family is one of my favorite tropes, but throw in a single dad x nanny romance, forced proximity, childhood friends and a small town; its one recipe for a spicy book filled with fleeting glances, riveting tension and a little girl with strawberry curls waiting to steal your heart. 100% recommend this to anyone who loves the above tropes mentioned.
This is a cute though typical small town nanny romance. In this story Alex is our hero and the father of ‘Pinky’ his five year old daughter. Years ago, when he was in his teens, he had an interesting run in with Cass and they’ve been ‘aware’ of each other ever since though they have ever had any real interaction since then. But that changes when Cass is planning a wedding for his brother to her best friend being held in the distillery Alex owns. They run into each other and both are very attracted to the other. Through a series of events, Cass pretends she and Alex are engaged and he goes along with it. At the same time he is looking for a temporary nanny and Cass is exactly the kind of person his little girl needs.
Both Alex and Cass are likeable as is their group of friends and family. I thought Pinky a somewhat spoiled brat but I’m not the biggest fan of kids, which is surprising considering I’ve been reading a number of books with single fathers. It’s them I’m more interested in though ;-)
This is the second book about three brothers and as it’s available on KU, I plan to read the other two about the other brothers.
This book is beyond precious. There is just something about a man who has been in love with someone since childhood that just puts me in a chokehold. This man is a family man, and the love he has for his daughter is what we all want in a man. I enjoyed this single dad - nanny romance book because it was a little different than others. Alex has been in love with Cass since he was 15 years old. He was patient in getting what he wants, which is Cass. The baby-mama story is a little different as well, which I enjoyed because it goes to show that just like in real life, not everyone wants to be a parent - but you don't have to be "evil" not wanting to be one. Alex knows what he wants and will do whatever it takes to get to be with Cass, even if that means being in a fake engagement. Alex's daughter - Pinky - is a sassy/funny little girl, who makes the book so much fun to read. If you like small town, nanny, single dad, possessive type, love at first sight.. then this book is for you. You can read this book as a stand alone, or you can read the first book of the series "A Little Taste" - which is about Alex's older brother.
Cass and Alex met when they were teenagers after Alex has escaped from his grandfather's funeral. At his brothers wedding, Alex is shocked to hear Cass's ex congratulate him on his engagement to Cass. Playing along, Alex realises that his attraction to Cass could finally be tested. Cass has felt an attraction to Alex since childhood and implying a relationship brings them closer together. When Alex asks her to be a nanny to his daughter, Cass is happy to help especially as the job comes with a place to stay. Will the fake engagement become real? This was a dream of a read with ex partners popping up to cause their own types of problems. The chemistry between them sizzles and makes you hope they realise they are meant to be together. Add in Pinky, a precocious 4 year old and the laughter breaks free! Can't wait to read Adam's book!
4.5 Stars It's Alex's turn now. I couldn't wait to dive into this one after getting know the characters a bit in his brother Aiden's book. I couldn't put this one down. I so loved the sense of humor in this one. Little Pinky is so adorable!! A little white gets out of control, but it leads to something so beautiful. Will Alex finally take his shot with Cass? Things get a little more complicated when she becomes Pinky's nanny. This book is going to grab you right form the beginning and then you'll be sad when you are done. Britt, Cass, and Piper are girl squad goals. I want to be part of their little group. I'm already looking forward to Adam's book. I highly recommend this book! The feels alone, but add the humor and heat you have a recipe for a great book!
THE WAY THAT I ADORE CASSIDY AND ALEX. this book had me smiling, giggling and kicking my feet throughout the whole book. i’m a sucker for a found family, single dad, “nanny” trope and this just did it all for me. i loved every second of their romance, him groveling for her for her forgiveness sent me flying across the room. pinky? i adore her so so much, she’s so sassy and a little terror and i relate with that so much.
Alex Stone?? the man of my dreams, this man has had his heart set on cassidy since the start and never changed and i love that so so much. we love a man who would do anything for the woman he loves.
This book made me so happy, the stone brothers- i’m excited to learn more about them and their leading ladies who i also love.
This man was playing a very patient long game with his pining for Cass. She has been in his heart since he was 15 and when the chance finally comes (16 years later) to claim her as his, he finally jumps in. Now granted, it take his brother's wedding, a misunderstanding from Cass's ex, and the need for childcare that causes him to jump but once he says yes he goes all in.
Cass is so free-spirited and as someone who still doesn't know who she wants to be when she grows up (even if I am in my 30s) I could relate to her so much. She is always eager to learn and challenge herself but her heart is so caring and nurturing that signing up to nanny for Alex is right up her alley. And Alex's daughter? The cutest, sassiest, child ever! And Penelope, or Pinky, adores Cass and they click and understand each other so easily.
This book was such a sweet and beautiful story of good things come to those who wait.
A Little Twist by Tia Louise is book Two in the Be Still Series. This is a interconnecting series so it does add to your enjoyment if you have read the previous book. But, with that said I did think it could be a standalone book. This is the story of Cass and Alex. Cass was attending a wedding where she ends up having to deal with her ex. This leads her to let him think that she is in a relationship with Alex Stone who is very well off man. But in actually fact she is just going to be a live in nanny to his daughter Penelope. Enjoyed this book.
