Going Back
In a sleepy town in Michigan, a young executive Jessie Stratford, who is now in her thirties, moves home to help out her mother when her step-father passes way. In doing so she leaves the life she loves behind. Jessie’s steps away from her over the top condo in the city, the big time job, and the collection of male callers that kept her busy on a night off from being wonder woman. The glamour and high life were now distant memories as she wakes up day after day in the room of her youth.
On top of being out of her element Jess has other things she has to overcome, memories of the past she once tried to leave behind and never recall again. Things she hadn’t even told her mother about and was going to have to lay it all on the line since she seems to be back for longer than a visit to help her mom out. When she tries to leave her mother begs her to stay.
The past in the town she has tried to out run finds Jessie. Soon her nightmares start coming back and haunting her. Before she knows it the dreams become her reality. She is trapped and alone and scared. Fighting for her life she knows it is either him or her that will make it out of this situation. She has never depended on anyone for her success but she was going to need to depend on someone for her life before she knows it.
But before her life gets turned upside down and sideways she meets a rugged handsome man that to her was just a face in the crowd growing up, but now is the only face she wants to see. Just as her life begins its long journey to the past she tries to form a relationship with the handsome stranger, Bradford Browning in order to push his father and her mother together. Jess figures if her mother finds love again she will be free to move back home to the life she misses and loves. She never expected to find someone that she couldn’t live without. The desire of the flesh starts to take her over and she can only think of Brad the hot hard bodied construction worker that has now caught her eye.
Soon she finds out that life without passion and raw heat is a life without breath or reason. Passion was never something she had in her life and she had never tasted what it was it like to be the desire of a man’s every thought. When Brad comes into her life she is teased, played with, and brought her knees with the heat. She is thrown into a passionate love affair that will be tested beyond what either of them have ever imagined. They will have to face fears and enemies they never saw coming or dreamed would be in their lives. Jess is not only going to have to hang on for her life but Brad’s too.
When Jessie is kidnapped, nearly raped, tortured, almost killed, and put through hell. She thinks this might be the end of her life, but then Brad shows up and tries to rescue her. In the process he is stabbed and now not only does Jessie have to free herself but she has to save the man she loves. When all is said and done the man she once looked over in a crowd becomes her savior.
As life begins to settle down and the worse is behind them or so they thought, things start happen and Jessie believes she is being haunted from the grave of her attacker Joel. Things start to appear and happen that she can’t control or explain; when no one believes her she left to figure it out on her own. As it gets worse her romance is threatened and so is her sanity. With Jessie doubting herself and everyone around her she begins to question even the one person she has come to depend on, Brad. No one is safe around her and no one is without reason she begins to believe to drive her crazy.

If you like thrillers and romance, then this is definitely the book for you! This story is told in a fun and exciting way that keeps you on your toes the whole time!
