I LOVED Twelve! It was the PERFECT ending to an AMAZING series.
Allow me a moment to rave about T.M. Franklin...
When More came out 2 years ago, I saw the reviews, the summary looked good, but I just never got around to it. I had read Windows, which was phenomenal, and then I read How to Get Ainsley Bishop to Fall in Love with You, loved it too. Then the cover reveal for Twelve came up and my curiosity was piqued once again and I remembered how much I liked the author's other stories I had read.
So I thought, why not? Let me give this trilogy a whirl.
Well, if I was flexible enough to give myself a kick in the butt, I would. The More Trilogy turned out to be one of my favorite series of the year.
T.M. Franklin's ability to create a believable supernatural world was amazing. I believed her world, so much so I am still trying to figure out how to "shift". I am positive I can do it.
The characterizations were flawless. The writing was crisp, impeccable, and just led you along like the Pied Piper. Secondary characters drove the story and were just as developed and grew right along with Ava and Caleb. The scenes flowed and segued one right after the other. A true sense of color, texture, and palpable words on every page. I have not one criticism. I am truly in awe of her talent.
Her writing is pure magic.
As for the story.
The ending was just at it should be, I was extremely pleased, but don't let that fool you. Twelve was action packed from start to finish. I was on edge the entire read. With every answer I got, new ones were created.
Trepidation to the highest power because I just wasn't sure who to trust let alone what would happen next! So many twists and turns were occurring that I was just vibrating from excitement.
The entire concept on "the Twelve" and how they came to be was a huge wow factor. It answered sooooo many questions that I had right from the start of the series, including who is Ava.
All answers were given as well as all loose ends to the huge puzzle of the More Trilogy were perfectly tied up.
A breathless and satisfying finale to a truly amazing series!
I am truly sad the series finished, but what a series! A must read for everyone!!

I’ve been anxiously waiting to see how this series was going to end, and Twelve did not disappoint! It was full of action and suspense, plus it gave us some Caleb and Ava on the side!
This book picks up where The Guardians left off. Ava and Caleb are with the Guardians, but the group knows that the only way to defeat Ava’s maniacal father is to join forces with the Council. Of course, that might be easier said than done. Plus, they’ll need to find as many members of The Twelve (Ava’s powerful brothers and sisters) before the Rogues get ahold of them first – because time is running out before the final confrontation.
What I LOVED:
Ava’s brothers and sisters.
We got to meet some more of Ava’s brothers and sisters in this book and learn more about The Twelve. There were also plenty more clashes, so we were able to see their powers in action. It was interesting to see her siblings’ interactions with their father – he was able to manipulate some of them easily (like Emma), but others resisted him. I loved seeing Ava’s connection to her brothers and sisters grow as well – it really raised the stakes in the final battle!
Surprises.
There were quite a few twists and turns in this book, some of which I didn’t see coming at all. Ava finds a really ingenious solution to a big problem – I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I realized what had happened (but I can’t give away any details!!)
Precarious relationships.
Franklin further explored the many complex relationships in this book. The Guardians and the Council had a precarious alliance at best, made more complicated by the fact that Caleb’s mother and father were forced back together again after having been on opposite sides for so long. Ava was as headstrong and stubborn as ever, so her relationship with both the Guardians and the Council was always interesting. Caleb’s relationship with his mother continued to be strained, and Ava’s relationship with her siblings (and her father) was explored as well. Throw in some tension between Caleb and Ava (due to her inability to be completely honest with him), and things get very sticky indeed!
The ending.
The ending has pretty much everything you could want for a series finale – high stakes, heart-pounding action, drama and heart. The first two books prepared us for an epic supernatural showdown, and that’s what we got!
The negatives:
Nothing specific.
I really can’t think of anything specific that bothered me about this book. I did feel like it took me a little while to get back into the story after having been away from it for so long, but that’s to be expected.
Definitely a fitting end for our heroes. Franklin gave us an exciting and emotional finale! I give it 4.5/5 stars.

