Written for children whose parents are cancer survivors, this thoughtful and engaging book address important survivorship issues to help families move on after treatment ends. Containing a message of hope and healing, the topics include the possibility of recurrence, continued fatigue, pain, and other symptoms, exercise and diet, proper rest and sleep, and returning to work and social life.
I had to buy this book, as it was not available in any libraries. There are a lot of survivorship issues that affect families, and my kids were super happy to listen to this one and talk about all the stuff that nobody really understands about recovery. I'm a month and a week out from my last radiation treatment, and life is getting real.
