UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE OF ASSESSMENT AND GROUP DYNAMICS IN LEARNING: HOW TO ALIGN YOUR ASSESSMENT TO YOUR OBJECTIVES

Rate this book
An instructional objective is an explicit statement of what the learner will be able to do after instruction and it must always be measurable and observable. Objectives are very closely related to assessments because students should only be assessed on the stated objectives of a lesson or unit.Teachers should avoid the mistake of instructing students to talk to their partners in groups without providing rubric as a guideline for sharing ideas that would ultimately lead to a discussion. There should be positive interdependence among students. In connecting objectives with assessment, you are now able to determine if the objectives were achieved. You are now able to make accurate decisions about how student learn best.