When we met Ava she thought she was normal girl, but the last few weeks have taught her that her father was part of a magical group of people (called the Race) and that she is telekinetic. She's also met Caleb, who was initially sent to watch her but is now her boyfriend and biggest supporter. Ava's still learning about herself, her family, and her place within the Race.
My favourite part, yet again, is Ava. I just cannot get over how different she is from the usual protagonists I read. I think it has do to with her being slightly older than the usual YA heroine (since this is an NA novel), but also has to do with the story-telling skills of the author, who obviously doesn't need to rely on over-used tropes and archetypes to tell her story.
Now, I've said that, but I have to admit disappointment in one aspect of the story: Ava hid how unwell she was because of her burgeoning powers. She was afraid that Caleb would prevent her from taking part in rescue missions, but in my eyes it's an unforgivable act in a relationship! In my opinion, it was a completely unnecessary plot development because, right at the heart of the problem, it implies that Ava doesn't trust Caleb and that isn't the case at all. But then, if she did, she wouldn't have thought he'd try to stop her being herself ... right? (See why I hate this plot device?)
I was conflicted in meeting the rest of the Twelve because there were so many of them and many of them were reduced to names and powers. I wish we'd gotten to know them better, but that would have required a fourth book (not that I'd say no to that!) And Ava didn't really have a reaction to all these new people either - I'd have thought she'd have more to say, more to feel, about the existence of so many siblings. And we never did see Caleb try to make nice with one of Ava's brothers, which I think would have been hilarious.
The action really heated up in this instalment, and I liked seeing the as-yet unclear danger that Borré posed coalesce into a truly evil plan. Although Borré never managed to make me like him (which I think, was the point), I felt lots of love and pity for Emma. After Ava, she's definitely my favourite character (Tiernan is a close runner up). Tiernan was amazing in this book, maybe we could have a spin-off series about him :)
Twelve rounds out Ava's journey admirably, and although I am sad to let her go, I have enjoyed every moment of my time with her and Caleb. This is the kind of paranormal fantasy I love to read, and I'll be looking out for Franklin's future works with great interest. I recommend the MORE series to all readers looking for something different and wonderful in the paranormal genre. I hope you love Ava as much as I do!

If you read these posts regularly, you know how much of a fan I am of T. M. Franklin's work. I think (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) I have read everything she has published - a feat I am very proud of. I just need to buy them all in paperback so I can display them proudly on my bookcase, just need a lottery win first!
Anyway, TWELVE, is the third and final installment of the MORE trilogy (check out my review for The Guardians here - it also links to my review of MORE). I've had this book on my kindle for about a week - thank you TWCS for the ARC - but held off reading it because I didn't want the series to end. I've become a little bit attached to this ragtag bunch of characters and their fight to protect the Race. So much so, I tell most people I know to read it. Eventually, curiosity got the better of me and I started reading (coupled with being laid out by a bad back helped too) and as usual, I couldn't put it down until I had finished.
TWELVE begins with Ava getting stronger, yet the side effects are getting worse. After having her block lifted by Emma, she begins to hide their severity from Caleb. Tsk tsk. We are soon swept away by Franklin's excellent pacing as we not only observe The Guardians in their plans, but also Elias Borre, the creator and father of the Twelve. - I can freely and openly say that I didn't like him.
We are inundated with a plethora of new characters, but not once is it confusing for the reader. However much, or little, interaction we have with the new characters, they are all well rounded and integral to the plot. Franklin does this with ease and makes it read effortlessly. No once did I have to flip back a few pages to remind myself of who was who.
As is a common theme in this series, Ava continues on her path in her stubborn and caring way, which is magnified when her 'parents' are kidnapped. This, for me at least, was the catalyst for the beginning of the action. The 2nd half of the book gallops along at breakneck speed towards a conclusion that, whilst I expected elements, took my breath away.
By the time I was finished with this book, I was a mess. not only because of the perfection with which the series has ended, but also because I didn't want it to end. At least I can always re-read them, and most likely will along with my Harry Potters and The Belgariad/Mallorean series'. Then I read the acknowledgements. I began to well up because of a four letter word. My name.
T. M. Franklin, there was no need to thank me. Reading and recommending these books (and your others) has been a complete pleasure!

