I'm not really sure if I wanna continue this because Suji gets on my nerves and it's hard to imagine, Woobin, a playboy, being so naive and gullible. But I do want to know about Suji's ulterior motives. 🤔
El real "don't judge a book by its cover".
I really thought that this would be a typical cute and lighthearted romance webtoon but I was so wrong. Up until the end of S1, I still don’t know what Suji’s (FL) really up to and why she acts unhinged when Woobin’s involved. Honestly I think the characters are quite complex but while I acknowledge that Woobin didn’t have a good childhood, it was undeniable that he was a trash man. The most interesting thing in the webtoon is the different and layered relationships between the characters - everyone seems to be a little obsessed with Woobin, with the exception of his ‘sister’ Ayeong. For example, his best friend Yeon-o apparently sabotaged his chance to get adopted by a good family when he was 10 years old.
It’s quite sad how some of the characters ended up though, like how Ayeong was probably killed off by Suji. It just feels unfinished. It also feels a little unfair to Woobin who didn’t get an apology from Ayeong who had put him through so much shit.
I’m not sure how to feel about the author reintroducing Woobin into Inhye’s life when it’s kind of predictable that Woobin will just end up breaking her heart again, that he’s only there because he can’t get over Suji. Like once Suji decides to come back, Woobin will immediately drop Inhye.
I already know that S2 is going to be much darker than S1 so I’m excited to read it when all the chapters get released.
So many twists, and it's just season 1. The amount of layers to the characters, specifically woobin. I love the air of mystery in this storyline as well. All of the characters are messy and complicated but very sympathetic. When woobin and ayeong backstory got reveled it made so much sense for how they ended up the exact way they did, they literally cannot catch a break and deserve so much better !! Ayeong acc such a baddie and inhye is such a cutie patootie, like my girl just wants to be loved.
I don't know how I feel about suji yet. There is still so much yet to find out about her. But I like her duality, seemingly innocent, but is intelligent and can be manipulating. She's like a poisonous flower. An Amy-Dunne coded character kind of. Like finally a red flag fl, what a breath of fresh air...Anyway, this is a good thriller-romance, and I hope the rest of the story remains this good.
The art is so beautiful and interesting to look at. Definitely gonna be of my fav manhwa's now purley for how aesthetic and memorable the art it. The facial expressions and colour palletes, as well as the unique character designs, are done so well!
Trash belongs in a trash can, but this masterpiece belongs in a museum, It is definitely one of the best webcomics around, the way each chapter cover was filled with symbolism, the incredible use of color by the author, the contrast and parallels between the main couple and the side couple's romances, the way the person who symbolizes trash, and who symbolizes the trash can be changed along the story, it was all immaculate, definitely my favorite toxic romance story, crazy to think this is the authors debut work, I am looking forward to what EDDiERiNG does next.
Any way, this is a fantastic read, I definitely recommend it. It's 115 chapters of pure toxic bliss.
Permulaan cerita best cuma pengakhiran tu skip time cepat sgt. Macam tak nampak Woobin tu betul betul cintakan Suji? Sbb part lepas diorg kawin tu terus skip lima tahun dan muka Woobin macam tak ada perasaan.
Stress dengan Ayeong dan Yeon-o. Ayah Suji punya gaslighting 😖😖 Takut betul kalau tertipu dengan org mcm ni.
It's probably got some of the best art out of all the webcomics I've read. The characters are interesting and well-written, too. The story is still ongoing.
