I got so engaged with this story - I started and couldn't put it down until I literally finished reading. It was great. The love between Emi and Remilia was beautiful even tho they don't interact with each other, and it's the force moving the story forward. Is interesting how Emi is living in Remilia's body but not thinking about it as just herself, but as a way of trying to make Remilia happy, and a different take on the usual "I just don't want to have a bad ending". It's also interesting how much Remilia changes while staying the same: the core of being a person that would defy anything for a loved one stays there, but with Emi's love, it changes from being something that created a distorted villainess to the force that compels Remilia to save the world and make it a better place to be worth of Emi.
I did wish Remilia had a bit more of a character development. Once she gets back her body, she continues acting like Emi acted, in a mix of honoring and keeping Emi's memory alive, but at the same time she's always saying she's just doing it because it's how Emi would act. While I did have the impression that a lot of this was how Remilia wanted to act too and she enjoyed being a good person, I wish she also acknowledged it during the story, instead of just making decisions because "it's how Emi would act".
Even tho this whole transmigrator-reborn-as-a-villainess genre usually have a lot of similar stories, I liked how this had a different take on the plot. It is pretty much focused on Remilia's revenge, showing how she planned everything so she could have a good standing and be able to clear Emi's name, and the ending was just so cathartic. There was a bit of romance and friendship with other characters, but not really a lot, but it wasn't really the focus since the story is also quite short. And also a nice little detail is how the gods weren't human-like, but incomprehensible creatures. It was a really good experience reading this.