Twelve is the final book of TM Franklin’s More Trilogy. It continues Ava’s journey as she learns more of her powers and her siblings.It is also about the fight against Elias Borre’s rising power as both parties race to gather the remaining twelve to their side.
I loved the book right from the first chapter. It hits the ground running,with a lot of action where we immediately see the dynamics of Ava and Caleb.
I love Ava and how strong willed she is. Despite her growing powers and the difficulties that come with it, she knows her priorities. Even if those priorities sometimes conflict with her relationship with Caleb. Caleb, if my opinion, is a great fictional boyfriend, ever supportive and understanding.I loved the romance between Caleb and Ava. I loved how their gifts would compliment and supplement each other, showing how much of a perfect fit they are. Caleb, is Ava’s constant and they have become one of my favourite couples of all time.
There are many other characters. And the other remaining Twelve are introduced. But Elias Borré and Emma are the ones that stood out for me. I don’t like characters who abuse their children and many times, I wanted to whack Borré on the head. He was wonderfully manipulative and scheming. A perfect villain. Emma, on the other hand, was the most unfortunate victim of Borre’s “love”.
Family is also one of the sub plots in the book. There are three families in the story. First is Ava and her adopted parents, who although not related by blood are very close to each other. There is Gideon and Madeline and Caleb, who are separated because of circumstances, and last is the “family” of Borré who he tries to bring together but for his own purposes. I love the parallelism of these three families and how each of them compares with the others. T.M. Franklin makes everything come together for for a great ending.
Twelve has a great plot, well paced, and never a boring scene. It has a whole lot of action, love and some surprising twists. It would have been nice to give the other twelve siblings some book time, not to become just names and some description. It would made the ending alot more significant, plus maybe a fourth book? (which I will definitely look forward to, by the way).
Despite that, Twelve is an excellent read.T.M. Franklin’s writing has kept me in suspense waiting to find out what happens to Ava in the end. Her main characters are well done, making me dislike Borré as much as I pity Emma and as much as I love Ava and Caleb.

Book Review- Twelve by T.M. Franklin
In book three of The More Series, Ava and Caleb are back. The battle between the Council and the Rogues is continuing. Ava and Caleb are out rounding up those that need refuge. They are taking them to the Colony for protection. However, Ava’s headaches are getting worse and she has been keeping it from Caleb. She refuses to be left behind when fighting the Rogues. She needs to be there to protect Caleb if she needs to.
When they are rounding up those they feel are in danger, they are surprised when they find Sophie and realize she is a member of the twelve. After finding her the search begins for the remaining ten. Eva and Caleb know that Elias Borre has a master plan that includes the twelve he created. There is a race against time and evil. Ava has to make some tough choices to save the ones she loves. Caleb is going to have to trust her no matter what. She is hoping that what she has to do doesn’t ruin everything she has.
This book brings the series to a close. The odds were really against Ava, Caleb and the Guardians. Borre had been planning this for years. He was able to use others’ gifts for himself. He planned for every possibility. Ava couldn’t surprise him. He could sense her and knew he had thought of everything. Of course he underestimated his children’s loyalty. They are a force to be reckoned with whether working with him or against him.
This book continued the complex relationships the author started with the previous books. Caleb’s relationship with his mother was strenuous at best. The relationship between his mother and father was the definition of complicated. Then there was the unstable relationship between the Council and Ava. These relationships made the decisions for the characters a big part of the plot. How they related to each other created an intricate dance that enabled the situation to advance to the point it had. They all had to work together to face a common enemy.
The battle was emotionally charged and vicious. Major sacrifices were made in order to do the right thing. I wish the author would have revealed more about the twelve after the fact at the end. This book, however, was a great addition and ending to a great series. I give it a 4 out of 5.
In book three of The More Series, Ava and Caleb are back. The battle between the Council and the Rogues is continuing. Ava and Caleb are out rounding up those that need refuge. They are taking them to the Colony for protection. However, Ava’s headaches are getting worse and she has been keeping it from Caleb. She refuses to be left behind when fighting the Rogues. She needs to be there to protect Caleb if she needs to.
When they are rounding up those they feel are in danger, they are surprised when they find Sophie and realize she is a member of the twelve. After finding her the search begins for the remaining ten. Eva and Caleb know that Elias Borre has a master plan that includes the twelve he created. There is a race against time and evil. Ava has to make some tough choices to save the ones she loves. Caleb is going to have to trust her no matter what. She is hoping that what she has to do doesn’t ruin everything she has.
This book brings the series to a close. The odds were really against Ava, Caleb and the Guardians. Borre had been planning this for years. He was able to use others’ gifts for himself. He planned for every possibility. Ava couldn’t surprise him. He could sense her and knew he had thought of everything. Of course he underestimated his children’s loyalty. They are a force to be reckoned with whether working with him or against him.
This book continued the complex relationships the author started with the previous books. Caleb’s relationship with his mother was strenuous at best. The relationship between his mother and father was the definition of complicated. Then there was the unstable relationship between the Council and Ava. These relationships made the decisions for the characters a big part of the plot. How they related to each other created an intricate dance that enabled the situation to advance to the point it had. They all had to work together to face a common enemy.

