At some point in our lives, every woman will, without a doubt, experience two things; love and pain. The memoirs of the women in this book represent a collective of stories that often go unheard. Stories of love and hope, that are woven with themes of grief, depression, divorce, death, addiction, adoption, miscarriage, child loss, infertility, single motherhood, and so much more. If you find yourself struggling with any aspect of motherhood, marriage or mental health, you are not alone. These tender stories will leave you feeling connected and inspired by the courage, hope and grit we often need to grow through life.
My name is Laura and I am a word-a-holic! I love to read and write anything I can get my teeth into. My favourite books are chick lit and the author I am most inspired by is Paige Toon, if you haven't read any of her books I would advise you to do so.
I have wanted to be an author for as long as I can remember but when I was in primary school I was diagnosed with dyslexia and although I was given a lot of extra help and support there were always those few people that tell you there's no point in trying as it will just lead to disappointment. When I was ten I had my palm read by a family friends friend, he was really accurate and hardly ever wrong apparently. As I was only ten I had a while to wait for the things he predicted to start happening but one by one they have all come true. I had two outstanding predictions one of which was I would become a writer and in April 2013 I took the plunge and after sitting on my pc for two years I released my book. In hindsight I should have got an editor to check it over first but we all learn from our mistakes and now I have an edited book available across the world.
A great collection of memoirs from women who have lived through trauma. Focusing on mental health and wellness, this book brings together love, joy, and sorrow.
This is a must read for all moms! It reminds you to hold your little ones tighter, to enjoy the small things and above all that we are not alone as mothers or women..
Excellent book of inspiring stories. Beautifully written and shared in a way that is so relatable for most women, I think. The book feels like a warm hug from a close friend.