Twelve, the final book in the MORE trilogy, delivers a story with punch, a lot of action and edge-of-your-seat anticipation. Just when you think you can predict what is going to happen, T.M. Franklin takes you down another path that has you scratching your head and ratcheting concern for the fate of Ava and Caleb.
The love story between Ava and Caleb, as integral as it is to the story, takes a back seat in this third book, where the needs of the many outweighs the wants of the few.
I have always taken the position that writing creates a beat and a rhythm that dictates the pacing and flow of a book. In Twelve, the beat is fast, sometimes staccato, sometimes frenetic, but always consistently delivering the action that the story demands.
T.M. Franklin successfully created characters that stand out and make an impression. There are secondary characters that continue to live with me – Tiernan, most specially. I would have loved to see more of the banter between Tiernan and Ava, and in case T.M. Franklin decides to do a sequel, I hope Tiernan makes an appearance.
T.M. Franklin has successfully created a believable world. A world where genetically designed individuals use their special powers for the fight of good versus evil. A world where enduring love is possible, where enemies can become allies and friends, and where love, truth and doing the right thing prevail.
This is a YA series that I would definitely recommend for all ages

I think by now everyone knows my love for this trilogy, and I am very sad to see it come to an end!
In Twelve, we meet Ava Michaels and she is right where we left her at the Guardian colony. With the threat of Ava’s father, Elias Borré , looming, the guardians need help and resort to working with the council. Together they will need to find the twelve and fight Elias Borré.
The theme throughout the whole book is family, Ava has her biological family, Elias Borre and the Twelve, but she also has the human family who raised her and Caleb. She has all this family and is conflicted throughout the whole story. Ava has a big heart and getting to know some of her brothers and sisters, she wanted to be there for them, but at the same time she couldn’t be there for some. We even see family struggle with Caleb, does he side with his mother or with his father? Can they ever all get along?
The villain in this book, stayed a true villain and I really despised Borre and what he was doing not only to the Race, but also to his, “children”. I truly did not like how he was able to manipulate Emma and treat her the way he did, when she only loved him.
In this last installment, the plot and writing was great, yet again! It was action packed and I never grew bored while reading the story. There were some twists that I did NOT see coming, but like any book there were one or two that as I read, I began to figure. The final installment of The More Series is finally here, and my goodness is it packed with action. The battle for control of the Race continues --a fight between the Rogues and the Council -- to see who will determine their future.
Ava and Caleb are back trying to broker a truce between the Guardians and the Council in an effort to fight Borre and his rogues. The only problem is Ava is one of Borre's children, one of twelve who were bred to fight with their father. It isn't until she realizes what the increasing frequency of her headaches means for her that she decides to take matters into her own hands.
The story really ramps up in the second half of this book and I had a hard time putting it down once the action starts. Franklin has a way of putting you into her stories and making you root for her characters.
My only real issue was with Franklin using the overused plot device of Ava hiding her headaches from Caleb, and the ultimate reveal of it all. It just didn't feel necessary to the story as a whole, and it really made me roll my eyes and set the book aside because I was so annoyed.
This book satisfactorily concludes this series in a way that will not disappoint T.M. Franklin's fans. My only beef is that I would have liked for an epilogue to round out what the future held for the Twelve. I'm still crossing my fingers for a spin off of Tiernan's story. *hint hint*

Once again, Ava and Caleb set out to save the world in a way that only they can. With a whole host of new Race members, and, of course, our familiar favorites guiding the way, we discover just who has been behind the Race's downfall in this final book of the MORE series.
Oh, how I hate letting these characters go. TWELVE brings more action and secrets are revealed as Ava learns about her true potential and Caleb figures out exactly how he fits in to the big picture. As hard as it's going to be to let these literary friends go, I couldn't have asked for a better conclusion--unless, of course, it was to hope for a spinoff.
*hint hint* Tiernan for the win!

She pulls you in with imagery that contains the full Technicolor spectrum and leaves you begging for more, while her kind heart and beautiful imagination weave into the story line, carrying you so far beyond what you expected from the typical YA book, and her well-developed characters transcend the reader into a dream realm from which you'll never want to wake.
A must read for all ages!

This the all consuming epic conclusion to the More series and is completely actioned packed.
It starts where book two finished, Ava is leaning her skills and improving them, however the side affects are getting worse.
We are given MANY new characters and a traitor is revealed.
The whole book is basically a run up to the major fight scene which of course is the main conclusion to our series where the Race along with the Guardians fight again Elias Borre and the Rogues.
Emma still shows two sides to her, the little daddies girl and the girl who wants to be friends with her sister. Eventually Emma chooses her side on her own terms.
There are a lot of plans made in secret that we only find about when they happen which keeps you reading as you certainly were no expecting it to happen.
I do hope there is a spin off book for Tiernan and I also hope we get to hear more of what happened to all of the other TWELVE, as to who could be bought round to the good side and who could not.

Well honestly, I’m running out of positive things to say about these books without repeating myself multiple times. This is, without a doubt, one of the best series I have ever had the privilege of reading.
As with the other books, the transition is seamless from one book too the next. The skill of Ms Franklin in telling her tale is absolutely sublime and makes reading an absolute pleasure.
This, the third installment of the series, has phenomenal pace and passion throughout. It just oozes from the page in giant wonderfulness. The twists and turns from the very start of this story leave you with incredible whiplash as you try to figure out who’s who, who’s good and who’s playing a double role. I’ve rarely encountered a book which has you experiencing so many different emotions all at once, and it’s just excellent.
Be warned if you do read this, the last 20% is literally impossible to put down. Even though I was falling asleep and utterly exhausted, I honestly could not stop reading. I actually slapped myself to stay awake and pinched my cheeks to make myself wake up. I’m one of these grumpy guts if I don’t get sleep, so it’s very rare anything keeps me awake, but by jove this book did it (last one that managed that was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows).
The revelations in this story came thick and fast, especially the final one (no spoilers here, but be prepared to pick your jaw up off the floor!) and I honestly did not want the story to end. In another first for a long while, I had an immense feeling of emptiness when I finished the book, and even now, several weeks after having finished it find myself missing Caleb and Ava. I need a spin off….. please? ;)
Simply put, this was absolutely stupendous writing from the very start of the series and Franklin definitely does her plot and characters justice with this final installment. I honestly cannot recommend this book highly enough, and the series as a whole are firmly wedged on my favourites list, even ousting other popular ones such as Potter and True Blood to the top spot. And yes, it’s 5 stars, but in all honesty, I’d gladly give as many as I could because quite frankly, this book deserves every star in the sky! Well done Ms Franklin, this is phenomenal writing and I doff my cap to your amazing skills!

Author T.M. Franklin did not waist anytime throwing us right into the action! From the moment this story starts we are right there with her characters battling it out! This fun fantasy world is filled with magic and surprises that keeps us on our toes as her lead heroine Ava Michaels learns about her true family and why she was created. Throughout the story we learn and discover new talented family members Ava Michaels never knew she had.
Ava Michaels has to struggle with what she was designed to do. Ava does not want to harm anyone. Not the Race she was born into or the average person. She believes that protecting humanity is more important than her own wellbeing. She must try to stop her true creator and dreaded father Elias Borre. Ava struggles with getting stronger by the moment and defying her creator in the process. Her body is designed for Borre’s army.
Ava’s talent is beyond anything the Race has ever seen and if it is any indication of what all the TWELVE are like they know that they are in serious trouble if Elias Borre plan happens.
Caleb Foster is the ying to Ava’s yang. He is her other half and does everything he can to protect his girl. I absolutely loved Caleb throughout this book. He may just be part of the Race and not the elite twelve but he is strong and very smart when it came to helping Ava with going up against her father and siblings. Caleb’s trust in Ava was something I admired about him. Even when others doubted her he never did.
Throughout this book Ava has to gain the trust of many while she proves her loyalty to bring down Borre. She truly does just want humanity to be left alone and no one in the future to dictate it.
The fun characters and world that T.M. Franklin describes in the book keep you engaged throughout the book. I am all about cool powers and what ifs and I enjoyed reading about the extraordinary gifts the elite TWELVE brought to the table.

I loved this. I loved the relationships between characters: Ava and Caleb. Ava and Tiernan. Ava and some of her siblings. I loved that T.M. Franklin dotted all of the i's and crossed all the t's. She brought us answers to any questions we had about her RACE questions.
This was fabulous.
There was a touch of humor, which was nice since the world as we humans know it could have ended.
Ava is "invited" to visit with her Bio Dad. He's just as bad as we came to expect from the last book. Her sister, Emma, pretty creepy, too. And Bartok...ugh! But then there's Sophie and their brother, Isaiah. Just like with any family, some you'd choose, and some you wish you didn't have to claim.
This was a fast and furious ride, with very little down time. Kept me on the edge of my seat clear through to the end. Then I wished there were just a few more pages. Tiernan...
While the series is YA, that's not all it is. It's urban, it's paranormal, it's contemporary, and then there's a bit of romance. This is one of the new series that you really need to read, NOW!
I look forward to many more words from T.M. Franklin. I'm sure we'll see MORE great books from her.

What can I say other than I absolutely love this series. From the first paragraph
in More to the last line in Twelve I was held captive between the pages. I've had Twelve sitting on my bookshelf since it's release in October but not wanting the series to end I put off reading it until now and what a read it was. It was nail bitting, exciting, romantic and an overall awesome read. My only regret now that I've finished, is that the series is now over and with that I'll be hearing no more of Ava and Caleb. If only there just a little more in the More Trilogy (hint hint

T.M. Franklin’s “Twelve” is a fantastic ending to this trilogy! It’s part fantasy, part NA romance, part thriller, and even part action. I love the characters and the huge interwoven storyline. The very best parts of Jumper, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Heroes, X-Men, and many more all mixed into one! I couldn’t put it down. I will say you do need to read all of the books in order, you can not just pick up this last one and fully appreciate it.

Well written third installment to a well compiled series worth picking up and starting. The characters are well fleshed out and have such depth beyond the individuals. The various strings are very well woven. The plot is captivating and intelligently devised and planned out. This is a good series with zero complaints by me or my son. We received an evaluation copy through The Writers Coffee Shop in exchange for an honest review.

One of the best series I've read in a while. The story grabs your attention and you can't stop devouring the words. Madeleine's reaction was the best here:
" Madeleine’s heart quickened. “Gideon? Is he all right?”
“For now,” Joe said, leading them down a hallway and checking a hand-drawn map. “But we need to get into position.”
Madeleine glanced nervously back at the Half-Breeds. “What about them?”
“They’re here to help.”
“Why would they help us?” Madeleine blurted out.
Joe stopped and turned to face her. “Because it’s the right thing to do.” He tilted his
head, a slight smile on his face. “Humans and Half-Breeds coming together to help
you out. I bet this is blowing your mind, isn’t it?”

God, what to say about this book? The real problem is that there is just so much I want to share. I started reading the More series when I got invited to help host a book blitz for More. The synopsis sounded amazing, so after doing the blitz I got my copy and started reading. By the time I finished a few days later I was begging for more haha. I loved how this series was different from most. As an avid paranormal reader even I can admit that if I have to read one more book about sparkling bloodsuckers I might claw my eyeballs out. Not that those books are bad, I'm just extremely done with that whole mess. They have been beaten and buried over the past few years, and finding something new and different is always a welcome surprise.
The best way I can think to explain this book is X-Men meets teen romance. Well I love me some superheros so I guess that was a very appealing aspect to these books, T.M. also has an amazing way of pulling you into her books. Even as the last words of Twelve were read all I could think was "I really hope there will be a spin off, I really hope there will be a spin off. Or even a novella. Something!! Please!!!!!!"
I really liked the characters in this series. They showed great growth as the books progressed, and some really had a way of surprising me when it was all said and done. It was developmentally great and done in a beautiful way.
In Twelve we're thrown into the middle of Ava discovering her new siblings, and the odd connection they all share. The people we put on our "good" vs. "bad" teams through books 1 and 2 are changing fast. The problem is no longer Half breed and Race, but about survival of everyone if the ultimate bad guy wins. To prevent this new lines will be drawn and i think ya'll will b e pleasantly surprised to see who chooses what. Secrecy is no longer the biggest problem anyone is facing, but a world that is in danger of a complete psycho. Oh did I tell you? Said psycho just happens to be Eva's biological dad. While Eva and the hunky Caleb fight to save the world they must also fight to save their relationship. Oh the life of a paranormal teen just trying to get through the mad world of dating, secrets, killer siblings, daddy issues, divorce... Oh wait I think this might be getting a lot more complicated then expected hehe
One thing I really enjoyed in this book was the amount of new faces T.M. introduced. We finally get to meet the illusive Twelve in their entirety, and I think you all will grow to either love or hate each of them. We also get reintroduced to some of the Race and Guardians we met in previous books, and get to understand them a bit better. Adding new characters can always be a challenge because readers get attached. When changing a dynamic it can threaten that attachment. In this case though the addition was a great success. Even in the short time you get to acclimate to everyone T.M. was able to develop everyone so you feel as if they had been there the whole time. I found myself really involved with Isaiah and Sophie in particular. The 2, though smallish parts, add to the stories depth in the best way possible, and I really found myself wanting to see how they would develop.
I know I also said that things are getting dicey between Eva and Caleb's relationship, but let me just tell you. I am all for team Ava/Caleb. Though they go through some pretty significant trust issues and the secrets start multiplying they still are by far one of my favorite book couples. The dynamic the 2 share is amazing, and their bond leaves me all tingly inside. Haha. And I am not just talking the magical mystical bond they share either. Over all 3 books we get to see how they complete each other. Where one fails the other is there to catch and support, and I love love love that. Isn't that really what we all want anyways? A tried and true relationship that offers that give and take. I feel T.M. did a stunning job making the 2 relatable in the best way.
The best part of the whole dang series? The funny little friend triangle between Eva, Caleb, and Tiernen. I love the dynamic between the 3. And lets face it, way back at the beginning of More I'm pretty sure we all wanted to throw Tiernen in a deep dark hole somewhere. And now... well he has grown to be my favorite character and I want to just hug him senseless. The quick sarcastic whit between him, Caleb, and Eva just makes me stupidly happy. It adds so much charm to the story and has a way of breaking up some of the more intense moments in the book. The way the 3 can dish it out and the other 2 can give it right back cracks me up, plus the 3 make a great team. Where one struggles the others are there to provide support, they play off each others strengths and weaknesses. It was really a great idea to change the original dynamic these 3 shared.
I have to say that overall I really am sad though. Sad to see the series end. I really feel in love with these characters and the world they live in. And personally there were some very pressing unanswered questions (Nothing that will leave you asking what the end of the story was, but more like what happened to the characters after "the end") Things that you can easily infer will happen, but sill want to see. This book definitely threw out the surprises, and I felt myself feeling very unhappy that the page numbers were dwindling down so quick. Which I guess is what an author wants to hear right?
I say to T.M. Franklin a job well done, and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next.

The best way I can think to explain this book is X-Men meets teen romance. Well I love me some superheros so I guess that was a very appealing aspect to these books, T.M. also has an amazing way of pulling you into her books. Even as the last words of Twelve were read all I could think was "I really hope there will be a spin off, I really hope there will be a spin off. Or even a novella. Something!! Please!!!!!!"
I really liked the characters in this series. They showed great growth as the books progressed, and some really had a way of surprising me when it was all said and done. It was developmentally great and done in a beautiful way.

Very cool ending to the series!
I loved reading about the 12 and learning their powers and connections. There was just enough time spent explaining the “plan” to beat Elias and a good amount spent on the actual fighting. It was not difficult to keep up with all the loving parts with so many integral characters.
The neatly wrapped bow at the end was a welcome surprise.

I really enjoyed this whole trilogy. Great characters, despicable villains and a mostly happy ending. There were a few unanswered questions the author left unanswered but this is another series I will read again.

4.5/5 Stars. Not sure how I feel about the ending still, but definitely a fantastic series. So glad I stumbled on this one!
